I have a sneaky tip for those larger stamps. I use a big rectangular quilting ruler as a block. Can fit my larger background and long sentiment stamps.
I really like your personality but I love all the things you show us with using the things we already have.Love all the tricks you show us. Thanks so much. Helen
You are absolutely the best-so knowledgeable, experienced, helpful, inspired, happy. You are a gift to all crafters. Thanks for all your tips and projects. Kathy
I love to watch this segment. I always learn something. today I learned about the stencil to make sure you get the right size and shape of die for your sentiment. All of the tips are great, but that one I'll definitely use a lot! thanks for sharing!
Thank you Connie love all your tips, I keep them close by when crafting n it makes a HUGE difference, being that I'm very new at this, always learning something new from your videos , love them
I just want to thank you for how you take the time to demonstrate all these tips with such passion and complete understanding!!! Love all these tips!!!♥️♥️♥️
Lots of great tips in this video, Connie!! Thanks so much!!! Just a little tip for practice paper...I use scrap paper or junk mail that is plain on the back for my practice paper. If I want to make a change in the construction of a card, I sometimes use junk paper to construct my card to see just how it is going to go together!
Thank you Connie for another very informative video. I love watching your hacks, it has definitely made me a better card maker. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
Thank you so much Connie for all your hard work in putting all your fabulous tips together, it’s much appreciated by us all! Can I add a little tip? The stamping platform is brilliant for mass production, eg Thank you cards, Wedding invitations, etc, when you need to stamp the same thing 50-odd times, so that everything is as near identical as you can get. You can also re-stamp, as you demonstrated, so a huge time saver when that one doesn’t stamp quite right first time. Xx
I don't know how I made anything look good before I found your Tuesday Tip videos. I continue to learn wonderful tips from you after many years of stamping experience.
Love your hacks. Blob stamps love it. Oh and Puffins and Penguins are a different species of birds. But I knew what you were saying. I love all your videos!!
I love the tip about aligning text. It gives me fits trying to line things up! Unrelated to today's post, I have a question. When my phone updated (my only access to internet) it obliterated several of my favorite apps. One app was to an online interactive link of Stampin Up colors that provided groups of compatible color combinations based on the color choice the user clicked on. I think you shared this recently, but it could have been in an older pin I saved. I have looked through my pins and can't find the link anywhere! Would you kindly share that link again, so I can put it back on my phone. Thank you so much!
Thank u Connie. Awesome tips. I think I've decided 2 make a notebook 2 put your hacks into, that is if it is ok with u? U come up with loads of awesome tips. Have an awesome blessed day.
Connie, I am delighted to have found you on utube. I'm from Northern Ireland. I had given up stamping because I just couldn't get anything right. Is it true that stamps need conditioned before first use? They never seem to stamp clearly. Glynis
Glynis, I always ink my new stamps up and stamp on copy paper or other scrap paper. It does seem to make a difference. And using quality paper makes a huge difference as well.
Thanks for a very helpful video! I especially liked the tips on lining up stamps to get them straight. I've been stamping for about 10 years. Due to MS I'm in a wheelchair & have to stamp while sitting down. Any tips?
If you have not used a stamping platform you may want to try one. I have found them to be a super helpful tool to get things in the right position and I can restamp in exactly the right spot again if needed. Also works terrific for doing multiples, and gives me a nice corner to align layers in for my card fronts, my hands tend to be a bit shaky so this has been a game changer. And it isn’t necessary to buy the really expensive ones, just one that fits your needs! -- I don’t have any experience with the SU one, so can’t speak to it, but I am sure others can. Happy Creating!🌸🧑🏼🎨🦋
We have a tray we used to give the kids food when they were sick in bed. It’s got a leg on the 2 sides that fold up/down. Would something like that work?
These 10 Stampin Up hacks in this video are great helpful, even though I’m still learning how to properly use my stamps and come to think🤔of it a Papercraft expert gave me a rubber mat and wonder I can still use my stamping my images or not?
I always learn something new from your tips. Thanks for sharing. I was wondering if you have done tips on cleaning stamps and storing both stamps and dies. Ways to quickly find dies and find the perfect one. I guess it goes with just knowing what supplies you have. Maybe not have more than you can remember? Ha! 🤣. Missed seeing your pretty turquoise band too. 😊
Great tips, Connie! I'm so glad you talked about the stampin pierce mat. My local demo never uses it and I see frustration in her classes from bad stamp contact. I always carry one in my bag when I go to her classes and share it. You are so right about the basic white cardstock being the best out there. In the past when I've had to make cards in bulk for an event or charity I've tried to cut corners with a store brand cardstock and end up throwing it out. SU white and vanilla work perfectly every time. Great for alcohol coloring, all types of ink, embossing, etc. I never go back to anything else.
Wants do you do if the sticky from the back of the rubber stamp is gone?I bought a retired set for cancer survivor cards off eBay and the sticky part on the back if almost gone. Please let me know and thank you for all the great advice, beautiful cards, and happiness and energy you bring to your videos
Another great tutorial Tuesday Tip. Cutting the rubber is a great one Ty. Placing the outline of the rubber stamps also a great tip. Please address placing layers correctly on your card place. Even on all sides.
So helpful. I scored hundreds and hundreds of stampin up stamps from an estate sale for $40😮 What was it you wiped the stamp off with? I’d like to buy one
Hi Connie! I love your top 10 stamping tips! I will definately be printing out your sheet of tips so I can keep them handy! I think my favorite tip is the one taking your die and going through the catalog to see what sentiments fit inside, but I love all your tips!
Oh my! Hack #2 for sure! I began learning to make cards about 2 years ago and had thought I was clever using up paper I had left from years of scrapping. My take away even before Connie’s tip: USE QUALITY PAPER! StampinUp paper is awesome!
Connie, this was for me, the entire vid! I learned so much to remedy my problems. Thank you. As a bonus, I didn’t even see that adorable tree set - now going to add that to my collection. You are a dear.
I was just about to say exactly the same thing!! I just learnt more in 30 minutes than I have from anywhere/anyone since I started trying to make cards again- after a 20 year break!! So grateful to find a demonstrator who truly cares 🥰💕💕
Fantastic helpful tips. I have and use the Stamparatus with the foam underneath a sheet of gridline paper cut to size when stamping. It's a lot easier for me.
Straight sentiments with rubber stamps assumes that you were able to get the sticky image onto the rubber stamp straight to begin with. I have many sentiments that are OFF on the rubber and I have so much trouble getting them straight on my card. 😞
