Well golly gee wiz he's got 208,000 subscriber's and trust me that's nothing to sneeze 🤧 at!!! But I agree he could absolutely use more as well as the rest of the RU-vid channel creators!!! But again survival preparedness video's apparently just aren't as popular as they most certainly should be!!! I'm fighting the same war!!! We're here hoping and praying 🙏🤞🍀💜 this channel gets the proper recognition it most certainly deserves because trust me that cup of water 💧💦 could absolutely save a person's life 🧬!!!! And Howdy Howdy from DeadHorse Alaska, Alvin Texas and Maine my precious highly intelligent woodsman you're a genius!!!!🥰🤠🥰🧸🦣🐻

Brilliant stuff. Have been bushcrafting since a decade now, but some of these I've never thought of. Good learning.

The tree where you did the water tap. Was that a white birch? Will that technique work with other trees? And you drank it right from the tree. No need to boil? Cattails with charcoal. Brilliant. Thanks.
@LastBushSurvival
@LastBushSurvival 2 месяца назад
Yep, that was a white birch! You can tap various types of trees to obtain drinkable sap, but the most common ones include maple trees and birch trees. And yes, you can drink it straight from the tree, no boiling needed! Glad you found the cattails with charcoal tip useful. Happy exploring!

White birch contains acetylsalicylic acid. If you have an aspirin sensitivity, birch sap can kill you. It's the original aspirin component.

You did well brother. Ignore the tree huggers, I do. Survival is key. Tips are necessary. Man! That looked like quail eggs. A company here pickles those things. A little pricey but are tasty. Bet the fresh one are awesome. Thanks mate' 👍

Thanks a bunch! Survival definitely comes first. Glad you appreciate the tips. You’re spot on! Those were indeed quail eggs. Pickled quail eggs can be a bit of a luxury, but oh so tasty! Fresh ones are a real treat. Happy to share, mate! Let’s keep thriving out there!

Wouldnt those eggs most likely be their offspring if it was in the wild? I know they lay eggs regardless but wasnt sure how likely itd be just an egg inside rather than the bird

Tree hugger here. Was pleased to see you patch the bark wound after harvesting the sap. Also, I noted that you didn't harvest all the quail eggs. The best survivalists/woodsmen are tree huggers. They understand the wisdom of preserving resources. Don't let idiots start fights where there should be none. We all want the same thing - preservation of our wild places.

Yep, I totally agree mate, viewers must remember that it is clearly aimed at survival skills, ie about showing folk ways to 'NOT DIE'..! (Which will obviously include easy ways to get high quality food! (I did appreciate that, when taking the eggs, he made a point of leaving some of the eggs behind and being very careful, very gentle with the remaining eggs & also with the nest in general...teaching us to always respect the animals & the whole environment.

Badass bro. I've been bushcrafting for about 5 years now, that cutting glass tip is priceless. As well as getting water out of the birch trees. I've seen it before, but your style was much more understandable. Thank you and stay safe out there 🙏🇺🇲🙏🇺🇲.

The spike in the tree for water is a good tip, but which side should we tap, N,S,E or West... Then I would not seal with the gum and lighter. The lighter fuel is more valuable starting additional fires at least another 5
@LastBushSurvival
@LastBushSurvival 2 месяца назад
When tapping a birch tree, you have the option to tap on either the southern or southeastern side to maximize sap flow due to increased sunlight and warmth. However, tapping on the northern side can also be effective as sap tends to decay less in cooler temperatures. The choice depends on your priorities: tapping on the south for more sap yield or tapping on the north for potentially slower sap decay.

What was the tapping hole sealed with please . Is that to stop rot and disease setting in . Or to reuse hole, or both
@LastBushSurvival
@LastBushSurvival 2 месяца назад
It is Pine resin, it acts as a natural sealant and protects the wound from pathogens and environmental stressors. While also providing a barrier against water loss and further damage. Additionally, the antimicrobial properties of pine resin can help inhibit the growth of harmful microorganisms that could otherwise cause decay or disease in the tree.

Balut is a partially developed bird embryo (usually from a duck) that's incubated for 14 to 21 days before it's boiled or steamed and eaten. Perfectly safe to eat.
