FLuuMP In duos I’m gold 3 d4 just fell from plat I was messing around in free play and I noticed I pulled off a 180 flick after that I did it a few more times and then looked up on RU-vid to see what kind of flick it was, then I saw your video and the tournadeo flick comes very natural to me I pulled it off 2 times in my last 5 tries.
Also according to studies, 88% of all statistics are created on the spot. 😆 Source:Ummm, I did say according to studies, and I'm on the internet, so obviously it's true.
Fluump please add cc to your vids. It’s very cheap and brings your vids to the next level, not to mention it gives access to deaf viewers like me. Other benefits is people can watch your vids without sound and it also helps you get more search engine hits. Rev.com will send you captions for your video within 12 hours and it costs $1 per min. HMU if you have any questions about this. Thanks for reading. 🙂
to get power on the 45 degree flick you have to air roll in the other direction than you are turning a milisecond before you backflip. So if you are turning 45 degrees to the right you should air roll to the left right before you backflip. That way you give the backflip its full potential and the ball goes flying fast. In fact you air roll and backflip at around the same time by pressing the air roll button and pushing the joystick to the left bottom and then you backflip ( south-west xp ) in case of the example i gave.
@@spuu7881 broo. I just heard ma man Fluump just saying that we not going to have it right in the first 100 times and I just did it on my 3rd attempt while I'm a silver
I started GamerLink like a month and a half ago frisk your channel and from it I got my first bad which was hexed and now i have a heatwave Bcz of GamerLink so Ty Fluump ❤️
For real though Flump, I've been watching your videos and I have actually improved in my ranked game by going from gold 3 to plat 2 and just wanna say thank you :D
On the backwards flick, if you position the ball more on the front of the car rather than the back, then you can flick it forward with a nice arch. Plus you don't give up positioning as the backwards flip kills forward momentum so if you hit it into the backboard, you can get a rebound shot.
I usually just do a 45 degree flick with air roll mixed in. I don't have air roll (right) or air roll (left) bound anywhere on my controller, I just sorta pull the left stick backwards at a slight angle while using air roll and using boost to make small adjustments. What's important is that you delay the flick a lot so that the ball's mass will actually tilt your car to make your flick resemble a tornado flick without actually binding an extra air roll button. The only downside of course is that you can't make it a fast flick, due to the delay you need to include in the flick. It's kinda hard to explain, but I hope whoever reads this understands what I mean.
2:59 Unless they are ball chasing at you. If they straight up ball chase you then you either do this flick or a backflip flick or a side flip flick, depending on where the ball is positioned on the car.
When you say sleeping helps, you are absolutely correct. I went to bed frustrated because i couldn’t air dribble and the next morning, i was able to do it with ease.
does anyone have a really good, up to date control scheme video/tutorial? would be nice if we had a video showing how different pros approach their controller setup. and i mean everything, including the menu button, replay capture, scoreboard, rear view, air rolls etc...
The wave dash flick is one of a kind. A one great creativity indeed. Also much thanks to your tutorial, this is quiet good for beginners of flicks as you explained it in detail in every way possible. Thanks. :)
Backflip flicks are good in ones because you can catch the ball, and start dribbling back to your half and listen. When you hear your opponent challenge, backflip flick it over them and they go flying!
I figured out a way to tornado spin with just Air Roll Button instead of right or left- turn your left stick to the right or left and spam your air roll button while you do it, it's a slight bit slower during the actual spin but it definitely works
This has been well known for a long time, but it's pretty silly trying to spam one button while trying to hit others with precise timing, especially when you have plenty of open buttons and the result is a pretty soddy recreation. Attempting tornado spins this way does a lot more harm than good.
Tornado flick is posible without a extra button, what you do is you spam you air roll button while moving you stick to one side. For example just turn it left and spam your air roll button to do a tornado pin
Love the vid, here are a few tips and excersizes. For the backflip flick, try flicking it high and catching it repeatedly, helps with the flick itself and knowing how your car catches the ball. For the musty flick, once you jump, try to not boost as it pushes your car away from the ball (towards the floor) which makes it harder to get that power.
Can you do a quick vid on that really fast powerslide? Like at some point in it you switch to reversing or whatever right? It looks really strange and is very fast.
Tornado flick is the forth I learned after the front, diagonal, and while trying to learn tornado, side flick with a turn. It’s honestly not that hard to pull off (at least for kbm) and if done properly goes straight top corner.
Finally- I don't know what to bind my controls to at this point. I sorta knew I would want to throw bindings in for air roll left and right but maybe now it's too late. I definitely.dont know where to put them on my Xbox controller.
In keyboard you dont need to bind anything, q is airroll left and e is airroll right and beacuse of that you can unbind airroll (shift) wich is the same for powerslide
Ive invented a flick - (i just havent seen it before thats all). Chip the ball up and get under it, air roll so your roof is facing the ground and then dodge while holding forward. Ive only managed to flick it once its kinda tough
Ok, I will follow the first tip, I will pause the entire rocket league to do something other, got 3 rank frustrating days and It's enough, lost almost everything with the start of the new season..I should be broken in something I do, I will pause for sure
I'm surprised he didn't say anything about how the ball needs to be positioned on the car, since that's a huge part of flicks... As a rule of thumb when flicking (with octane), the ball needs to be positioned slightly more towards the front of the car for a successful flick. Just in front of the engine block. Put it slightly to one side if going for a diagonal flick. Slightly farther back if backflipping. It only becomes something you can "feel" once you understand and practice that a thousand times. There's a science to it.
i know that practicing in free play or unranked helps a ton, but i'd rather spend that time playing ranked and just improving that way (seems to have worked so far XD). Guess i'm just not going to improve that fast then
Just saying the back-flip flick can be used a lot better than what was in the video and you can take high shots with it to. I have been using this for a long time and I often get asked what that flick is. Just saying I have figured out it is easier when you have a car with a dominus hit box
Hey so I'm having trouble with delayed flicks. After I make the initial jump the ball gets too far away to do the flick. Anyone have tips or a link for delayed flicks?
Stop caring about winning, start caring about improving. If you get tilted about not being able to do things under pressure, freeplay should be your basis. If you can't flick relatively consistently in freeplay, there's no way you'll perform them well in a match.
i start the game 1 month ago but im too good and my enemies are negative smurf and they are like a homing missle that goes to the ball so which one i should use?
Can someone please help? I place the ball on my car (usually windshield, unless practicing the musty flick) but most of the time when I go to flick it, it just bounces away from me after my initial jump, and I can't hit the ball with the 2nd jump. Do I need to be going a certain speed? Should I hit boost and jump together? No boost? I know I'll eventually get it, but I'm looking for help to speed up the learning process. Thanks!
the best flick in my opinion is the 45degree flick. Because it gains the most speed of all of them, has the benefits of an delayed flick and is accurate af. Btw. most of your examples for the tornado flick´s are no flick at all, they are just shots...
