Pakistan 🇵🇰 cricket team has never been a powerhouse and relied on individual brilliance like Abdul Hafeez Kardar or Hanif Muhammad. Cricket decline has been sharper since the early 1980s . Even Pakistan 🇵🇰 won the World Cup in 1992 but never as a team but thanks to Divine Intervention ( Allah ) and some brilliance of inzi and Akram . Won the T20 WC in 2009 due to Afridi . Now the decline is more steep because there is not a single player . Rizwan and Babar played only for themselves not for the team.The real Pakistani team sport was hockey 🏑 which is now rejuvenating slightly in recent months . We won 4 World cups in it which is still a record .

Education develops critical thinking which painfully lacking in the Pakistani team. For example usa v Pakistan. Our captain was completely lost. The USA needed five runs from the last ball. A six can win the match and a four will force the super over. All the captain has to do is put all the players (except the bowler and keeper) on the boundary. He could not work out this simple thing and it was not the first time. Absolutely useless.

Pace is not everything in today's day and age. Today kids grow up facing bowling machines at 150. Haris Rauf and Mark Wood are the most expensive bowlers in world cup 23. Just Check Shoaib and Waqar's test record in Australia and compare that to Wasim Akram who was slowest of them all. McGrath bowled at around 135, got 563 test wickets, Anderson has high 130s, got 700 Wickets. Also, in 90s, ball tampering used to happen a lot due to lack of HD Cameras.

What Mr Nadeem said is absolutely correct. Once I was a fan of Waseem Akhram (the greatest of great bowlers of yesteryears). Once, only once, Pakistani Bowlers like Imran Khan, Waseem Akhram, Shoaib Akthar (Pindi Express), Waqar frightened the greatest of great batsmen. PCB ruined the Cricket in Pakistan. In the past, We were watching all cricket matches not for win or lose but to watch Imran, Waqar, Shoaib, Waseem, Abdul Qadir, Saqlain Musthaq, Musthak Ahmed etc etc. In the past, above Pakistani bowlers were like Ballastuc Missiles in cricket.

It's nice to see someone talking about the Army training. If you look, after that training, Pakistan lost to the US and Ireland. Athlete training differs based on role, and I believe the whole muscle system of the cricketers got shattered after that army training, as that training works on separate muscles, and cricketers need training on separate muscles based on their role. The training of a fast bowler is different from the training of a spinner/batter, as different roles require different muscles to be strong and flexible.

I totally agree with your point of view..But you haven't given reason why even strong and aggressive Pakistani cricket team of 1990's never won against India in the world cup. I reckon last reason (psychological factor) is main reason which is haunting pak team.. You need to work on mental health of your cricketers. .
Bro I am from Kolkata ,India watched your analysis. In addition to all your points I like to add one thing that is the skill level of Pakistani players at present. Last 10-15 yrs Pakistan cricket declined. Except your last points all other points were also valid during 80s and 90s but Pakistan was much better team at that time now is the skeleton of that team. Your pace bowlers are not scathing anymore. Batsmen are just club level. Another point is lack of scientific approach with the game. Last but not the least is too much presuue on players by way of criticism. Let them give some space, let take cricket as a game. Your team has the ability of winning 3 matches out 10 with India and sena countries. Just accept it.then you will have no regret.
