A few favorites: Hiram Green Hyde, PDM Kalan, Orto Parisi Terroni, Boccanera and Bergamask, Memo African Leather, and a killer aquatic called Mancera Wave Musk.
I would like to add Cuoium from Orto Parisi. Released last year. It is a very dark and smoky leather fragrance. Slightly animalic too. Extremely masculine in my opinion. I recently finished off my first bottle. I need a new one!
I am glad that you have put it Frederic Malle Monsieur in this list. I have it, and I also have Masque Milano Montecristo and Jul et Mad Paris Garuda, as all 3 of them are in the same genre. Probably, Garuda is the most powerful in projection and longevity, as it is extract de parfum.
I've smelled Portrayal Man, Private Label and Lonestar Memories, I agree they're very strong and masculine. Bois Mysterieux is so good but so strange. I would have added Jovoy's L'Art De La Guerre, Histoires Des Parfum's 1740 Marquis De Sade and Liquid Imaginaire's Buveur De Vent to this list as well. Monster fragrances.
Got my bottle of nilufer today ! Beautiful presentation and beautiful bottle. Thank you for sharing all these treasures with us! Can’t wait for the 3rd scent kit ! Have a safe trip 👋🙏
My girlfriend works on a Guerlain counter at a department store. Bois Mysterieux has been discontinued, still many of bottles about but no more will be made after. I got the heads up because it's one of my favourites. In the store the Orients all came in with a newer packaging but Bois was not among them.
Hi Sebastian. Is the jasmine very prominent in "Bois Mysterieux"? I'm interested in getting a bottle of "Bois Mysterieux", but I've also been realizing that I'm not fond of jasmine in fragrances so I'm not sure if I should get it. I know that ideally I'd sample it first, but it doesn't seem to be that convenient right now. I might pass on it, but I don't want to miss out if it's something I'd like.
Great Video. Based on my personal collection i would add Orto Paresi - Terroni, Nasomato - Duro, Franchesca Bianchi - Etruscan Water and LengLing - Figolo.
El by Arquiste is another retro 70's inspired powerhouse macho man fragrance. I get great projection and longevity off my skin, but it is definitely more on the mature side.
Great list and I enjoyed it and I like Andy Tauer Lonestar Memories and Tiziana Terenzi Laudano Nero and Mancera Red Tobacco and I'm going to try the other fragrances and have a blessed day
I have Parfums de Nicolai New York Intense and I like it (but I think Creed Bois du Portugal is better). Most of these frags covered I do not have, but I always go to my Ralph Lauren Polo as a strong masculine frag. Not niche but niche-level easily. Classic masterpiece.
Hi Sebastian, if I’m correct Laudano stands for Laudanum = Opium tincture, so Laudano Nero would then translate into Black Laudanum (Opium), which actually makes a lot of sense.
To be honest New York Intense reminds me much more of Aramis. I think Black Gemstone and Flacon Leather fit perfect into this list. EDIT: Duro and Bowmaker could be mentioned as well
Thank you, Sebastian; this was a fabulous video. Private Label sounds yummy to me. Love Jovoy. (But Route de Vetiver sounds great too. Choices, choices.) For super strong, long-lasting male fragrances, I like Masque Milano's Hemingway (4 Vetiver bomb), and Montecristo (Tobacco Heaven).
I really love Lonestar Memories. I love Monsieur too. Great video!! P.D. For me is better Cuir Intense that Bois Misterieux, my BM (decant) smell to me too much artificial...
Most of his scent reviews/suggestions are mainly for the mature male. He covers some of the main popular niche fragrances, but most are the vintage male fragrances that none of the women are reviewing here on RU-vid.
Awesome video with great choices , I love MANCERA'S RED TOBACCO !!!!!! But I am very intrigued by Tauer & Javoy as well as Fredric Malle .. Dark & Masculine like I love . Thanks Brutha - Cheers 😎PS. I really would have loved to know your favorite in this list !! Also I meant to add I found a nice Masculine one from Pernoire called Masar , dark and Oudy !
Great list as alway, thank you Mr Perfume Guy👍 by the way I think Pandolfo by V canto tick the boxes too Got red tobacco & laudano Nero from this list and yes they're so masculine
I really need to try MAITRE PARFUMEUR ET GANTIER ROUTE DE VETIVER sounds fantastic, love GUERLAIN BOIS MYSTERIEUX bought it after watching your review it's really good! I will add Amouage Interlude and Overture also Mamba from SHL. Great list, thank you Sebastian!!!
Monsieur is amazing, I need to get a bottle before its discontinued (not saying it will be, but it feels like everything good i like gets the chop). Definitely the manliest dirtiest Patchouli i've ever smelt.
I was able to save a lot of money during the pandemic 2020-2021 due to less shopping but ever since ive discovered your you tube.My savings dwindled😭🙈😂Lord have mercy🙏🏽
Wore Private Label to work on a 60 degree day and I happen to over spray it and a woman said “eww, someone smells like an old man” 😑🤣 Less is more with that fragrance!
To my nose I'd say Interlude would belong much more to the Super Strong category compared to Portrayal Man (which is no slouch though, and a great smell as well)
Personally everyone says Interlude Man is super strong but something about it has changed since the first time I wore it and it wears thin on me so that is why i leave off Interlude Man in a lot of my super strong or beast mode video. I don't get intensity from it anymore. But it's not the same story with Interlude 53 though I find that super strong but I made the decision to leave off I53 because of the price point! :)
@@ThePerfumeGuy A question remains whether Interlude is the only culprit of that change, maybe your own skin chemistry (and/or environment) also has somewhat changed since time of first wears, so that it no longer works the same way on your skin? Does not mean it wouldn't be still super strong on paper, or other people's skin
@@ThePerfumeGuy I'd compare the drydown on paper or cotton side by side with Potrayal Man to see if Portrayal Man is perceived stronger there. Of course reformulations are always a possibiity, sadly
There is no Musc and Amber in Monsieur. Reference: FM website! Vanilla is almost not existent and that is why he also does not mention vanilla in the notes. Why everybody references Fragrantica?
oman luxury serenity and oud aquilaria....electimuss capua and octavian...HDP 1740....Amouage /myths man... all monster staying power and to me outstanding frags.
Please don't mention ordering fragrances from Harrods. I ordered a bottle of Rojas Enigma and opened the package and took out the fragrance box and opened it to find no bottle! There were metal bolts wrapped in duct tape and plastic wrapping paper. The DHL box was sealed. Which means and Harrod employee made the switch. Buyer beware!
@@ThePerfumeGuy you are lucky. This was my first and only purchase from them. I'm new to fragrances and have bought 20 plus bottles from various online retailers in the past 4 months with no issues. $10k spent already and now this $300 bottle is stolen in their warehouse. Hopefully their customer service makes things right. Unfortunately they have horrible reviews on their lack of customer service. Wish I would have done my research before thus purchase.
Nishane Hacivat, Oud Satin Mood extrait by MFK, K'bridge club by Xerjoff and Arrakis by Tiziana Terenzi. these are pretty strong for me as a male fragrance perfume.
Being that my Zodiac is Cancer "super masculine" fragrances simply don't suite my personality. Women are not typically fond of the ultra masculine fragrances. Honestly I see these fragrances as a ego boost and mood creator for a male, which Is logical.
