Anyone that works with homebrew electronics, soldering skills are the first thing you need to master. In my electronics class we spent the first ten days honing our skill before we even started on theory.
This was great timing, I have been searching the web for help as not soldered since I was at school and I am 62 now! Memory fades. Lol I must say you are a good and interesting teacher. Question: how strong should a soldered joint be? It’s not like welding or braising is it? Nor like a mortise joint in wood? What do you say teacher? Kindest Bon
When you solder the joints you should get nice and clean melted tin,and not to put a lot of tin. With practice you will get it. And most important is to buy high quality tin solder
I work at a circuit board factory soldering all the time. we don't have any fume extractors. thats a lil concerning lol I just blow the fumes away with my breath
