Four of us were on our way home from a long week of work in Midland Texas. It was midnight. We were headed back to Austin when an 18 Wheeler got in front of us. He thought there was an exit, but it was an overpass and the truck hit the guardrail, burst into flames and exploded as it fell to the road below! Everything went into slow motion and our car was covered in diesel gas from the tank exploding as we passed! We are so lucky to be alive today to tell the tale!

I was omw back home from NC when this happened. Was going through Virginia as it was down pouring. Couldn’t see anymore than a few feet in front of me through the mountains. Had a douchebag trucker come flying passed me at 80+ mph and I know he was going that fast because I was going 75 mph when he flew passed me. Literally almost blew my car off the road. I had to regain control of my car. Come to find out… I rolled up on the same trucker about 6 miles later and his entire front end of the truck was gone. Like literally engine and all was gone. Nowhere to be found. Apparently the guy lost control and smashed into a barrier and the front end of his truck flew off the side of the mountain…😂 I laughed (ik I shouldn’t have) but karma is a real bitch😭😂

We where going down the freeway going on a camping trip when a semi hauling fuel passed us going way to fast. Some time later there was lots of black smoke well down the road. @LizFromDecencyUnited
@LizFromDecencyUnited 9 месяцев назад
The first one, I'm 99% sure that it was a fuel line that gave out/disconnected that caused the gas fire. Seeing as it started at the front of the car, under the engine, that's about the only thing it could be. Once it popped, it started dripping fuel, and just about any tiny spark could have ignited it, especially if the fuel line was held on by a metal clamp, and the clamp end was bouncing on the ground. (I'm a mechanic, and am just giving it my best educated guess :) )
@TheSanpletext
@TheSanpletext 6 месяцев назад
Or gas spilling on exhaust manifold etc. Gasoline self ignition temperature is around 280*C and manifolds can easily get that hot. Catalytic converter also gets hot and small leak in exhaust pipe can help the super hot exhaust gasses out the system and to ignite spilled gas.
@LizFromDecencyUnited
@LizFromDecencyUnited 6 месяцев назад
@@TheSanpletext Oh yeah, lots of things could have ignited it, that's for sure. I was more going off of how it kind of just kept following the car, so that made me think lower fuel line.

@joshriver75
@joshriver75 9 месяцев назад
@@denniswilliams3934 Oh sure...but there's usually a helluva lot of "split seconds" wasted up until a driver sees the actual train coming. And let's be real here! Generally you can see a train coming from a long, long way off. Plenty of time to pull the pin and jump in the cab and move the truck. And if you're someone THAT paranoid about preserving your own life then maybe drop the trailer instead of standing around with your thumb up your butt while on the phone with the dispatcher....you know..BEFORE you see the train. Mine is an in-town trip in early college, shortly after getting my license. I had to go to a specific store across town, to get something I needed for my class project (can't recall what). Dad drove me, since it was rush hour and he wanted to show me a way to get there without first taking two major highways to get to the third highway we needed. We took a highway entrance ramp from down town, and all was well until someone driving a brand-new, bright-red, full-sized Hummer came on from another entrance ramp to our right, and apparently decided our entrance ramp was an exit ramp--and tried doing a u-turn into 3+ lanes of oncoming traffic! I didn't realize just how gigantic hummers were until we had one barely 50 feet in front of us, covering almost all three lanes, tall enough that dad's sedan might have been able to go right under it. Dad stayed completely calm, changed lanes and went around, so I've no idea what happened afterwards, but ho-boy was I glad he was the one driving! Thinking back on it, I have to wonder if the Hummer was too tall to fit under the upcoming overpass, but they wouldn't have fit under the overpass we'd just come out from, either.

#5 is incorrect. The first car slowed down. The first truck swerved of to the side of the road because he couldn’t stop in time. Subsequently the next car slowed and then the tanker slammed on his breaks causing his truck to Jack knife into the on coming truck on the other side of the road

The driver gets a load and plots a course to the destination. The only thing dispatch does is give a location to pickup a load and then the destination of the load. All the in between is up to the driver. 2:59

You forgot that most dispatch insist on a strict time scale, not caring to consider any circumstances. "It has to be at such-n-such place at exactly such-n-such time or else."

