Fun video. I think the cropped trench is cute but will date quickly. Orange is a color that comes and goes but I think if you love it can wear it always.
I bought an orange purse this last fall & I absolutely love it! Orange is my favorite color though, so it makes sense for me to have an orange purse:) I painted my living room a very deep orange color last year & I honestly thought I’d get tired of it pretty quickly, but I haven’t. I still love it. My home is very boho, so again, the color makes sense for me. Great video, Anna. Thank you! 🧡🧡🧡
I haven’t seen any orange accessories out there yet, but if they hit the stores near me, I’ll be SO PLEASED! It’s my favourite colour, but not one I wear often… in clothing, I tend more toward yellow.
Hi Anna, I always watch your videos with great interest and I love your personality and the way you present new trends, in your video you said the big trend this summer is orange, I was watching another fashion blogger and she said the big trend color this summer is ice blue on bags, what do you think?
The sheer see-through skirts and dresses to me are just aesthetically ugly. It's not so much about baring so much flesh, it's just more that it's unattractive. If it looks bad on a model, it's gonna look atrocious on most people.
I hate the denim on denim trend, I feel like they try to bring this back every spring. I don't mind a denim matching set or full denim dress or jumpsuit though. The studded shoes could be cute. Polka dots are cute if they are small, the big ones are ugly and remind me of mini mouse.
I've been following you for a while now. Im in my 60s but want to keep current yet stay classic. You do such a vreat job putting things tigether. ❤ Loving pokadot dresses. I really hope i can find one. Also orange as a spring summer color but not overdone, one piece at a time like shoes or a bag. Love the look of vests with denim jeans or skirts.
I definitely think dressing up fashionably and walking with a coffee anything is essential to be on trend. It is considered a fashion staple and no well dressed woman would be without it! (Sarcasm intended lol).
Cropped trench? Or is it a jacket 🤔 Sheer should be a layer or an embellishment, not the garment unless it is a nightgown for your own bedroom. Then what ever works for you. Polka-dots and stripes are always classic when done well and will always be in style since they look right. Colour should be your own taste and never what some person who sits in a board room somewhere decides it will be this year. Trends are just whatever keeps consumers handing over their cash and then looking for something else since they have lost interest. Real style and fashion sense makes the wearer content and happy. It is personal!
A cropped trench looks unfinished, the idea of a belt in a cropped trench just looks out of proportion. But polka dots are ALWAYS a classic not really a trend. Just wear polka dots that are in proportion to your body frame, ie. height, weight. Giant polka dots on a tiny person just looks weird. I love the idea of denim shoes. And I love the Canadian tuxedo look, too with denim!! I LOVE the color orange!! Thanks for the micro trend video, Anna!
I knew I hung onto my polka dot sundress for a reason (your skirt is adorable, too) and it's orange! I absolutely love your channel and have really enjoyed your spring-themed videos.👗
Not into the cropped trench. Bomber jackets are better specially these days! I’m skipping g the denim on denim, but do have a denim jumpsuit that I love. I love the burgundy accents trend!
Really fun, thank you for the information. I just had my colors analyzed and was told orange was good for me. It is my least favorite color (along with black) so I definitely won't be jumping on the orange train. Polka dots are always fun!
I love your channel, and I think I have watched every one of your videos. Thanks so much for what you do, and you do it in such a fun way, and with a bit of humor too. I do love polkadots, always have.
Love the belted blazer, brings in the waist and shows off curves in a subtle look. And the short trench, I have one that is a belted cape. Awesome with slim leg pants or slim fitted skirt.
Will use my black sheer flower embroided skirt! It’s not sheer around the bum/butt area!!!😅 Looove polka dot! Will use my dresses with white dots: navy (low waist!) red wrap, dimgreen etc! 😍🐞 Orange is not my colour on clothes but will concider a small leather handbag to go with my orange canvas tote! 🍊💗🧡 Still not very warm here in south of Sweden, though we had a really lovely sunny warm weekend! 😊🌤🌱🌿🌷 Have a croped black coat with a belt that I’ll use this week coming! Bye from 🇸🇪
I have freckles. So I can't do polka dots - they clash! But stripes are great on me. I'm loving the pop of orange on some people, while personally I think yield-sign yellow is better with my complexion. You have to filter trends to fit YOU! Denim on denim can be cute too, if you cut it with neutral accessories. Happy spring Anna!
I didn’t even know these were micro trends but, I’ve bought several of these items just because I saw them on you tube and loved the style for my own collection (which is 30+ yrs). I feel you do need to stay true to yourself and when trends come around collect the options you love because designers are offering a broader selection. Thank you Anna for your insightful video
I have a black satteen fully constructed short cropped trench! Bought it 15 yrs ago to wear instead of a blazer for biz wardrobe... Never wore it - so NOW I will🎉
My cropped trench is my most worn jacket right now. It works with everything!! I wear it with work clothes, jeans and even a lot of my athleisure looks are elevated by it! On another note 11:26, this woman looks bizarre. Never. Show. Your. Undies.
Well, I absolutely LOVE a sleeveless dress with a fitted top and a wide skirt and have been searching high and low for this. Unfortunately, I hate smocking, as it makes me look like a whale! Plus I can't stand the way it feels and the impressions it leaves on the skin. Just, no. There is another, now ubiquitous, dress (Everyone has a version: Quince, Beyond Yoga, Athleta, etc.) that's also close but no dice. In order to save money, they skip the actual waistband (necessary for me), and just have a totally annoying skinny elastic going around the waist. I cannot stand the feeling of an elastic band squeezing my waist. Sigh. :( The search continues....
