more fool him for tucking his chin over pulling his head back like your supposed to for an armless front bump. If your not sure of how to take it, don't take it.or get with your 'dance partner' to go through it until you know how to take it.
If they didn’t bring that chair up, he at least doesn’t break his face and be knocked out cold (the only time He says he was out cold for a few seconds
That wasn't a botch at all, the cage breaking was planned and you can see the black plastic zip ties on the mat that were holding that panel of the cage in place. If you know about fences than you know that steel lashings are used to construct, not plastic zip ties unless you want the fence to break under someones weight. You can also tell it was planned by where the undertake was standing, he wasn't standing on the panel that he knew was going to break and he sort of just pushed mick backwards
@@freekshow0011 No, Foley says himself that it was not planned for him to fall through the cage. You can see Taker break character because he is worried that Foley is dead
Ridge Holland dropping Johnny Gargano on his head a few years ago was horrifying. The match was being taped and it was so bad that they stopped the match, had doctors, trainers, Triple H & Shawn Michaels come out to make sure he was ok
Ya there was a third time as well too I believe. I remember watching the big e incident and seeing him do the same thing to someone weeks ago I vividly remembered saying outlook get this fucking guy off tv
Despite how high profile it was, genuinely shocked Mick taking a chokeslam through the Cell isn't on here. It wasn't supposed to go on him that way, and Taker thought he killed him.
@svartmetall see idk this could go either way. because you could they confirmed it and you could even see parts of the ceiling snapping and even i think it was Takers foot went thru the ceiling at one point so did the equipment botch? did they botch? was it a case of both? still a wild spot either way
I read that Holly was being stubborn for some reason, and decided not to rotate up as much as he should have. So Brock was like whatever and dropped him. Obviously might be BS but could be another explanation for what happened
Let's remember Luke Harper's suicide dive out to Dolph Ziggler at TLC when his arm got trapped in/under a ladder as he fell. Awesome match but my heart stopped thinking surely his arm would be broken after that.
That first slide under the ring was more dangerous than most realise. The ring supports under the apron he missed by millimetres are NOT very soft or forgiving. Thank all that is good he missed it
1:55 I'll never forget that pedigree. I think my friend downloaded it on Morpheus or Kazaa back in the day and showed me. He called it the "Pedi-Piledriver." LOL
I remember when I saw that fall Candace Michelle took--the way she hit and just went limp, I seriously thought she was dead. She's stunningly lucky to have walked away from that with just a broken clavicle.
I can tell you why. Because Brock Lesnar handled that shit like a man. Brock Lesnar once accidentally injured Bruce Prichard in a backstage segment when he kicked a door open that was blocked with a forklift. Completely destroyed Prichard's face. Required surgery the works. Before Bruce even got home there were multiple gift baskets, phone calls almost daily and making sure if Bruce needed anything it was on Lesnars dime. I have no dount Brock did the same for Bob Holly. Brock's a good dude like that. He makes a mistake owns up to it and tries to make it right. That's who he is. Holly likely felt he was taken care of or there would have been a story. Holly would not have cared of it was Lesnar. He once threatened to cut off Nash's fingers with pliers. Dude doesn't give a fuck. Lesnar took care of him.
Adam: Wrestlers put their well-being on the line *every time* they step foot into a WWE ring Santino entering the 2009 Royal Rumble: *You underestimate my power*
I Remember when Brock lesnar hit the shooting star Press @ Wrestlemania XIX that was crazy and scary all at the same time apparently it was John Laurinaitis idea to have Brock do the move since he did in OVW.
I think the biggest issue was the fact that Brock had put on some bulk between when he did it in OVW and the Mania match. That, being exhausted, and slick ropes were a combination for a bad situation. I'm just glad he didn't break his neck or worse.
This was the incident that ruined the Channel 4-WWF deal. Brits lost out ghe chance to watch four PPVs per year live on free TV, because of Mae Young's boobs (and the bloodshed of the Triple H vs. Mick Foley street fight later that night)
I’m surprised the time that Samoa Joe botched the Muscle Buster on Tyson Kidd in a house show wasn’t here. Wasn’t it said that botch nearly killed Tyson?
