We are in a war, a spiritual battle that impacts all of us in a variety of ways. There are battles that are waging over nations, people groups, towns, churches and families. Then there are also battles you face in your daily life.
The battle wages over the thoughts and beliefs of our hearts. You can see it all around you, but you can certainly see it in your own life.
The spiritual battles that we face come down to thoughts and how we relate to thoughts and emotions in our life. But our application to our spiritual battles is often filled with superstition and striving that leads to nowhere.
In this broadcast, I reflected over the years as to what has been so helpful to my mental health when it comes to spiritual warfare. I pray these ten areas will encourage you but also ground you in your journey.

Hi mark just lost my son of 38 you were introduced to me by my brother and you helped me think differently and without your word I don’t think I would have been able to cope thru my faith I still have the what if’s but it’s ok there not as strong because of your words it helps us to understand it’s not us as parents it’s just their walk meaning my grandchildren lost their mother 2 months before they lost their father my son so thankful for you because I’m finding strength thru your words

Mark I really appreciate your teaching. I am a former preacher and I was in my 30s. I'm now 48 and just really starting to understand spiritual warfare. I really couldn't answer back then why I stopped. Since then I've been through many trials but I have all of your books and I'm learning how to not fear. That's his biggest weapon against me. Lack of confidence even though I'm very successful I never feel like I'm good enough or at any minute it will all be gone. Your teaching really helps. Oh btw I was a Church of Christ preacher so legalism affects me. I'm starting to enjoy the journey and really understanding that this life is over soon.

Thanks to the Lord my mental health is improving. The thing is I can discern everything in a literal second. I used to think it was social anxiety but I’m realizing that I can see & feel the demons operating in people. Trust me, I’m not crazy. I need advice on how to accept this. Someone please respond.

The spiritual warfare that happens in marriage is utterly insane. The ways Satan destroys marriage is unlike anything I've ever seen. The way the relationship can be hijacked and destroyed and beyond repair is so dangerous. I see myself as a guy who will never be something his wife genuinely loves. And when I talk to her about this, it goes absolutely nowhere other than anger and rejection from her.

@@smokingcrab2290 I'm praying for you that you seek first love and validation from within before seeking it in your wife. I don't know your relationship but I know that when you look for something outside of yourself and outside of God, it can spiral and be taken advantage of by the enemy. The journey to loving yourself will lead to a better outcome than for your wife to try and CONVINCE you that you are loved. The enemy may have a wall in you, where you won't allow that love in until you break that wall down from the inside ❤️❤️❤️

Love your channel. In the movie facing the giants he said you go either far left or far right and that's not what's going to get you home. Then I listened to you and how we can go to one extreme to the other. That was far left and far right. So thankful

Comes down to this, whatever you face it always come down to a chore list for you. Others do wrong things, get no punishment and the victim gets to do the work of fixing what they broke while others make excuses for your perpetrators. I've learned to handle things like this. I see a cop shot bleeding out in a ditch I tell him the perpetrator had problems, can't reverse time and it is his responsibility to do the work to get healed. He needs to stand up and walk to the hospital because he has to learn to be strong! Its a lesson! He needs to learn to forgive. Its amazing how if its wounds that aren't seen have a supposed different protocol than if they are physical. Not for me. I repent every life I've ever saved...

What doees it mean for Jesus to be All in All in my life? Honestly, I would have given up on my faith but I know Jesus has done for too much to save and make me like Jesus. How can I be more like Jesus? Is it as simple as acknowledging the Victory thats mine in Jesus! How did Jesus establish you and make you the minsiter you are today. I do not know how you stopped spriralling as much as you have. I have learned more from you in practical ways other than what I learned through Watchman Nee and Impact Ministries with Jim Richards and often on a substructural level and in that way Ed Miller and Bible Study Ministires has been such a great benefit to me in so many ways/ Who has so effected you and help you to be more like Jesus and that transformation that allows you to love your neighbor as yourself1 Honestly, what troubles me the most is the anger that sometimes that can so easiry rise up in Michael. I truly want to love with all that I am. Am I truly honest that I truly love God an love others.. Please share with me your thoughts. Thanks a million! Amen.

I appreciate the teachings shared in this video but as a clinical psychologist who works with adult survivors of childhood trauma I just want to offer that it is important for people - yes believers to realize there is often a need to seek professional help. If this were a video on heart disease or diabetes I’m sure there would be some acknowledgment of the fact that while we engage in faith practices involving healing one should also be under the care of a medical doctor…

@@AJOlalde I read "Victory Over the Darkness" several years ago. Didn't help or encourage me one bit. I just discovered that I suffer from religious scrupulosity and having just found Mark's podcast, I can't stop listening. THIS is what is helping me. I can relate to so much of what he says because he's walked through it. Neil Anderson cannot relate because he has never experienced it and says so in his book. The book I mentioned is nothing more than a type of self-deliverance kind of teaching and can leave a person worse off if they haven't been "delivered". Personally, I do not recommend his book(s).