I just snapped up a pair of orange heels today. Not a color I normally wear, but they are super cute. I just had to. I got a one-shoulder print smocked top with poofy skirt dress that I'm really looking forward to wearing. The sheer skirts are totally ridiculous. Like, why bother even wearing it. They are not even the slight bit attractive.
Color Orange is huge where I live because it’s a college town. But I can’t pull it off at all 😢. Adore the denim top at the 5:08 mark. How cute is that!!!!
I think the idea is to create our own style so we don't look like we are trending. When I see a group of women who are all wearing similar items it does not seem that original. The short trench like others come and go. Mary Janes are back in all forms, Steve Madden has a chunky that is adorable. I have a Banana Republic belted blazer I wore in the 80s, still love it. EBay,ThredUP , thrifts and others have them. Please do what you can to reduce textile waste. What do you do with your clothing you no longer wear? Do you buy used?
I like all classic prints: dots, stripes, checks, plaids, etc. I also love Baroque prints, which are based on vegetal motives, but are so classic and elegant; I wish I could find more of them. I do like some floral/foliage prints, but they can be tricky, they date quickly, too. My favorites are those with white backgrounds and shades of one color, like blues or greens. Pretty much everything classic is trending now, which I adore. My personal style is finally back in style! I love that people are again dressing in a more polished and elegant way, I never stopped. Certain styles, looks, details, etc., become classic because they always look great and work for everyone. I hated the fashion of the first 20 years of this century, or millennium; novelty, overt sexiness and outrageousness seemed to be the only things that mattered to designers. But really, “there is nothing new under the sun”, I’ve seen it all in 50 years of styling. Classics Forever!
Orange is a tough one for me. I think it takes a certain person to pull it off… and I’m not sure who that person is 😂 That said, I do look forward to burgundy in the fall
Please show some fashions for long torso long legged ladies. I cannot wear those cropped styles I would look like I was wearing my ran daughters clothes.
Well blow me! I had gone out in a polka dot skirt before your video was published. With an apricot v-neck jumper in silk/cotton. It is quite summery in Sicily, and I have a bit of a tan
Two random things. 1. I love your eyebrows today. 2. The large metal circle studs on the belt remind me of the bottle cap seat belt-belts from the mid 2000s!
Great video Anna and I love the stripes and denim on denim. And thank you for the factor 75 discount I am going to have to check them out, I'm single and no kids but work 2 jobs and help with an elderly parent. And still don't have time for much.
I love the studded shoes and belts….well studded accessories in general. It reminds me of the Jeffrey Campbell loafers that used to be big. I still have my skulltini loafers. I am going to pull them out and wear them! Love the polka dot trend. I love denim too. I think a chambray shirt with a pair of white jeans is a classic look that can be worn with a modern twist.
I've just got a pair of shoes from River Island UK - pointed toe, kitten heel, slingback, two narrow diagonal straps across the foot, light blue denim trimmed with silver eyelets and diamanté studs. They are seriously cute.
The sheer skirts would look amazing on a tall woman. For Petite women, we need to be mindful of the dreaded "horizontal line" caused by the fabric as it transitions from opaque to sheer!
I have a sheer lace skirt that is a swim coverup. Think it came from cupshe. With a slip, it would be a fun 'real' skirt. But definitely needs something under it for normal wear LOL
You just crack me up nobody likes me when I’m hungry either Hangry is a real thing. I have to say I kind a like the orange pops but definitely the red and burgundy is more my style but I did really like the orange. Thanks for sharing.
I'm a polka dot girl myself ❤. My sister and I were discussing trying to find a color analysis service/person around here (although it does remind me of the movie Mermaids/the 90s haha) and she mentioned that people always compliment her when she wears orange....I was like whaaaat? You wear ORANGE? ew! 😂 I had written that color off as not for me, but maybe more people should give it a try, I don't know. Accessories might be a good place to start.
I really like watching your content. I do like the polka dots, stripes and denim as they are classic. Not so keen on orange, it’s just not my colour. Great video 🙂
Fun video today! I must be one of few who doesn’t ever want to wear polka dots and I’ve seen them come and go for 58 years 😂 Oh but give me a pinstripe blazer or suit 🤩 I thrifted a vintage Gap navy blue linen pinstripe blazer last year so it is definitely going to be worn this year
I am 67 and in all my years I have never, ever liked poka dots! I think it depends a lot on a person's personality. My younger sister who is the fun one loves poka dots. I have never liked horizontal strips especially on a shirt or top. I think it is because of my bust size. Smaller busted women look much nicer in them. Also, I never feel good with high necks for the same reason. V necks or scoop is more suitable on me. Because I am also short, I do not feel good in big prints or big anything for that matter. It overwhelms my petite shape. Vertical stripes would not look as bad, but I still don't own one. 😉. I am not a trend setter, but still try to dress classy and current. Love you and I will still be watching your videos. Have a great Sunday!
I'm with you on the cropped trench coat. I have seen some really cute ones, and they are functional. At first I was also like, "What the...?" but have come around to wanting one.
I'm on the fence about orange. It's really a great color on me, and I"ve found a dress that would really look great on me, but I don't want to invest in orange when next year it may not be as in trend for spring or summer. After watching your video, I think I'll keep looking. Thanks for the input Anna.
