Im a fat guy in college, I've spent nearly the last 5 years wearing the same stuff. A t-shirt, hidden by a hoodie and some jogging bottoms (ususally all black, except for the hoodie). Today I wore a red t-shirt, flannel shirt (opened), some black trousers and a waterproof flat cap... The confidence boost that changing up my style brought was immense, I've ridden a positive high all day long and I'm so glad I'm starting to give a damn about how I look, rather than trying to hide my body under a hoodie 24/7. Going into my sophomore year soon and this year I’m going to be more confident, I’m a skinny dude so freshmen year I only wore joggers, but now I’m gonna be rocking them shorts and I don’t care who judges 💪 😤 Edit: I switched to shorts and no one really cared, I’ve gotten compliments, no hate, and I’m proud, starting to appreciate the way I look more, thanks guys
Enterning in 18 days to highschool, but here where I live it starts at Sophmore, everyone here has the same basic outfits, I want to have good outfits and a good style, your channel is helping me alot
Great video young man (I'm legally required to say that as I'm a 45yo Dad). I wish the interwebs existed when I was entering HS, it may have helped me find some semblance of fashion...of myself, before I was 25. But, alas, HS was a baron wasteland for me, no girls, no nothing...well, I had nothing, but nothing beyond the nothing. I just now laced up my first pair of 1's, so now I'm likely the most fashionable dad in America...I know Europe's dad's are on another level, so I'll only claim America...& America's all that matters anyhow. To this day, I'm an incredibly boring dresser, though if you call me on it I'll say that my style is simply timeless....but no, it's simply boring. But no longer, now I'm a boring dad with Metallic Purples, & you better believe I've got them bow-tied, I don't see how you kids walk around in untied shoes...& for the love of all that is righteous in this world, pull your damn pants up & take that hat off, you're indoors!!

thx for talking about your struggles with other peoples opinions. A lot of people say "why do you care" and "well I dont give a shit what other people think" but it doesn't change anything you need to learn to be comfortable and change your mindset.
So I took an intro to biz class in person at a community college this summer, I didn't realize it but being around adults and working together in groups the whole class took away all of my imposter syndrome from being in high school. 10/10 wasn't that hard of class and lots of confidence

I’m going into freshman year on Tuesday, but my family doesn’t have much money. I got some new shoes today, and like five shirts (my mom won’t let me get my own job so I can’t go out and buy) some new plain shirts, and other than that I got a bunch of old clothes: pair of Jeans that are tight-ish fit a pair of cargo shorts loose fit, a pair of sweatpants, shorts of diff color, a bunch of graphic tees (mainly Star Wars), two leather jackets one more formal, and one biker. I got a black hoodie and blue zip up jacket, do any of you have any good first day fits?
I feel u with the confidence thing so like imma tomboy so I don’t wear girly clothes most of my clothes are just Nike athletic clothes that make me look like I’m going to the gym every day so now I want to step up my fashion by using some of these tips but I’m scared people will judge me for not dressing girly
You definitely shouldn’t trip if people judge you or not but I do understand the feeling. Eventually you won’t care but for now, build your confidence little by little by wearing a different type of piece every week, for example chain one week, new shoes the next, etc
Most common mistake I made in HS was spending too much of my money on clothes….if I didn’t buy even half of my clothes I would have had money for a nice car before my JR year but I fumbled don’t make this mistake…save/invest at least 50% of each pay check

You're so right on focusing on a certain collection, at first I mainly built up my shoe collection and now I'm to the point where I have so many that I don't buy as much as I used to. So now I've been getting more tops like sweatshirts and basic Ts cuz thats what I've really been lacking. Also your honestly so right brands don't really matter all that much, Now I will say I do like anything made by Champion bc I just prefer their stuff and its not crazy expensive if you know where to shop, places like Ross and Marshalls are the go to if you wanna find a champion hoodie or sweatshirt for $20 instead of $40-50. Love the videos man keep em comin.
Im not sure what to do. Im a freshman in highschool and wear sweatpants with a shirt under a hoodie everyday and i dont know where to start when buying new clothes or whats trendy and im scared im going to buy stuff then grow out of them soon after like $100+ shoes

I wish it wasn't impossible to buy good clothes in New Zealand lol. Only shop with t shirts that have a good fit for me are a shop called AS colour. All other t shirts are too short, and the range we have is tiny
My casual wear is Baggy pants and a baggy long shirt and my formal clothes are fitted or skinny jeans with a button up and my summer fit would just be a short sleeve with a Vans shorts

Anyone in high school right now, don't try to seek validation. Don't overthink about your style. Spend more time at the gym rather than learning about fashion because having muscles and good body will make you look good in all clothes. At the end of the day, enjoy what you like to do but also step out of your comfort zone.
