While picking up Mario games don't forget about Mario 3D world. You can wear a cat suit, climb things like one and slide around see-through pipes. Also, the stages are adorable, super creative and just lots of fun to play solo or preferably with friends in the same room. Highly recommend. Good backlog list, so many great titles. Cheers.
I LOVE the Pikmin series! I've been a fan since GameCube days. And if you wanna get into the Mario series, you should play at least Super Mario Bros 1 and 3 as well as Super Mario World. All of them are playable through the Switch subscription service. The Super Mario 3D All Stars is a great collection that shows you the history of the 3D games. And absolutely check out the Super Mario Maker 2. There are lot of great fan made levels and perhaps you would like to make your own levels too.
Mystery Dungeon is definitely going to be a fun one! I've been having a great time with it, even if I haven't been playing it everyday or anything. Nice to pick up for an hour or two just to get some dungeon runs in when I have the itch to play. Definitely one of my favorite titles i've played on the Switch so far!
Dude honestly, I wish they would do a Cooking Mama Collection for modern consoles, or at least the next Nintendo console. Every late 90s/2000s kid grew up playing tf out of those. Also, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is incredible. That's a great one to play, but if you can, I would play the original Super Mario Bros./Super Mario World games on Nintendo Switch Online (NES and SNES). It'll make you appreciate them more if you play them in order and see how the series evolves, at least in my opinion.
if they ported old cooking mama to NOS - it would boost the value for me by soooo much!! or just a modern remaster would work, the possibilities with the next switch are endless.
Here are the Switch games I need to add to my collection: Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon Bayonetta Bayonetta 2 Bayonetta 3 Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Mario vs. Donkey Kong Pokémon: Shining Pearl Pokémon Scarlet Pokémon Mystery Dungeon DX Disney Dreamlight Valley Shovel Knight There are two upcoming Switch games that I'm looking forward to adding to my collection: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Super Mario Party Jamboree
I'll list some games that are at the end of their print run and rumored to be running dry and getting hard to find that you and anyone else should pick up - Sonic Mania - Fire Emblem Warriors - Fire Emblem The Three Houses - Yu-Gi-Oh legacy of the Duelist - Sakuna of Rice and Ruin - Pikmin 3 Deluxe - Ori the Collection - The world Ends with You - Metroid Dread - Tactics Ogre Reborn - Cuphead - Ace Attorney Trilogy Apollo Justice There might be more that are drying up so I tend to go for these over your typical Mario and Zelda games that are widely available. Hope this helps with your physical copy collection! ~Btw Anyone who says Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon is mid is cappin! It's a great game. They're just talking about how the game didn't add anything new except the graphics increase and better contros. So it's a "lazy" port but not a bad game. ~And as an OG Pikmin player you should DEFINITELY play them in order. It's such a hidden gem series that needs more recognition. The music and gameplay are top notch. Hope your journey goes well! I have 85 physical copy games atm 😊😊
All 3 of those Pokemon games are great. We definitely were robbed a bit with BDSP, especially considering the hype around the originals. But the Quality of Life changes make it fun to casually enjoy. I hated the graphics at first but it grew on me over time. Lets Go is fun as well, especially if you enjoy Pokemon Go. I haven't played PMD DX but the original mystery dungeon was fun so I'm sure that ones great with some QoL changes. For the Switch/DS I'd recommend The World Ends With You, it's a cult classic.
Thanks for putting my eyes on Pokemon Shining Pearl! But I'm like you, I really want a "pixel/gameboy" style game for the switch, my dream games would be Pokemon LeafGreen or SoulSilver 🙏
i still need to play brilliant diamond, and i really wished they made platinum, that was my favorite pokémon game!! also love these “just chatting” style videos!!
BDSP are great remasters and personally I like them better than replaying Platinum. Pace is much faster and terms of completing National Dex it is very good game. I grew up playing Diamond so I have huge nostalgia for the game but when I play Diamond or Platinum on DS I just cannot play it anymore since it feels so slow
I love this! I feel the same way about the Pikmin and Pokémon remakes, I want them all and wish I got them when they were like half off. And I have Luigi’s Mansion 2 on 3DS but it’s callingggg meeeee on the Switch 😅. Awesome video, awesome chats, awesome games
Hey Hannah, sorry about your wallet. But PNP Games has a brand new copy of Cooking Mama - and it's even on sale! I've purchased quite a bit and haven't had an issue yet!
Good selection, hope the next console also delivers in terms of variety! Personally enjoyed the luigis mansion and Pikmin games the most out of this list 😊
If I was starting my switch collection from scratch, I would pick up breath of the wild. A fire emblem game. Cause those are my kind of games. Smash is fun. I’ll be getting that. Yeah any Pokémon game. Obby. Super Mario odyssey, it showed up at the right time in my life. And it’s a great homage to the series. I have Mario wonder, and I know it’s good. I guess I’m busy and I haven’t gotten around to playing it. Oh also Mario kart, another fun game
ooh thats such a fun idea!! i agree with you on a bunch of those, if i had to restart my collection i would day: animal crossing NH, mario kart (its a classic!!), and probably a pokemon game! have you played arceus?
@@hannahxsolo yes! legends arceus is a lot of fun. its syncs up perfectly with the game you mentioned in the video. brilliant diamond, shining pearl. because one is the past, and one is the present. and one game gives you clues and easter eggs, on how to unlock a pokemon in the other.
Hey!! I love your videos ❤ I wish there were more female creators who made videos about physical game and media collecting. It's so interesting to see your list and Hauls ❤
JAW FALLS TO THE FLOOR you been missing out on Mario lol. I want to rebuy Legends Arceus physical,Mario vs Donkey Kong for the Switch physical,Age Of Calamity physical, Let's go Pikachu,Metroid Prime 4 PGC4
There are so many games I wanna pick up but there are so many I have that I haven't played yet😭this is such a solid list though zelda/mario games are always a great time!!
Cool list. I think I’m doing something similar, I actually just got Stardew Valley yesterday, I haven’t played it before so looking forward to that. I recently got a Skyrim for Switch secondhand simply because I really like it vanilla most and I realize for all the years I’ve played it now, I never felt I “owned it” till I got that box. Princess Peach Showtime is great fun and doesn’t need defending. It’s a legitimately cool platformer that holds its own. Finally, I don’t know if you’ve played but I’d throw in a recommendation for Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Me and the kids played that most recently and it’s one of my favorite titles on the system.
does skyrim look good on the switch? i guess one downside is that you can't mod your game! i also have kirby and the forgotten land but haven't gotten to it yet!
@@hannahxsolo yeah, it looks good, clearly not what a pc could do with it but on the couch with headphones at night you’re still getting immersed into that world. And I play without mods anyway, so that’s not a sacrifice for me. I know you have a play backlog a mile long but Kirby is something special (as is BotW 🙊)
if you dont have any switch get the oled. i dont think theres that much upgrade on switch even if it has 12gb ram bigger screen and faster chip it would be like rebranded steamdeck that runs nintendo exclusive games. got v2 switch and just bought oled tho im underwhelmed by oled difference with lcd. im still happy cause i got the red oled version which is my favorite color. its a good collection since theres a lot of casual fun games.
Did you try Super Mario Odyssey? If no, you have to play that game. It's an awesome 3D platformer. If you ever feel like trying one of the old school Mario games then Super Mario World for the SNES is a great game to start with.
Hey beautiful 🩷🩷 the Switch 2 will be backwards compatible.I like Luigi's Mansion Dark moon I played Pikmin 3 & it was fun but I ended up trading it in at GameStop I have Shining Pearl because I had it on the DS
