Good job, lost 40 and have 30-35 left. I feel great and good on energy. I eat beef, eggs, ghee or beef tallow, bacon once in a while and Celtic sea salt/pink Himalayan salt and pepper. An emergency room doctor diagnosed my intense pain as having gall stones. He sent me to surgery within a few hours and it was removed. Despite it being very painful, I wish I had heard this talk about going on intermittent fasting and that it might take care of the problem. I would have been willing to try. This is the first time of hearing from anyone that fasting could possibly help resolve the issue. Good job ! Hope it helps someone else. By the way, even though I no longer have my gall bladder, I am carnivore and do not take supplements to aid in my digestion with the fats I eat. Very occasionally, I might get a day of loose stools but then, like you suggested, I just cut back on the extra butter, etc. No problem.

Great point. When I was a kid I was told that because I ate a large meal - regardless of what that contained - that's why I'm sleepy. Now, 35 years later I eat sometimes once per day (OMAD) or twice within a 4-5 hours window and I'm not sleepy at all in spite of the large meal, because it's mostly fat and protein and low carb from veggies (keto). I wish more people knew this -that high carbs are the reason for sleepiness, chronic fatigue, mood swings etc

About the floating stool: it can be also caused by high vegetable intake. That creates gases which can be trapped in the stool, causing it to float. If you're an a keto diet (so high fat) and you're consuming daily a good amount of vegetables, then it can be possible to have floating and even lighter coloured stool. As long as it's not associated with any abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramps and other issues there's nothing to worry about.

Good point! I am also someone who has floating stools despite eating low fat. I'm vegan (24 years now) and my ratio of macros is about 60 percent carbs, 30 protein and 10 fat. I have fruit only for breakfast (1 or 2 handful of berries, mostly apples, sometimes 1 mango or papaya), starches, legumes and leafy greens for lunch and vegetables with some fat at night. I often observe the floating when consuming green smoothies (workout meal) though I don't add any fat to my smoothies except for maybe a tablespoon of flax or chia. Thus, it doesn't make a lot of sense what the doctor said. My Hb1ac is totally in the normal range, my BMI is 20.6, my bodyfat below 25 %.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:42 🚫 *Eating too much fat does not directly cause weight gain; insulin resistance and high carbs play a role in fat storage.* 03:36 😴 *Feeling tired after eating is more related to overeating (Thanksgiving syndrome) than the type of fat consumed.* 05:55 💓 *Heart issues are not caused by healthy fats but can be influenced by poor-quality fats and insulin resistance from high carb consumption.* 08:10 🚽 *Gallbladder issues, like diarrhea and floating stool, can be signs of trouble breaking down fats if the gallbladder is not functioning properly.* 10:38 🤢 *Shoulder pain on the right side can indicate gallbladder problems, emphasizing the connection between gallbladder health and fat consumption.* 11:45 🔥 *Pain in the gallbladder area, often on the right side under the liver, may suggest congestion or sludge, potentially leading to gallbladder attacks.* 14:30 ⚖️ *Eating too much fat might hinder weight loss on a ketogenic diet if the body is primarily burning dietary fat instead of body fat. Adjusting fat intake is crucial for weight loss success.*

@youmatter3035 Whoooa! Hold on a minute! 😁 1. Eating too much fat does NOT cause weight gain. 2. It does NOT cause insulin resistance. It happens ONLY if you eat high carbs with high fat. 3. It does NOT cause being tired(it’s overeating and carbs that causes it.). 4. The heart is NOT affected by eating too much fat. It is HIGH CARBS with high fat. The organ that IS affected is the gall bladder. He said this at the very beginning of his video that the first 4 on the list are MYTHS then explains why. That is why it’s important to watch the full video. 😊🙏❤️👍🏼

As a teenager and young adult I had an eating disorder that was pretty severe. I was addicted to junk food; sugar and refined carbs in particular, and prone to binge eating. Listening to this is terrifying, because it clarifies the harm I could have done to my health if these binges continued through middle age and beyond. (I'm now in my 70s.) That I didn't end up obese and/or diabetic is a friggin' miracle.

@@dawnalawrence6584 -- I'm thin now... but at age 19 I was 55 pounds heavier than I am now. My weight yo-yo'd up & down by forty pounds. Had I not been blessed with an efficient metabolism, and had I not been physically active, I could well have wound up way heavier from my junk food addiction and binges. In the 1980s I had a friend who tipped the scales at over 400 pounds, and I swear to you, her binges were no worse than mine had been. It's like being a drug addict or an alcoholic. I would eat until my gut ached and was fit to burst... and STILL could not stop. It was beyond awful. I remember attending Overeaters Anonymous, listening to my fellow junk food addicts talk about their daily struggles. While they shared their experiences, I'd just sit there and cry. I've been a pot smoker for 56 years. I love pot, but the one thing I dislike about its effect is the "marijuana munchies". Even when stoned nowadays, my excess indulgences don't begin to hold a candle to those earlier binges. Yet I still suffer bouts of remorse and shame afterwards. I never buy junk food. We snack on nuts and dried fruits, primarily... or when we don't snack, my husband & I incorporate these things into regular meals. If I purchase anything else we might snack on, I'm careful to read the ingredients list on the container before I buy. I encourage you to try kicking the sugar habit, even if your weight is fine. Much of the harm you could be doing to yourself is internal and systemic, even if you are thin. Kicking this deadly habit will add years to your life, and life to your years.

