record shops never went away, i never stopped listening to vinyl, i thought cds were crap straight away,,,,,,,you can play mono records on a stereo....i doubt its a beautiful day is worth 100 bucks it is pretty common here in OZ, ive had many copies, their second LP is harder to get.......i guess he means a mint ,first pressing

No, he is right. Only a few months ago a store owner sold one of two he had, for 80 bucks. Also many buy just for the sleeve, as it is usually ranked in the top 20 , of iconic covers, and yes, the record was just in good condition.

You can play a mono record with a stereo cartridge and stylus w/o damaging the record. Almost every stereo record in the late 50's, the 60's and the early 70's had a statement on the back of the jacket stating you could but warned not to play a stereo record with a mono stylus.

Ole Rocker I agree with you on that. But I think hes talking about the flip ones that would be a wider stylus for the 78s on one side, and the smaller one for 33s and 45s. For sure that would do damage!

I was left a box full of 78 and a.couple of them or pale red vinal guess they go back to May be 30 or 40 title I never hear before Would love to sell them. But Don't know any thing about how to price them.the one who left them was 82 when she pass away Would love to sell them

I have about 200-300 albums in my garage that my late husband started buying in the early 1970's. They are still in their sleeves and jackets. They are rock and roll music (Beatles, Police, Three Dog Night, Chicago, etc.). How much are they worth

Luann Barber All depends on condition...jackets in plastic shrink wrap ...with paper sleeve...vinyl record in near mint...no deep marks...no scraches. Will be worth more...a record store will give you a buck or two...maybe you will get 4 or 5 from a private buyer....There are millions of records out there...be happy with a couple of bucks.. Because like everything this is a craze....it will be over .....soon .

@@limomangeno Well, My craze has been going on now since the 60's. So I wouldn't count on it ending soon. At least not with the bigger bands. It amazes me how much people give now for stuff I use to smirk at. Kiss comes to mind.

It's pronounced Laura NEER-oh, not NIGH-roh. Also, where's The Beatles butcher cover, an original pressing of Velvet Underground and Nico, numerous jazz records, etc.?