The one about the sink hole in China and the decisions made. IT'S HEART BREAKING! Look at what is happening. After the initial sink hole opening followed by the two vehicles falling in a deep hole. The surrounding earth kept flowing in on top of them cutting off air for them to breath. Just minutes left to save them alive. If magically there was a first responder crew properly outfitted with digging tools in an instant and was on the spot there jumped down there to dig them out, maybe. Then the crew could have been buried alive as well as the hole continued to get bigger. I think too much time had passed for a living rescue and that hole was a threat to the public. I think that was why the authorities made the decision they did. It's NOT a good one. But what would be a GOOD one?

I am a retired older man. Used to own semis- late 70's -mid 80's. Dispatch , only gives you the DESTINATION, on your load paperwork / bill of lading, etc. No where, in my experience hauling asphalt, diesel , CRUDE OIL, ((field wells- did ALOT of this )) cement powder / cattle / grain / acid / liquid fertilizer. do i recall any ' preferred , or alternate ''' route. ONE, must of necessity, check-out the various routes to that destination ; then, choose the shortest one. Then, check for scales / toll gates / LOW OBSTRUCTIONS , ( like trestles, overpasses, etc ) and weight restrictions, if there are any. Then, choose the safest route, while still holding onto the shortest one = CHOOSE wisely. Your life , and equipment / pocket book will thank you . ! DRIVE COMMON-SENSE = put that phone in the trunk ; ALONG with your ' schedule '. Drive to arrive, ALIVE = not 'time' dependant. Times are NOT WHAT THEY USED TO BE.... Turn off gps - USE A PAPER MAP ...and PAY ATTENTION.

Filling that hole? Leaving the 3 people inside, sick. Also a burst water pipe means filling it is a waste of time it will just happen again except you have murdered 3 people as well. Looks like a ready made grave for politicians, better fill it up.

If there have to be such crude train crossings, surely the road could be lifted slightly on either side so that trucks don't bottom out?

There was plenty of ground clearance under the truck "stuck" on the railway crossing. Either it broke down at a very unfortunate moment or it was an insurance scam.

I feel like I'm having a deja vu moment regarding the clip of the sinkhole in China that was filled in rather than rescue the people that fell in there. I could've swore you had another clip of something similar happen in China where people fell into it and the Chinese government decided to fill that while the people were in the sinkhole. It would've been months or a year ago (maybe more...I've been watching you for a while) when you did that vid because I remember my reaction being "WTF?" and when you did this video, I wasn't shocked. It is possible I did see a similar video on another channel and forgot about it.

I'd say the most craziest one AND messed up one is #2: the sinkhole in China. That is really sad that instead of trying to save them THEN fill it up, they decided to bury them alive. The world we live in is really screwed up tbh. Rest in peace for the people who passed away down there and blessings to who ever lost their loved ones due to that HORRIBLE tragedy. ❤️‍🩹

Wherever you hear -BEEP- -BEEP- just think "SHIIIIT!!" FUUUUCKK!!" Those diesel engine trains weigh over 100 tons and are driven by no less than 4000 hp (at least that's what we have on Long Island), so they'll go right through anything that gets on the tracks.

To the people who fell through the ice driving on ice is a skill the most dangerous part about driving on ice is when you get to the edge of the lake the wave you cause driving across the ice bounces off the floor and it causes the ice to fracture that's why he broke through the ice but the car never sank cuz it was hitting bottom you must always slow down when coming to the edge of the lake

This first clip, not pouring gas from the tank, it was a failure at the high pressure fuel pump source under the hood of the car at the engine, you can clearly see that in the clip. Even basic knowledge of cars lets one realize the tank is in the back of the car, which this video maker obviously didn't know.
