As a Sarawakian, I'm disagree. That will be capital city that has clean environment. Try to visit Bau (still clean and has good food) and go deeper village, there you will se scraps of plastics and mask. Every time I jog around my neighborhood, I have to take rubbish near the road then throw into rubbish bin. Most of our neighborhood still hasn't get the education on how important to secure cleanness and hygiene. I hope this new government will take notice.
@@ryanoneiljohnson8743 I agree that there is too much plastic lying around everywhere. Everyone needs to learn to put their rubbish in designated areas, like dustbins or bring it home and dispose of it there. There is still much to improve here in Sarawak on this matter.
@@ryanoneiljohnson8743 Well you do found rubbish in every parking lot especially discarded face masks. I live in Bau for all my life & most people here had high degree education. Arrogant and laziness on caring for cleanliness are slowly consumed Sarawakian.
The Sarawak tourism board must love you! Your enthusiasm is contagious. Makes me want to hop on a plane right now to see all that beautiful nature and wildlife (food and people, too!)

Looks like Sarawak will be showing up on a lot of people's radar now that Malaysia has changed their MM2H visa to nearly impossible to meet requirements for most foreigners while Sarawak has kept their MM2H visa requirements the same and quite doable. My wife and I had been considering the Malaysia MM2H visa for 3 or 4 years now but that all came to an end several weeks ago. Now we are looking at Sarawak quite seriously. We have enjoyed watching your videos and learning about life in Sarawak.
Hey William, thanks for your comment. I'm very happy that the Sarawak Government maintains their MM2H-S Programme. I have a Spouse Visa myself, but I believe Sarawak is a beautiful place to live for anyone who is keen on the MM2H programme.
Morning, wow that wonderful & believe me u will not regrets living here..We respect, humble, friendly,Good Foods,Rain forest Forest to explore & many more..See ya.. StaySafe n Have a Great Day Ahead.😷🙏✌️🇲🇾🤜
I haven't been back to Kuching for almost 2 years thanks to Covid. This is the longest time I have been unable to come back and spend time with my Mum. I wish everyone will be safe back there and may all of us get through this tough time together with strength
I know how you feel! I have not been back to The Netherlands for over 3 years. I was supposed to visit my family in April last year, but all travel plans are on hold for now.. Hopefully things change soon!
You are talking about Sarawak with so much love and passion, that it sometimes hurts. But I know. I know its for real and in your heart. And I do understand everything, because I have Sarawak in my heart for so many reasons as well. Its a tragedy we cant go and visit....but I know you are so happy xx
I live in Sarawak (Kuching, Sibu, Sarikei) for 5 years while I was studying at Unimas. Too bad I was poor as a student & couldn't travel much. I'm looking forward to visiting Sarawak again in the future as a tourist. plus my best friend is from Sarawak too, more reason to go there.
Kuching City is the 4th largest city in the whole country and probably the 2nd or the 3rd most modern city in the country which not many Malaysian knew about or probably refuse to accept the fact.
Hi! New subscriber here 🤗 Love seeing your vlog in the Kuching city so much that I go to your old videos 😂 New vlog idea, why don't you go and vlog to all shopping malls and pasar malam (uptown) in Kuching? Make it two parts video. It will be a good videos! And it will cured a little bit my "rindu" in Kuching as I'm still recovering from my accident injuries (broken right leg bone to be exact) and always at home for 10 months now. I'm a "jalan-jalan lepak-lepak" type of guy who goes to the same places/shopping malls once or twice every weeks even though not buying anything 😂 (before accident tho) because I love Kuching city so much. Anyways, excited for you next upload bro 💪 Keep it up 💪
Hey Ahmad, Thanks for watching my videos. I hope my videos help you recover a little! I have various videos planned, like visiting Pasar Malams, unfortunately the Covid restrictions make it tough to film nice videos! But I promise I will make more videos about Sarawak and Kuching - Don't you worry!
Thanks promoting 👍 I’m from Limbang,Long Napir Village the interior side of the town 3 hours drive to town and 30 minutes drive to Brunei and 4 hours drive to Miri and 1 hour to KK.Fokker 25 minutes and Twin Otter 45 minutes.By boat 🚣♀️ one day. From KL to Miri 2 hours 15 minutes.Live in KL more than 24 years.Visit Gunung Mulu National Park and Batuh Lawi.A lot of places to see those who love 🥾 hiking, fishing, camping, climbing and etc - So much to explore in the forest 🌳 thick jungles.I miss the chirping birds, the river sound, there is no vehicles sound at all,no noise,no mall,no market,no shop 🏬 to see all I see is just mountain 🏔 surrounding, back to the nature Enjoy Sarawak Guys 🙏
Hi Nick. Thank you for new video. Visiting Sarawak was on my list before covid-19 Pandemic. we will definitely visit Sarawak once interstate travel allows.🙏
Global Gibbon can you tell me if the requirements for the retiree visa in Sarawak has been changed. Your help is much appreciated, Thank you for your wonderful video.
No change from September 2020...which kept all the options (even allowing a new one for Age 40-50) and allowed local agents as well as sponsors. See the www.mtac.sarawak.gov.my page Under FOR PUBLIC.
