I think it's a great idea! The school system, especially once they get to middle school and high school, can be very traumatic and stay with a person for the rest of their lives. Better to give them a happy, secure experience and not put so much unnecessary pressure on them!
That’s good that they are being homeschooled but I also think it would of been nice for the girls to have a actual middle school experience ☺️ but that’s their decision ❤️
Middle school and high school will change their personalities for the negative in this era. There will be way too much peer pressure and bullying. Especially since they are in the media. They will be picked at by jealous kids with low self esteem. And it's dangerous because of stalkers. That's why you see celebrities put their kids in private school or homeschool. Regular school is not the best or safest environment anymore.🥴
Great choice! Without a doubt middle school ( junior high in my day) was the worst 3yrs of my school life. Racism, bullying, insecurities, smoking, and drugs all happened in middle school.
My older son is younger than your children and Ive introduced the idea of going to regular school and homeschool so he can get an understanding of both to see what he would say when I asked him which one he would perfer and he told me he wants to be homeschooled he has no interest in going to a school building. My family will be the only ones going into this journey in my life outside of social media and when I see these types of videos it is very encouraging to continue on this path. #11. You can go on trips whenever you want and turn it into a learning experience and not being “dinged” by the school for missing too many days. It will be interesting to watch how things go for the children and the parents. I assume Imani will be helping although I haven’t seen her in awhile. Best of luck!
Your Mom doesn't have to have a degree to homeschool. You're doing computer classes depending on the program you choose. And you can try to homeschool in a group with other kids in your area who have parents at home helping them. Some homeschool families network together. Try a Google search or Facebook or your school district for information on homeschooling. Talk to your parents or Grandparents about it💜
In France 🇫🇷 homeschooling is uncommon as middle school is different from the 🇺🇸. I’ve learned good points from your video 😇. Another reason for homeschooling would be to protect the girls from jealous teenagers as they are successful on RU-vid. 🎉 Ami is stunning 😍

But the only problem that I have with homeschool is that they don't have an opportunity to interact with their peers a lot. So you kinda have to take them to fun places like the playground so that they get to have positive interactions with their peers. However I would like to see more homeschool content from y'all.

Some of my cousin's on my mom's side of the family must have been ahead of the curve in the 90's because some of them were homeschooled while some of my other cousins also on our mom's side of the family myself included went to Christian & catholic school & we both ended up transferring to public school because of learning disabilities but it really surprised me when I talked to some of my cousin's who were homeschooled they told me they would get there school work in the morning then when they were done they did there chores then whatever they wanted to do for the rest of the day. They told me some were several grades ahead of were they were supposed to be at when I asked how. The home school work they got they told me if they finished & wanted to start working on the next grade they could & did. I was amazed at how much free time they had & asked my parents I could be homeschooled as well but at the time back then it wouldn't have worked. 🤷♀️✌️
I remember going up and going to school from the 80s to the 1997 when I graduated from the eighth. What are the high school from 97 at 2001 and graduated from high school? But I remember their first school shooting that I heard about which was call a Baron high school back at 1999 I was about 16 years old when at shoe shooting happened in Colorado. My heart still goes out to the ones and Texas. Your baldy, it's been 2 years ago that those kids lost their lives. Lot of people don't understand this is why parents seem to homeshoot their children. Because we're not promised anything on this Earth. But I'll say this to the mighty McLaren family. That's a good thing that you're home. School in your children is discussing how I world's. Just discovered you from the Washington Post. Congrats on your journey. We homeschooled and my sons are finishing their senior year at Harvard. It’s a lot of work, but worth it.
I think that’s a great idea. I homeschool my daughter and I have her signed up for a co-op called melanin village and I think that it’s great that you’re trying to homeschool the kids because we dropped one of my grandchildren and it’s crazy to think that these parents are saying goodbye to them and then the children might not be there when they go to pick them up so great idea I nobody else does❤❤❤❤❤
As a home school parent, you could do a cooking class with them, and cooking foods from around the world which can double as a geography class. I did that with my kids and my oldest ended up going to state geography bee and was a finalist. So many opportunities as home schoolers. Also you can take family trips during the school year and still do their schooling.
@@FayeWalker-of1iy Yes you could, but as a home scholing parent, you can be creative in the way you teach and not stay institutional in the way you teach. It was fun creating positive ways to teach.
I agree with y’all’s decision. My son is 16 now. And I’ve been homeschooling him since kindergarten. He did attend 3rd n 4th grade but that was it. Plus, he’s on the Autism spectrum and this works better for us. Not to mention school shootings on the rise. My anxiety is bad. I pray for all these children this school year 🙏🏾🙏🏾. You know, when I was in kindergarten lockdown “drills” were pretty common, kind of like fire drills. They became less serious as I grew older, but I remember in kindergarten, we were making a racket during the “drill” and my teacher looked scared and tears were running down her face. She said we should stop or the “monsters” would find us. We didn’t know what was happening, but I was completely clueless and just followed rules like usual. It wasn’t always for shooters, things like coyotes or something else were threats too.
I’d love to homeschool my daughter. But she gets upset when I mention it. She prefers on campus and being with friends . She goes to school for friends than schooling itself 😂
Thank you for this confirmation Mighty McClures. I have always wanted to homeschool my daughter and I also have been getting negative comments. I think it is imperative to do what is best for you and your family, only you know whats best. People will talk but they are not you. My daughter is advanced for her age and she has always been, she is sociable and full of energy so I know for sure that homeschooling her will not affect her negatively

Also even if the public school food serves food like chicken nuggets they are literally dry as heck and one time I saw my chicken nugget was pink like ew
@@Doggie-125 well in my experience our school served us beans (a Nigerian food) some people were finding weird stuff in it stones,a piece of corn, weevils etc. but our teacher still said we should eat it lol
