"...you can improve your self defense capabilities without having to worry about training" is the worst sentence I've ever heard.

I just bought the Fast Strike and am well pleased. I watched different videos, comparing similar weapons with each other and chose Fast Strike for the following reasons: 1. It's conceal-ability, either down your pant leg or my preference, in my belt loops. 2. Comfort. You don't know your wearing it when in your belt loops and it is easily used. 3. Unlike a lot of self defense gadgets, this lets you maintain distance from your opponent 4. As shown in this video, you whip it around as you hit, making it very hard for an attacker to take it away from you. 5. Most important, it hurts. Just hitting myself at about 10 % (once across my forearm an once on my back) produced a considerable amount of pain. I can't imagine being hit using full force. The one on my back produced the most pain. As the cable portion wrapped over my shoulder (which produced pain), it snapped the stainless steel tip into my back with even more force and a lot more pain. I also bought the wrist strap, for about $3 more, but quickly realized it was really useless. The object is conceal-ability. The strap makes it harder to conceal and when needed, you certainly don't have time to put the strap on. To walk around with it dangling from you wrist, totally takes away the element of surprise and gives your attacker time to think up ways to countermand the Fast Strike. I would not use the butt end as a weapon since this might knock it out of your hand. I paid $30 for the Fast Strike, strap plus shipping and see it as money well spent.

In 3rd grade a bully gave me a black eye and bloody nose. Like 2yrs later the Principal called my dad at work demanding that I was picked up immediately from school. A lot of these products require training, especially in the realm of empty handed skills. Some of these products are dubious at best. Buyer beware. Because of the affiliate relationship, there is a monetary incentive for this infomercial channel to sell these things. "Ideal Conceal..." Really? It's not quick into action nor easy to aim under stress. Is it even legal in all 50 states? It might make a great back up gun to your back up gun. As to the Nimb, when seconds matter, help is only minutes away. Bola Wrap, you only get one shot. Pepper Spray gun? No, that would never be mistaken for a lethal weapon and get you shot by someone with a real gun. I like the distance factor, but then you have a problem of claiming a person was an imminent threat. You could be charged with assault. It's not very concealable, is it? The problem with Zap is that you need to be up close and personal. If you don't have skills, you don't want to be within arms reach of your assailant. Tiger Lady? If you don't already have those in hand, you're screwed. If you don't have empty handed skills, you're really screwed. Tasers are, at best, reliable 50% of the time. That's why cops who use them only do so with lethal backup in case the taser fails. Ask any cop if they would trust their life to a taser. Its ability to work effectively is dependent on distance, environment (is there a little tree branch in the way?) and clothing of the assailant. Yellow Jacked requires empty handed skills. Instafire does not list the percentage of Major Capsaicinoids. That is different from the OC content. Without knowing that, you are throwing your money and safety away. I like the idea of the Fast Strike, problem is, you need empty handed skills for it to be effective.

Without situational awareness , this is not going to be effective .

Hopefully this isn't the first comment, and it's critical. The bola shooter can impact the skin, and really cut up a perp and possibly land you in court. The salt guns are legally questionable, and can get someone killed if the other person has a weapon. Tazer knuckles are also illegal in a lot of places because they're basically brass knuckles, and tasers alone are also banned in some places. The taser pistol is good, expensive, legally questionable, and it's not too common knowledge that they don't work on thick layers like heavy jackets. Pepper spray isn't always legal, so check local laws. The flexible quickstick may be usable in most states since it's not actually a true "quickstick." In many places, carrying a quickstick is illegal. Support about being so critical, because the tech is pretty cool. This is simply to help out somebody who may see the video, and think there's no issues if they buy it, then get in trouble for having it. Have a great weekend, everybody.

The bolawrap is a great idea, needs a little fine tuning like maybe double shot capability so you can wrap legs and arms or legs twice to increase time it takes for attacker to get up. There are double shot tasers, so shouldn't be too long before they add that capability to a different model.

Im pretty sure when the claw scrapes someone, dna will be an afterthought since the scratch marks are pretty unique.

I feel like the Bola wrap one would be a lot more useful to a serial killer or rapist than it would be to someone trying to defend themselves. It's more of a catching people who are running away from you tool, then a stopping someone trying to attack you one lol

The Cat Claws DNA collector is the most useful item here. Just carefully scratch yourself during the attack and when they eventually find your violated body they won't need dental records to identify you 😄

Living in a "safe" neighborhood helps a lot, stay away from inner cities where you don't know the lay of the land, park under a light not in the dark side of a public garage, be aware of your environment and have an escape route if possible, don't behave like an easy target, etc.