@@nathanbrinkley6246 something was already wrong in his neck after years of bumping, the move was done the same way it's always done, sorry if I used the wrong expression
@@nathanbrinkley6246 no, he got a broken neck but luckily he was in the 5% of peoples the the spinal cord wasn't touched, he had the same injury as Christopher Reeves but his strong neck muscles saved his life
You would think Ridge Holland is responsible for Big E breaking his neck but a move like a belly to belly suplex requires both men to do their part and if you watch it you'll see that when Holland throws Big E, Big E stiffens up and keeps his back straight instead of staying relaxed and rolling with it. This is probably why Big E doesn't hold a grudge against Holland.
I vaguely remember a specific moment but I can't remember the two wrestlers involved. I think it was a catch spot and one person didn't get as much distance as they wanted. The only thing I really remember is that as they both fell together, one wrestler tried to subtly hold the other's head/neck just in case their neck had been injured. I want to say it was a Sheamus match but I'm not confident in that.
Maybe the Kalisto/Ryback spot? Kalisto goes to springboard to the outside from the middle rope, but only just makes it over the rope and is about to land on his head on the apron before Ryback catches him and falls back to the mat
I wouldn’t be shocked, my guess you remember your mess ups (sorta how you can’t remember your good wins in poker but I can name numerous hands I have lost due to bad beats (flops on River)
Another that should've been on this list: Christopher Nowinski at the 2003 Royal Rumble. Edge landed on top of his head by accident after a badly timed double missile dropkick by Rey Mysterio and Edge, and suffered a career-ending concussion.
Brock Lesnar’s shooting star press was reckless because Kurt Angle was too far away. Ever seen Ric Flair getting closer to the corner on the canvas to take the move?
Brock should have audible there, fortunately Brock has a an oak tree trunk for a neck and was lucky to only get a concussion (which is still serious but anyone else, they are doing a documentary with Droz how how wrestling put them In a wheel chair )
That wasn't a botch as it didn't happen in the wrestling ring it was just an unfortunate circumstance that the Zipline wasn't properly secured granted an entrance that should never have happened
Lesnar is a madman, I still can't believe he went for a 3/4 ring SSP. Some of the OVW ones are thunderous. The moral of the video is to never neglect your neck-strengthening regimen!
Honorable mention would be Vinnie Mac getting a wiplash off his head from the squared circle during The Corporation Royal Rumble in 1999(?) from Chyna.
The strangest thing about the Hardcore/Lesnar powerbomb is that a lot of people said that Bob purposefully sandbagged Brock, which is just crazy.. Why the hell would he sandbag the guy who was about to powerbomb him? He's Hardcore, not suicidal lol
The sandbag logic is that Holly didn't realize Lesnar was strong enough to do the move without Holly's assistance. The belief also benefits a bit from the idea of karma, that a bully like Holly got bit hard during one of his attempts to "teach" one of his opponents a lesson.
There isn't a man alive I would trust enough to let give me a piledriver. Honestly. Not even 'Taker. He's done it probably thousands of times with only a few botches, but even still I'm not taking those odds. A botched piledriver is one of the hardest things to watch. I would legitimately rather do the Mick Foley bump where he gets thrown off the cage through the announce table.
Just imagine if all these botches went worse than they already did. No More Foley, No more Brock, No more Spike Dudley, No More Kurt, No more Holly, No More Candice, No More Big E, No More Undertaker, No More Madcap, No More Mercury And No More Stone Cold.
After Undertaker planted Goldberg on his head with that Tombstone that match should have been stopped immediately. Really, it should not have been booked in the first place. Both men were clearly struggling with the heat in the venue and were far too tired and years away from the conditioning they need to perform their signatures safely.
As someone who lived in Seattle, I literally cannot stop laughing at how you pronounced "Safeco" in Seattle's Safeco Field. It's Safe-co and you went with Sa-fake-o? Getting the first e sound wrong is okay, but WHERE ARE YOU GETTING THAT SECOND E FROM?!?
during my preteen schools day, i had a friend who i fake wrestled with. he used to perform the tombstone on me for fun. but one time, he did the tombstone on me and i think he misjudged the landing. my head literally hit the concrete floor with a bang. tried to pin me but i still kicked out :D . another time my and i were doing a play on stage from a scene in romeo and juliet. the fight scene. i told him to do the pedigree. he did. all too seriously. my skull smashed into the wooden stage floor cuz he didnt release my hands. i saw stars flying when i hit. was out for like a min
Here after learning of the probable retirement of Big E. I dont need to see another ghastly botch like his, much less one that can take out a star like E. Such a loss
