Great video and keep up the amazing work. I love watching. Alien game I tried to find a copy of that but due to the price its just insane. Ill have to make a pnp version I think. Ghosts I tried to buy but contacted the company and just just nowhere with no help so gave up. It does look great though.
Would love to get hold of a copy of Dawn of the Zeds but never in stock and hard to find on the second hand market. Really enjoy Excavation Earth, looking forward to getting into the new expansion
Great list, well done! Arkham Horror never worked for me, so I never bothered to look into Eldritch, but maybe I should. Had a ton of fun with the Paperback Adventures prototype, need to finally grab a copy of the published game. Have been very curious about Dungeon Degenerates for a while. Not sure what has kept me away. Flying Frog has always scared me off with their cosplay photo artwork, but maybe I shouldn’t let it. Have to say I know nearly nothing about Dawn of the Zeds, but seems like I should definitely look deeper. I really, really want to try Renegade, mostly just because of the Ricky Royal name on there. Feels like something I’m kind of required to try as a solo player. Crossing my fingers that the new version comes quickly and is just as good or better! There seems to be so much mixed thoughts on Excavation Earth. Every time I see it I’m extremely interested and then I end up reading/watching something fairly negative and it puts me off of it again. Guess I should really just bite the bullet and try it out. Especially since it sounds like the expansion makes it even better! Uprising is one that I only played once before passing it on. I did really enjoy my play of it and would be more than happy to play it any time, but the size and length of the game just meant it was one that wouldn’t see much play for me, so I decided to replace it with things that would get played more… Ghosts Betwixt is one that I kick myself for leaving on my shelf for so long. Dustin sent me a copy a long while back to give my opinions on and I never made it past the first scenario, simply because it is hard to fit longer games in to my schedule, but I had an amazing time with it and it is definitely one I need to finally push myself to play it through and put a video out for it, not only because I really enjoy it, but also because Dustin deserves the love and promotion to make sure more of this gets made!
Love the video! Eldritch Horror and Dawn of the Zeds are 2 of my most favourite games. Looks like I'll have to check out Excavation Earth and Uprising mode closely!
uprising curse of the last emperor really blew me away as well, loved it very much! :) still need to dig into dawn of the zeds, a shame how long it sits on my shelf of opportunity..
Burgle Bros, also by Fowers Games is another favorite solo game. I play it as two burglars. Gameplay is unique, I don’t know of any other game quite like BurgleBros except BurgleBros 2. Thanks for your list!
noticed you don't have everything for eldritch horror... you need to get the fancy dice, the normal, curse, and blessed dice... those are the best addon for the game...
@@NotBoredGaming I bought a double set of all of those dice, one set for Arkham Horror 2nd edition, and one set for Eldritch Horror... because taking them out of one box would be too difficult....
been playing the digital version of paperback adventures and i have to get myself a physical copy despite its less than ideal vacuum boards... great video mark Stay Hexy!
EH is also my favorite Arkham game. Finally got the last expansion I was missing, Masks, a couple of months ago. Several of these are on my list to try but you definitely provided a few new ones to consider. Great video!
Great list, always enjoy your content. Eldritch Horror is my favourite game, Dawn of the Zeds 3e is top 10, Fortune & Glory and Dungeon Degenerates both right up there too. I've now got a couple more to look into thanks to your video. Some others I really enjoy that you might too (if you haven't seen them already) are Darkest Night 2e, Resident Evil 3, Stardew Valley (this one surprised me) and Merchants & Marauders (great, simple to implement solo rules from BGG).
Not a bad list. My choice of Flying Frog solo play is "A Touch of Evil". I will see if I can try to find that Aliens game, as my best Alien theme game is Legendary Encounters Alien. That captures the theme best that I have seen, but never looked at the Aliens game you mentioned.
Thank you so much for this list; new subscriber here. Nice to have an alternative view to the typical recommendations. Still new to the hobby, so much appreciated!
I have sung the praises of that Leading Edge Aliens game for ages. That game really should get a remake with modern polish. It's a shame it doesn't get as much play as it really should. Fantastic little game.
An amazing list! In enjoy Renegade a lot and just ordered Paperback Adventures, anxious for that one! A couple others of your list are on mine now aswell. Damn you ;)!
Thrilled to see The Ghosts Betwixt mentioned here! I absolutely loved playing through it and I really hope Chapter 2 eventually becomes a reality. I had been in contact with Dustin while I was playing because I had a few questions and when I finished the game I sent him a note telling him Chapter 2 would be an insta-back for me if it went to KS. Such a great game and it's been almost completely overlooked.
Thx buddy for your support, so glad there’s an audience out there like you who “got” what we were going for. We took a big swing and I’m so happy it connected with those who we wanted to connect with!
