dislikes dont make it so maps are seen less often, it does nothing but tell the devs what maps arnt liked, this is easily seen by the point that a lot of people get their dislikes maps as often as their liked maps
I did that so long ago that I forgot I did it because there was absolutely no noticeable difference... And yet I still stay with the Snail Lords for some unknown reason...
I still dont understan why the block vertical aim is useful, the gun simply moves way to much when stopping and then you have to wait even more for it to reach your aim???
Great vid. I think that "Block vertical aiming..." is a potential game changer for me. Has been so frustrating and didn't know there was anything that could be done about it.
@@Skyrim279 Stops the overcorrectiono of the gun aiming while moving. He demonstrated it perfectly in the video. Imagine you are driving and you see an enemy and notice a dip in front of you. You can learn to time your shot even while your tanks moves up and down vertically. If you add in the game trying to adjust itself, it's just another variable that you have to try and account for; and like he said, when you stop moving up and down from the dip, your gun can be in a bad position (pointed up) to take the first shot.
@@ichdu6132 You do know that some people dont a NASA Supercomputer lying around to play War thunder. And turning of grass can actually really increase the FPS for these people. I used to play on a garbage laptop and had like 25 fps with grass and 30 without the grass.
@@ichdu6132 I understand the sentiment, if war thunder were a game just released today, they would definitely do that. However, since the game is quite old doing something that stops players that could run the game at low (they definitely exist) but really can't handle the grass. Personally I find grass popping in and out of view when aiming down sight a bit too jarring, so I turned down the grass completely. Sure looks like shit, but I rather have it look consistent. Knowing it is optional, ideally the grass would have to be very low, so it doesn't block your view, sadly they made it quite high giving a clear advantage to disabling it.
guys dont enable the block vertical aiming if you're in a non stablized but fast gun elevation tank such as high speed sp aa or armored car. your braking takes super long and the gun doesn't aim even it could

@@jamestriplett5854 tried it and no when your turret is fast it doesnt help much because you shoot before compensating xD (pro tip dont wait your enemy kill you) much useful on low depression tank like russians i would say, 0° depression is perfect with it

would be great to see you make a video or videos going over all your control schemes for tanks and aircraft, as I've been reaching higher tiers I've been struggling to figure out a setup that works for me
This can be difficult because many gaming PC's peripherals aren't standard like a console can be. I sometimes use a gamepad instead of the keyboard, depending if I'm flying vs using ground vehicles, plus my mouse has 9 configurable buttons I preset for whatever tier I'm playing/squad commands. This I found personally helps my gaming. So, I must imagine that a content creator MAY have to make some substitutions too, not having the basic peripherals.
My controls make no sense to anyone but me, haha. I'm convinced that if I shared them, I'd probably be laughed out of the community, while simultaneously hurting other peoples' playstyles.
So im a fairly new player and this video was a great help. If it's possible, could you do a special button mapping video for consoles? Low tier im ok but higher tiers with more tech gets tricky when assigning buttons. Just wondering if there's any good controller mapping for ground, air and naval
I wouldn't be able to learn how to properly configure my keyboard without the help of an expert, that for example told me to set rangefinder, or how to better set up planes. Now I would need to learn how to use the the marketplace... if I want to still play it.
Just a little tip, most people think that you can't turn off the Mach cloud. However, you can do this by turning on Old Video card support, then just turning only your textures back up to high. Boom, no mach cloud

Someone knows how i can make use of my binoculars or normal zooming without the tank maingun rolling where im looking at? Its really frustrating when trying to maintain a hidden position and the canon isnt in place to fire.
My tanks turn super fast when I slightly move my stick I just got the game so I don't know if it's a game mechanic or something bit I want to drive a tank and Tokyo drift into other tanks.
You should make a video on the avalability on all the tanks that arent avalable. We regular players cant acces or own marketplace or event vehicles. Its way too hard to win any tanks and the marketplace tanks are way too expensive. everything should be avalable trough golden eagles.
Wht good affordable headset I would recommend cause my only problem for now other than fcking blind eye harder to differentiate tank and environment is sound ?

Is there a way for me to disable chat completely as in I cant send messages. I have supreme rage abilities. And say vulgar things in retaliation, and I don’t want to get banned lol. I would be relieved to block that from happening.
Dear Tankenstein. Banning maps do work, but like od dislike seem to have absolutely no effect on game. I Banned mozdok because Fword mozdok, and disliked rest of shoot from spawn to spawn maps, I like big complicated maps and city maps, where there cant be snipers, my absolute favourite is Abandoned Factory, which is the ONLY map i pressed "like" in game. Looking back onto my last 3 days of gameplay, sessions 4-6 hours. Somehow i NEVER played a factory in those 3 days playing realistic. ANd all those disliked stupid sniping maps that i dislked, at least couple of times.
Map system is completely broken, my disliked maps show up multiple times even back to back while my liked maps rarely come up, some I have months I haven't played on
Dude, the grass in the tank sight one I hate. I get that people would find it annoying, but for those looking for a more realistic experience it puts them at an unfair disadvantage, I feel.
I should be able to ban as many maps as I want. The more I ban the longer my Que time would be so its self-regulating. And Gaijin would have more direct data on which maps are the least popular.
Why no mention about the "Other players engine volume" soundsetting? The most stupid and also strongest setting you can have at max. I wish they would remove it and turn it down to 0 for everyone...
Ban one map LMFAO cheap @$$ people can't give paid customers more than one map to ban. I get my disliked maps more than I like and sometimes over and over again ... gaijin doesn't like me. But I think it's just for Gaijin to know what maps are not liked and it still gives us the dang map we dislike.
I like how you can choose not to see fictional camos but when someone plants a small forest in front of their tank and they wouldn't be able to see shit, that's fine 😂

@the option at ~ 7:45 i do highly recommand for tryhard new players. if you get killed by a enemy player and feel like he is cheating. go to the replay and watch him go. this way you will see what lead up to him killing you. and pretty much every time it will not have to do with cheating at all.
You forgot squadron markers. Not only for squadrons, but so you can see your marker on both maps to guess distance / or how far you can see into a zone
I'm honestly surprised you didn't mention the "view from gunner sight - off" setting but at the same time I, as 3500 h war thunder veteran, had no idea about that "block vertical guidance while braking" being a thing.
