Eating alone, thinking a lot, not letting people in, hating small talk and want deep connections. Sounds a lot like introverts

The problem is, people find me "scary" before they know me, but after they do, they'll find me "nice and sweet", and when they know me better, they'll discover that yes, I'm actually "scary" 😂

This personality can be a blessing, but it can be a HUGE curse. Things people have told me about me: "You are too gruff/ruff/blunt.", "You are intimidating.", and "You are too serious." Some people dislike me before they even meet me. It's weird.

I used to be exactly like this up until a year ago, when I went through some traumatic events. These events have silenced me. I am currently trying to get my strenght back and become the strong, confident, brave person I once was. I hope I will get all of this and more back.

I kinda sad when people proudly say that they hate small talks though. I'm naturally introvert, but I think there's so much to learn from extroverts. Small talks aren't that bad when you just get to know people, it's a sign that they're simply interested and want to know you. Just respond kindly and politely to appreciate them. They might clicked with you, or might not, and it's okay. Me in the past was so afraid of new people. Then my friend encouraged me to greet new colleagues first trough chatting because we do things online now. And I realized how rude 'shy' people who don't respond are actually. I was hurt a lot at first by some rude and cold responses, but there's also some people who responded nicely. So I learn to overcome embarrassment from 'rejection' and find myself become more brave to chat new people first. The more I got rejections, the more I learn how to not give a shit about how people would respond and just go do it, while putting my ego on my sleeve. That's when I realized that extroverts are actually brave and appreciative people, and I want to learn some of that bravery for myself

I realized I had a strong personality when I would just literally be myself and people would either react very positively to me or very negatively to me. It seems there’s no in between, like I don’t have neutral acquaintances. I have true friends or people that completely avoid or openly hate me. Strong personalities produce strong reactions in others.

My teacher had a class meeting and she said," One girl hates me" And then she talked to me in front of the whole class and said why don't you let me inspire you and let my seed grow in you? I answered in my mind: I am very careful for who I let to inspire me. And sadly, you aren't one of them.

I tick most of these, and all in all I’m just very very intense. All my emotions are amplified. And I’m opinionated. And I’m not all that scared of most shit until my anxiety kicks in.

people find me intimidating when they first meet me. I've had some of my good friends tell me that when they first met me they were afraid to talk to me because i was just so talkative and popular and my personality seemed so exuberant, i was loud and opinionated and took no one's bull shit, but once they got to know me they realized those were the qualities that made me a nice person, like i always defend the little guy, i have a strong sense of moral justice and I'm not afraid to be unabashedly myself. but then they realize no i AM scary, listen i have a lot of patience for people but when i think ur being problematic or ignorant i will call you out, friend or not and thats when i get scary.

Wow, talk about eye opening. All this time I thought the reason why I have a hard time making friends was because neurotypicals don’t understand ppl with autism. Although that could still be another reason too. I’m pretty used to ppl telling me I have an attitude when I genuinely don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. I just let it go, and try to do better in the future. I refuse to use my autism as an excuse for anything. I’m still responsible for my actions, and I will do my best

This description fits me very well. What I have learned with time, if people are intimidated by that stuff mentioned, you are surrounded by the wrong people. They will make you feel bad and question yourself just to validate their own insecurities. The other people on the other hand see your potential and make you grow and feel good and better with time. I didn't need to be alone that much any more when I met the right people, because their company actually felt great.

*I used to be very depressed and had anger issues. At school people was avoiding me. In some way I liked it, but I would have liked a friend at that time.* Now I always approach these kinds of people and I notice they really love it when people talk to them! So next time someone is looking sad or angry, just some small talk can make their day!