Wow that's a pretty good information about saravak. About the international school n university's n hospital. As an foreigner my self would love to visit n see to settle down may be 🤔.thanks a lot for the information 🙏🙏🙏 .definitely a destination to go
Yes! I have climbed many mountains in Malaysia but I have never had the chance to climb Mount Kinabalu. I did climb Mount Trusmadi in Sabah a few years ago - what an adventure!

How are you able to work for a local company there? Are you married to a malaysian woman? I rather would work in Malaysia for a local wage than any day longer in my home country, which is so unhealthy not only in terms of food but also mentally, that I dont care at what amount of money I have to live, really
Encik Zakaria-You are welcome to Sarawak. Iam glad you have seen and know so much about Sarawak. The number of ethnic groups in Sarawak as provided in the Sarawak Ordinance is if I am not mistaken is 32 or 34.
Hi Sir…my hubby is thinking of moving to Kuching. One question it’s easy for expat to apply Spouse Visa SPV and to purchase a property there. In Peninsular Malaysia is really quite hassle if you are retirees expat. I’m Malaysian and My hubby is US Citizen. We are now back in US. My hubby is thinking to retires and we would like to live in Malaysia. My husband got a chance to visit Kuching for work project..when he was working in Kuala Lumpur. He’s really loves Sarawak. Thanks in advance
Hey there! I have a Spouse Visa (LTSP) here in Sarawak but that's only available for a spouse of a Sarawakian. It was quite a hassle to get. I suggest your husband gets a spouse visa from KL, if you're not Sarawakian. He will be able to stay in all of Malaysia - so also Sarawak. Regarding buying a house, he should be able to buy a house. Last I heard a minimum of 20% deposit had to be made and the property would have to be 400k+. This might be old information though. If you have any more questions, feel free to email me at globalgibbon@gmail.com.
@@MrRowley5 - Hi There. Yupp ..Malaysia is one of the country’s that very2 difficult to get PR. Now most worse that the Immigration Department has suspended the MMH2 program but I heard it’s temporary. We used to lived in Malaysia and my husband stayed on his Spouse Visa. First Application he was granted only 6 months. Then we renewed it he got 1 year.. we came back to US 2nd applications. Now it’s more difficult for expat to buy property specially Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Sarawak…For Expats…to purchase a property not less than1M under these 2 states. ☹️
@@ziesurprenant5435 Actually Sarawak has its own MMH2. It doesn't apply to federal state. In here the Sarawak government make the program and handle by themselves. Whatever happens to MMH2 in West malaysia doesn't affect to Sarawak.
Great job Nick👌on beehalf alf of my fellow Sarawakian🙏many thanks for yrs love with Sarawak 🙏yes spots on all the best about Swak👌please do keep up the best jobs about Swak👌Wish u all the best for many years for living in Swak🙏Have a wonderful days ahead n do stay safe always 🙏
Hi Nick, thanks for the wonderful video, and very informative too. I'm a Sarawakian from Kuching, but living in Brunei now. Welcome to Borneo! And i too love Sarawak Laksa or Kuching Laksa...Lol.
yes, the sarawakian supermarket is a whole experience of its own😍 As a Kuchingite who stays in west malaysia for 10 years, I really miss those English/Australian/Taiwanese and local Sarawakian brands in Sarawak supermarkets 😭 but it’s getting better here in West malaysia, as there are more higher range grocers around importing from other countries not a fan of jungle, but i’ll hike for waterfalls any day 😍
@@GlobalGibbon it’s only common recently.. back when i first came, it’s so hard to find! back then jaya, village and big, were not as accessible as today 😆
@@syedputra5955 the Sarawak Government will maintain their S-MM2H programme, which is a lot more attractive than the Federal programme. I'll be making a video about this matter soon!
Il become in love with Borneo in 2000...specaly Sabah!!! Beautiful country...but to many problems with gangsters änd corruption with who cut the trees for palmtree...specaly in Sarawak!!
Thanks Nick, you're promoting Sarawak to the Eyes of the world, we're glad to have you as the citizens of Sarawak and as part of the communities as well. Keep it up and do your job. Anyway, as you had loved Sarawak sooo well, we too, loved you for what you had given fully and Crystal Clear informations of Sarawak where about.... Very3 gooood. 😎😍👍👌👌👌❤
I wish I found this channel earlier🔥well you have got a new subscriber🤩..although I have lived in Sarawak for over 18 years but there are many places that I have not explored yet🤣
Love Malaysia-Borneo I have lived in Sarawak for 2 years because I studied at a institute there and I have traveled in several districts in Sarawak, now with the Pan Borneo Highway it will be easier to explore Borneo-Sabah & Sarawak, Eastern Malaysia.
We are really leaning towards kuching because of S-MM2H. Is kuching the best city? We have kids so schools and lifestyle for children is most important. Thank you.
Thanks for much information on Sarawak. Living in West Malaysia, I didn't know most of what you said. You are doing a great job brother. If possible try to do one on the many races of Sarawak, their history in Sarawak & would also like to listen to their languages etc. Keep up your good work Nik. Good job. Thanks.
Wow very interesting to hear that you are really amazing , I can say that I'm learning more about Sarawak from you today...hope you can speak bidayuh too...
