Hi I do really like your show when you buy and sell cars especially the older interesting ones but you do seem recently go to a lot of auctions and say what you could buy for x amount of money I am sure a lot of people like that but it just doesn't seem the same as you going buying cars bringing them back and sorting out with a lot of good humour hope it's all going well for you in the sun 😎

I’ll bet there will be a fair number of $10,000 and under cars at Barrett-Jackson. All of the non-“elite” cars are “no reserve.”

7:35 1999-2000 M Roadsters and M Coupes had the same engine as the USDM 1996-1999 E36 M3. 3.2L 240 HP engine. The 2001-2002 M Roadsters and M Coupes came with the E46 M3 333 (rated 315 for thrse cars) and came with a 5-spd trans instead of the E46 M3 6-spd transmission. I believe it was to sace on production costs. I assume your son was filming? 😂

What makes that car worth anything? It has a rear hatch that pops up no other Corvette. Data, you had to get a collector series horror 79 pace car. Those are the only ones that you had the option for the gloss to pop

Mecum fees are a bit lofty. So a budget minded buyer would not be willing to pay it.

Mecum doesn’t put prices on sold cars unless they went to the bid goes on first you can get a little better deal at the bid goes on they have the power to cut fees for buyer abd seller , for example if the seller on the $2k eclipse wanted to clear 3k you might offer 4k all In meaning including buy fee and they might still net the buyer 3 , on the block you would have to bid 4 ( plus 1000) to clear them 3

so if they are not selling, does that mean the buyers are not willing to pay what the cars are worth, or are the sellers asking to much?

No question, the market is soft right now. Most buyers are dealers and they only buy at wholesale. Believe the high cost of vehicle repairs, parts are a big part of declining prices. In addition; younger generations have no desire to work on cars. The cars that bring any kinda money are those with low, low miles, in pristine condition. My humble opinion.

Most cars at mecum auctions don't sell on the block, maybe some later, the problem with reserves. A car is only worth what someone is willing to pay, thus a lot of sellers thinking their cars are worth more than they really are.

@9:55... Not '97. 1998 was the 4th gen refresh. I had a '97 WS6 stick shift slick top. Wish I had never sold it. Of the 100+ cars I've owned, it's the one I regret selling. Been looking for another, but clean WS6 manuals are going for $25k+ and I can't even find a slick top. @11:45... It's Mecum. Everything is overvalued there.

Buyer beware at the auction! You can buy a nicely polished turd.

Add all the extra auction fees etc and explain to the People watching and also explain about guarantees etc and risks involved. I cant understand that you are not worried about the cars at their auction off as to where they come from but you have send cars there yourself cars can come from anywhere it is an auction. I wonder how many cars you sold and gave miss information about it as alot of times in the vids you think and hope. I cant believe that you have to walk up to every car and first read the description on the sticker.

I don't understand why your making these EDUCATIONAL videos. Your the one that just lost his butt on a bunch of cars that you said they were good buys when you purchased them. I know you think there's alot of people that want to start a used car dealership but I really don't think so. But all these so called smart things your talking about isn't what you did. Now I'll give you some advise, if you want to buy cars and sell them for a profit STOP going to auctions! Your in Florida start looking for private individuals that are trying to sell their cars, Drive through shopping centers or anywhere people gather and look for cars with FOR SALE signs in the window. Check estate sales and anywhere private citizens advertise their cars for sale. Many people don't like car dealerships and would rather sell the car themselves. You know what to look for and what problems certain cars have and how to fix them. You know how to detail a car and make it look like new. You know what you need to do but you don't want to take the time to do the things you need to do. It's easy to go to a auction and find cars that have all kinds of eye candy. You pay to much then you pay auction fees on top of it. You get in back to your dealership and it rains and the car doesn't look good anymore and you find all the mechanical problems that were covered up. CRAIG, I really do like you and have enjoyed your videos up to the time you decided you couldn't take it anymore. You know what to buy that you can sell and make money and you have proven that high end foreign cars are great for YOU to enjoy but not to resale.

If it wasn't for the high auction fees, I might consider buying from an auction company.

How can you not know what you’re doing at this point? Neither of the Chevy trucks you mentioned sold as you said, the sticker clearly says the bid goes on! That means that you have no idea what the seller will actually take for either of those green trucks. Also, trucks are trucks, it’s ridiculous to call them a car. You clean to be a professional, make it happen.