There is a lot of self defense weapons But there's isn't one for the element of surprise

You can diy by hammering nails in a small piece of wood ad foam in the back and cut off the nail heads. 4. taser pulse: at $500 and taser cartridges at $30+ a piece. I actually have been knocked out by something VERY similar to the “Fast Strike” because I was so skeptical when my buddy bought one for his girl si let him hit me..well he decided to trip as he went to hit me and hit me on the chin and that’s all she wrote! Lol other than that one tho these others will likely get you killed or arrested without proper training

My best weapon for self defense is the intelligence I have to helps me realize I'm not in danger when I'm walking around. I have a bigger chance of being in a fire than being in a wild west shootout, but I don't carry around a fire extinguisher in a constant panic state.

That gives you better options 3- Make a lot of noise and try to have a strong confident voice 4- Pick something to fight with like a rock or a stick 5- Think quickly ... Inteligent can overcome 6- Know when to run ... Outnumbered like 2 or more ... 7- Know when to hide ... 8- Know when to fight for yourlife or if it is not worth it 9- Call the police or sick help 10- Try to not stay at home alone 11- Don't let precious things in home just hide them or in bank 12- Check the doors and windows before going to sleep 13- Install cameras around if you have a big house 14- Hire a security guy 15- Make it clear that losing your life for your rights is not a bad thing ... 16- Stay safe

Fast strike close quarters defense nice 👍 if caught off guard.

I doubt any of these would work without considerable training. There are videos on YT about armed professionals being attacked and totally incapacitated by an assailant with a knife before they even have time to get it out of the holster, let alone remove the safety and point and shoot with accuracy. Be aware to be safe is the first rule of self defence.

It's important to know tasers only disable an attacker while shocking and only disable 50% of the time. Agressive people can fight through it.

I'm in law enforcement. Each of these "defense" options are considered as weapons in the state of Florida. You need a concealed carry permit to carry these. FYI. You will be charged and probably arrested if you use them in an aggressive manner.

That bolo gun is coooool. I read a story about a guy that was almost black out drunk and at a gas station nearly falling asleep on the counter and the clerk tried to get him to not drive and called 911, he did and a half mile away ran over a woman on the sidewalk and killed her. That Bolo would have been a great way to detain him until cops arrive without legal repercussions.

Some awesome products, I can feel comfortable in any threatening situation with any of these products.

I made a gadget called the Blanka. It's a lightweight jacket with the inside being insulated with a thin rubber lining but the outside has thin copper wires that are slightly exposed and connected to a small powerful battery. If someone grabs you, they get shocked. I named it after Blanka from street fighter. He can shock people if they touch him.

Minus the gun, none of these will save you from an attacker. Yes, it will conflict pain towards them, if you're actually able to hit them, it won't stop them. Attackers don't normally show themselves, or give warning that they are going to attack you. That's why, if you truly want piece of mind, either get your CCW / CPL (in Michigan) and train constantly, or do martial arts that's effective towards street fighting. Not all martial arts is for self defense.. Also, you better hope your state has a "Stand your Ground" law in place. If you're found that you used any of the stuff showed here, you will be prosecuted..

Now there's a caveat I can embrace... "Before we get started, make sure you hit that 'like' button" (just in case this sucks) and was all I needed to hit the 'back' button. Judging by the other revues I didn't miss anything of value.

Some of those devices are either outright illegal or will make your self-defense claim very difficult to defend in court. Remember, it is illegal to use force of any kind against another persons. It sounds crazy but when you defend yourself, YOU are committing a crime of violence. The justification that you used that force in self-defense comes later. Having devices like these in your possession can put your case in jeopardy. I'm not a lawyer but when I decided to accept responsibility for my safety, I did a HUGE amount of training and research. Like most law-abiding citizens, I had a completely inaccurate view of the real picture. Self-defense law is unbelievably complex. The best thing to do is become very familiar with the self-defense laws of your state, city and locality. Ask a lot of questions. While we all have the constitutional right to live in peace, the legal framework around self-defense can often work against you. Talk to your local law enforcement. Join groups that specialize in educating responsibly armed citizens. What you learn may mean the difference between going home to your family and spending the next several years in prison.
