Thanks Simon. Just a heads up though ... As per comment from Prasun Jajodia, to reduce the size of your app bundle and speed up start time for debug builds, just use the --prod flag. Using --release on a version of an [Android] app means you will be unable to install it on your device unless you also sign the apk using jarsigner.

The --prod build actually also reduces the size of the app significantly, sometimes by 4 MB

Another great video Simon! I am curious about automating a few things. For example, my preferred editor is VS Code, with Hack #1 (removing scrollbar) is there a way within VS Code to use hotkeys to inject or dissect code on a particular page? Such as hitting CTRL+5 to add the code into the app.scss file and save it and maybe CTRL+6 to remove it. Thanks for the video! Looking forward to the next.

This is really great Thank you for this video. I have a request if you can show us how we can run an ionic app in the background even after the app is closed. It comes in handy for local and push notification services. Also if you can demonstrate how we can create tabs just like WhatsApp ie. The underline moves simultaneously when we drag the tab body horizontally.

For notifications, your app doesn't have to be in the background, they will come in anyway! And in general, the topic is really tricky and usually doesn't work very well on all platforms :/

Currently I am facing the same „safari-developer-tools closing instantly“ bug. In the last years the most of the time safari debugging worked well. I think the bug exists for a few weeks now. Might be a MacOS X/ Safari bug. Do you have any further information?

I get that same bug also. Like Simon said, usually restarting the device or computer works (sometimes). In the more recent versions of Safari, it seems more stable.