I just randomly watched the video and 10 out of 10 this is TOTALLY me. I always knew that I have quite harsh personality and many of my friends told me that I’m cold, too straightforward, etc. It never really bothered me because I knew that thanks to my personality I easily achieve my goals, can speak up and stand up for myself and don’t let emotions control me. I am so happy to watch this video and feel even more self-love. People who really understand the depth of my behavior and respect that in me take special place in my life. And others don’t really matter to me because I don’t have time and nerves for that 😊

I relate to this video a lot and I've found myself cutting off almost everyone in my group. Where I come from you get what you get and can't be fussy. But now we have all moved to a much bigger school and there are many other people. That doesn't mean I've found my people though yet. I still have trouble with finding my people but I know who I want. I want to do good in school and love learning new things. My ADD can have some backlash with that and I'm still learning to focus on myself instead of others in every way. Emotionally and physically. This channel has helped me learn what I need to work on and what kind of people I want and don't want. So I just wanna thank the people around me. My family for giving me advice based off of there own experience and supporting me as much as they can. And to my friends and enemies for showing me who I want and don't want. I have always told other people to not be scared of mistakes because how else are you going to learn but I've never done it myself. So now I'm doing what I can to make myself happy and if I make a mistake I just take my blame and then move on after solving the problem. So many things have started to look up for me and that is helping me a lot too. When with this personality type, you learn the hard way, people will either hate (dislike) you or they will love you. Hardly ever is it in the middle. That's a benefit and a curse all at the same time.

People at my school are afraid of me.. and well i like it that way but i still get lonely sometimes...😐 Edit: i used to have anger issues and i was very agressive torwards most people who pissed me off, so everyone started distancing themselves away from me and long-story-short now when i try to talk to my classmates they treat me “diffrently” then they used too, they would be scared of me and just ask “What do you want from me?” And then try to leave quickly, But that’s over now? This describes me almost exactly!!! I am a very quiet and thoughtful person that most people get the wrong impression of. Just last week, I CONFRONTED my general manager about her demeaning behaviour in front of other customers. She put up a hissy fit, but although I felt slightly nervous, I was actually able to get through to her. Nowadays, she barely yells at me or my coworkers, and when she does have to, she is more reasonable.

I feel recognised :') thank you this is very representative. A lot of people do come to me and ask me questions about schoolwork, and group members often tell me they're intimidated by me (which isn't something I wanted, and I was nice to everyone). I also am perfectly ok with being alone or working alone but I wouldn't be me today without all the past bullying and ostracisation from peers back in high school. I Guess they've helped shape a strong and intimidating personality!

My classmates are afraid of me, they always do what I say or they will not argue with me, my friends told me that I am really scary, If i told them something, it feels like they really need to do it. I dont have enemies, to be honest Im kind to all of them. It just like, they are really afraid of me. Geez... Most especially when Im in a good mood, I'll tell a joke and for Pete's sake they take it seriously! I wanted to make fun with them like they do to others but they act like that(my classmates) sometimes my friends, but my best friends knows me well, so I really love her.

ive been thro so much in the past that ive learned and grown emotionally from it. Ive learned to face them and be thro countless of hurtful pain and i had learn to manifest it as a positive outlook. Now my own quote i go by is Without pain, how can you grow as a person. Nobody said life was going to be easy and pretty. It can be and will be. Its all about mindset. I have practiced increasing my self awareness, observing people from a distance, having smaller circles, yet also have an outgoing personality. I have learned to decrease my dependencies so i dont fall into depression. I have gained self control of myself and still am increasing it. I have respect for myself. Instead of smoking weed everyday, i have reduced to just the weekends. Weekends are for my relaxation for myself. As for the weekdays, its grind time to get my grades up and also work after school. Keeping that constant big positive energy is easy for me since i rewired my brain to think positively and stay at that mindset. There will be tough days and i do have a bad habit of listening to my emotions. In which im practicing not to. Recognizing im listening to my emotions and stop and logically think about it. And it has worked! These past couple of days has been a lil depressing and filled me with alot lof anxiety because of my life issues. I was feeling down and with my adhd it makes it more sensitive so i was listening to my emotions. Then the next day i stopped and thought about it logically and was like there is nothing to worry about. There is a solution and its been made. Whatever happens, happens. And you kno im not the problem because they brought themselves into it. Being emotionally manipulated by your own mother extremely hurts but i have learned to move on because of her. Im glad i have a dad to have the option to stay with. He guides me in a much healthier way. He recognizes that I am growing and getting older. I am very very happy that I can live with him instead of my toxic mom that needs mental help. My dad is learning to be understanding with me. He is changing as a person. I love that. He has decreased his drinking habits which makes me extremely happy!!! Because i love him too much and i want him to live a long happy life filled with happiness and finds someone worth of value and helps him grow as a person. 💖
