Here is a sandbox like no other. Create massive battles with absolutely no limits. Want to see 10,000 chickens fight an army of Romans?? Sure, why not. Want to see a company of WW2 U.S soldiers fight 11,000 Medieval soldiers?? There are simply no limits to the carnage you can achieve in Epic Battle Simulator. Mess around with a massive variety of units. Everything from, Roman Centurions, Medieval soldiers, Knights, Orcs, Trolls, and yes, chickens! The main focus in this game is giving the player no restrictions to what he can do. That is why we decided not to limit the amount of units in battle. Want to see what a battle of 100,000 units looks like? We don't recommend going past 10,000 for most machines but its your CPU, do what you want! On top of that, you can play as any one of the units in the game, getting up close and personal to help change the tides of a massive battle!

The chances of the charge succeeding seemed to depend on the speed of the units in reaching the snipers, the number of the charging force, and their capacity to take fire and fire back; this is why the calvary won but initial foot soldiers lost. The zombies won, for example, because they run fast.

The snipers would alternate shots at the center of the advancing enemy and then the outside edge. This keeps a more systematic decimation happening and keeps the snipers from panicking or freezing up.

Is it my imagination or did the Giant Ogres start out WAY closer than everyone else to the snipers? And what were the snipers firing...muskets? That was some seriously slow rate of fire even for a 1940's K98

Wish they could have actually had 10 snipers vs 100 of every unit... By which I mean, 1 of each unit, but from 100 units, all at the same time, to see if they could have succeeded where 100 of a single unit failed.

The true sniper would NEVER take his shots offhand (standing)!!! Even WWII German Sniper's when deployed would be VERY difficult to see and would be on the high ground under cover and concealment, probably with a spotter armed with either an SMG or another rifle and grenades. The Era is important; pre-1943 German Sniper's usually utilized 98 Mausers (bolt actions, that were deadly accurate) with good optics; post 1943 German Snipers would probably have G43's Semi-Automatic 10 shot stripper clip fed box magazine scoped rifles which would do better in this scenario. Their Recon Teams would have set them up in a position running North to South or vice versa to minimize the Coriolis effect and they would be capable of accurate fire of up to a mile! They were a Superb Sniper Corp! The 7.92×57mm Mauser (8X57mm) rifles were powerful, unless you had well trained counter snipers (appropriately armed) or Tanks/Artillery, they would bring your movements to a Halt! Not only would you not get close, you wouldn't move or resupply. They wouldn't care if you deployed Greek Fire or not! They would keep you at distance and if shear numbers over whelmed them (and I'm talking thousands to one) melt!

Those archers would all be dead before they fired a shot. Many of those 50 cal. sniper rounds would pass through multiple people increasing casualty rates

That's not fair. Snipers would be pretty ineffective if the knights didn't start at range. Mate try again at shield wall range.... 30 yards Knight win.

@@jenniferrobinson4277 ill put it differently... Make the battle at a range more suited to the knights. Not the snipers. Say like 30 - 40 yards. Shield wall range, up close and personal. Where you can see your own reflection in their eyes.

Ok, let's look at this from a sniper's pov. He would deploy 1000 yards from his target and lie in camouflage. He would have 2 long firearms and a handgun, usually a 300 win magnum or similar bolt action, an ar15 with auto capability and a semi auto 10mm or 40 cal. Personally a 300 win mag would fell three or 4 at 1000 yards per discharge if used against a group. A group of people wearing tin armour and carrying a shield made of wood with a tin front would be as vulnerable as naked babies. They may be determined, but carrying all that weight 1000 yards in a charge would take its toll. I reckon I could dispose of say 200 soldiers deployed like that before they gave up. The snipers would also be deployed on a ridge 50 yards aparr. Peferably up a steep slope. If some "knights" managed to get close, a grenade or two would roll them. The reason warfare is so lopsided in places like Afghanistan is the enemy don't wear uniforms and the natives think of the soldiers as intruders, but we still can't shoot unless they are actively armed.

@@jenniferrobinson4277 yes and my point is, if the snipers started at medieval battle range they'd be wiped out. Guns, rifles and side arms included. Medieval warfare started at 100 yards tops.... Get me? Snipers would be dead. Simple.

True “sniper’s” would not be standing in a firing line, or in the middle of a battlefield. They’d find an elevated covered position, an be completely concealed. Subsequently the actual act of locating them would be time consuming. Additionally, since there are 10 of them they’d be located in various different places, not in one single spot. The premise of the experiment is flawed.

They wouldn’t carry enough ammo. And who’s leading the medieval army? Wouldn’t they flank the modern soldiers instead of trying to ride over dead horses?
