I also find it funny how when Tua got injured that’s when joe burrow started to get all this hype and people started saying how my phins failed at the tank cause we didn’t got burrow, like wtf
As a Knicks fan it still pisses me off that we somehow we’re not able to get the number one pick because they wanted to change the rules on how the lottery draft went
If the Bengals don't get Penei Sewell, their 2020 season should count. When Burrow went down it was pretty much a lock until that inexplicable 2 game winning streak with 2 different bad backup QBs to drop from 3rd to 5th in draft order.
Honorable mention- ‘97 Bears went 4-12 and finished 1 game “behind” the Colts in the Peyton Manning sweepstakes... then again with our luck they would’ve picked Ryan Leaf 🤣
I remember when Vinnie Testaverde was in the draft. Tampa Bay was playing a team I don't remember with the loser of the game getting the number 1 overall pick. VT was predicted by everyone to be the # 1 overall. The game was being called the Testaverde Bowl...
1968 Eagles are the original 2020 New York Jets. With OJ Simpson as the lock for the no. 1 pick next year, the Eagles started 0-11, but then won their next 2 games and fell to the 3rd pick. The Bills got Simpson and the Eagles got Leroy Keyes another RB. To make matters worse, Mean Joe Greene went the very next pick to the Steelers at pick no. 4
2006 Oakland Raiders: They did everything right, and STILL, the tank job backfired on them. Because in the 2007 NFL Draft, they selected LSU QB JaMarcus Russell, who went on to become the Biggest Draft Bust in NFL history. To add insult to injury, the two players drafted right after Russell were a soon-to-be-inducted Hall of Famer (Georgia Tech WR Calvin Johnson) and a future Hall of Famer (Wisconsin OT Joe Thomas). The Raiders even passed up on Oklahoma RB Adrian Peterson, Ole Miss LB Patrick Willis, and Pitt CB Darrelle Revis -- ALL OF THEM Future Hall of Famers.
The coyotes just drafted bad, here’s a list of players they could’ve drafted in 2015 (the best draft since 03 and maybe of all time) -Mitch Marner -Mikko Rantanen -Mat Barzal -Sebastian Aho -Brock Boeser -Zach Werenski -Ivan Provorov -Thomas Chabot -Kyle Connor -Denis Gurionov -Ilya Samsonov The just messed up their pick, not their tank
Day 3: Video Ideas New players that have HOF talent vs. Players that don't Players with good consistent performance vs. Players with inconvenient performance
thats why I think there should be a panel that looks into "tanking" and if the see fit they should be able to strip that teams 1st round pick, Tanking is bad for the game and the league
If anything, use the 2016 49ers as a failed tank job. They had one win coming into week 16 and the browns had none. The browns beat the chargers and the 49ers held the tiebreaker considering their strength of schedule, until they beat the rams. Myles Garrett has been a beast in Cleveland and Solomon Thomas has been... ok.
I'm just here to win some money...lol but seriously this list hurt to see my Knicks on it cause this is still a fresh wound....BUT we are getting better