@RandomHuTaoSimp
@RandomHuTaoSimp 8 месяцев назад
@@atrifle8364 it's a myth under the correct context. For example, CICO is touted as just being, "burn more than you consume". Which is said without context, or even better, calculate what you burn vs what you consume. If you consume 2500 calories, calculate BMR + activities to go over 2500 in a given day, but this is bad advice and in this context, CICO is a myth. We have to realize diets like carnivore is more hormone and homeostasis related so there is more to BMR + daily activity that counts toward total energy expenditure. This is why when bart kay consumed 6500 calories a day for 2 weeks despite not burning no where near this much on paper. It'd because hormones are a huge part plus all the processes the body undergoes in the context of very low carb. Then you also have protein being very thermogenic.

Thank you for adding to this video the information starting at 19:24, explaining the necessity of reducing the total amount of calories consumed after you have become fat adapted, in order to start burning the fat off the body. Reducing the amount of fat consumed is the mechanism for changing the percentage of Carb/Protein/Fat in the diet, You must end up reducing the total number of calories consumed in order to lose weight. This truth escaped me for many years because I was focusing on the benefits of eating more good fats.

Your videos are very useful. Over 12 years of diabetic I was on medicine prescribed by doctor. Every few years dosages were increased and my bathroom time increases. Any lab test doesn’t show my internal body problem. It’s only medicine side effects. Finally I started seen your number of videos on different topics about the hormones. When I started to change the life style, I m very fit physically and I already said goodbye for all the medicine. First when said to my doctor that I stop medicine he refused. But I myself followed you also using continuous glucose monitoring chip on body. My last lab test shows A1c is between 5 and 6 my doctor wast surprised and agreed to stay on the diet program. He don’t have to prescribe any medicine for diabetic for me. This is just like a miracle for me. I m from Republic of Maldives 🇲🇻thanks for your videos that I appreciate .

I believe that the worst thing to happen to the human diet is the deep-fried potato in any of its many forms. It's the perfect combination of fat and carbohydrate. Some people eat at least one form of fried potato nearly every day. Adding ketchup provides the sugar to make it even more of a nutritional disaster. I never touch french fries.

How much and how often did you take the lemon and olive oil?
@ronedee
@ronedee 8 месяцев назад
@@jimdrummer816 There are 3 methods online. #1. the 24hr. method, which isn't for the weak of stomach! You fast for 12 hours. no solid foods. Then lying on your right side, you drink 2 ozs. of olive oil followed by 1 oz of lemon juice every 15 minutes for 6 hours. Approximately 6 to 12 hours afterwards you will expell the gallstones in a bm or 2. Mosly liquid comes out and if you are adventurous you can stretch a cheese cloth across the bowl and catch the stones! I did. Very amazing! One was the size of a ping pong ball! They dissolved in a week, from the lemon that removed them. #2 is the week method; consists of eating one small salad 2-3 times a day with the same amounts of lemon juice & oil. During the week, you CANNOT eat any other foods. Just plain salads, consisting of greens. No fats or sugars, meat proteins or dairy included. #3 is the month method, also called the "maintenance" method; several green salads per week, 5-7 days with the same amounts of lemon and oil. The restrictions on foods would be fats and anything that attributes to gallbladder pain and discomfort. It's been a while (10 years) so you may want to do your research online to confirm the methods are correct or haven't changed? Also...very important: DO NOT atempt the 24hour cleanse if you are in severe GB pain and/or running a temperature! It means the GB is inflammed and you won't be able to expell the stones!! Seek medical attantion it will need to be removed!

Just go back to a “normal” diet? 🤔 2) In the same context: Is strict keto and/or carnivore good for the long term? Or should you switch it up sometimes? 2) Is it all the fats that are bad and cause gallbladder problems? Or is it only certain ones and in certain amounts? 3) What if you already developed right shoulder pain and right abdominal pain? What do you do then? Thank you so much for this video. In my opinion, #1 is all most people need to know. I used to think counting net carbs was the only thing you needed to do on Keto, but I realized that logic was flawed, you should monitor your caloric intake as well then if you plateau you can make adjustments. If you're not losing weight on Keto, you're eating too many calories. You need to either up your activity, lower the calories, or a combination of both. One more thing to include, be careful cutting your calories because if you're too aggressive thinking it will make you lose more, you risk slowing your metabolism down. Shoot for a 250-500 deficit till you're losing no more than 0.5% of body weight a week, and hold it there, making adjustments as time goes by.
