I am an Aussie and my partner is Latvian, though she grew up here in Australia. I'm learning Latvian to surprise her and her mother, an amazing culture.
The girl in thumbnail is not typical latvian woman and i don't know why, but it is bothering me. 😅 Yes, some of women look like that, but typical latvian girls have blonde or light brown hair (called "latvian grey"), blue or grey eyes and lighter skin. That would be more suiting. 😊
Dave, you mentioned in your first video that there is problem of illegal logging in Latvia which is not true. Seems like you have corrected this now in this video (part two) when you say that the forestry is very well regulated. There is however problems with shadow economy index which is quite high but definately nothing of that kind regarding illegal logging. Other than that your videos are very cool :)
I would like to visit Latvia and other baltic states ass well next if corona let me do that. I love forests and also tall woman. I currently live in the Netherlands and except the Veluwe and the region called Achterhoek there is'nt that much nature left. We also have a huge housing shortage due to overpopulation, overregulation by the government and mass immigration from 'refugees' who get the andvantage from the government. I would realy like to experience Latvia to decide if I may want to move to this country. I have heard of the economic situation there but that does'nt bother me that much because I want to go living off grid and live with and from nature. I have tried to do this in my own country but it's overregulated that I'm not able to do this legally. Since I love strong and tall woman I also do not have that much options elsewhere.
You can easily buy lands for 20,000 ㎡ for same numeric value in Euro. Forgot tall woman, that's urban rumour. I knew people from Overijssel and lived in Lielvārde (some 50km southeast of Riga along Daugava river). Can live there, but in rural area, replenishment will be difficult and expensive.
About that forest laws my city posted a flipping articale about that a guy cut down a tree like 22cm when you are only alowed to cut downt max 20cm they fined him but they had to post it online
@@mr.excelsior3464 What you may think of about Netherlands (assume you never lived there)? Windmill surrounded by Tulip flowers, right? it is true in April & May. Why there is a windmill? -> strong wind, right... try stand coast on January & February
