I have a theory! When Leni was born she was very smart. She was the smart one. Then when Lisa was born Leni decided to do experiment with Lisa then accidentally switched their brains. Now Leni has a brain of a child.
I like this one! Plus, I'd prefer to think of Leni as being smart. I never particularly liked Lisa. She's not bad, but she reminds me too strongly of Chloe from "We Bare Bears," accept Chloe actually seems realistic. Whenever I see Lisa, I can't help but see an overly-smart version of Chloe.
That or maybe they were too competitive with who was smarter so it turned into the idea of attention so Leni manipulates everyone by playing dumb.... who knows.
Transgender people usually find out they're transgender by the age of 3-4, when they get in kindergarten, sometimes even earlier, and that would fit the age gap between Lincoln and Lynn. Notice that the age gap between Lincoln and Lynn is slightly bigger (i think three years) than between the older siblings (1 year each)? Also Lynn got named after her father Lynn Sr. Besides in the genderswap episode, it is shown that the other siblings have inherently different personalities than their genderswap counterparts, besides of Lynn, who is still the same as her genderswap counterpart. What if Lynn was born as a boy, but when Lynn was around 2-3, the parents found out that she was transgender and then they got another baby: Lincoln

I have a theory of my own: Luna's obsession for music was forced. I say this because of two episodes: "For Bros about to Rock" and "Not a Loud" In "For Bros abot to Rock", it states that Luna originally was not a music person, but her first concert changed that. First off, why would she BE at a concert if she wasn't into music? Now, in "Not a Loud" Lincoln was looking for his baby book. While he was looking, he saw all of his sisters. On the cover of Luna's, it showed a baby Luna with a guitar, indicating that she always liked music. But she didn't always like music. This leads me to believe that her parents, for some reason, really wanted a rockstar kid. So they grew Luna into loving music by giving her music stuff and taking her to concerts. Like if you considered this.
According to a theory similar to the first one in this video, there actually IS an adopted kid, but it's not Lincoln. In the episode "Cover Girls," Pop Pop (the grandpa) says Lincoln is his lookalike. If you look at the two, Lincoln and Pop Pop actually look like they're related with their similar looking hair and stuff. Also, if you look closely, Lincoln and Lola actually look related too. Their hair actually look similar. You can't see it at first but you have to look closely and see the details. So who is the adopted child, you ask? It's Lucy. Lucy does not one bit look or sound like any of her siblings or parents. Lucy probably was adopted cause the parents wanted an extra kid for whatever reason. I was thinking that Lucy was actually one of the oldest siblings but then she died and was reborn the way she is now. That might be why she's so 'depressed' and gothic---she misses her normal life where she was so normal and happy. This is just a theory but lemme know what you guys think
It's actually a pretty good theory it's just that Lucy could've gotten her look from her ancestor or her great-grandmother(?) Hariette(I think that's how you spell it).
I don't think Lynn is trans. I actually have a theory of my own. When Mrs. Loud was pregnant with Lynn, the doctors told her and Mr. Loud that she would be a boy. They decided to name her Lynn Loud Jr., after her father. However, when she was born, she was a female. Her parents were so conviced Lynn would be a male, they didn't think of any girl names, so her name remained Lynn Jr. A few years later, her mother and father told her that they thought she was going to be a boy. Soon after the conversation, she began to think that she was a disappointment to her parents, and began to act differently. She got into sports and acted like a "tomboy". She might have worn a jockstrap to prove she could do and wear anything a boy could. Welp, thats just what I think :p

Yeah but a lot of these theories are very dark and they are very much considerable. Does that make this theory any less believable? My point is that they share similarities, not that they are the same thing but as do see where you are coming from.

Actually one person did take the time to assess Leni's intelligence, as shown through their fanfiction. In the fanfic, they include the lock-picking scene, but they also included other elements such as her being in high school and passing, her ability to understand Lisa on a higher level than the show usually allows, her seamstress abilities, her creativity, and her expert woodworking. She has a LOT of skills that the author exploits along with a slight in-show revelation that she actually IS smarter than she lets on. After picking the lock to a case, she says, "There's more to my head than just air." Sure, it's a comical punchline, but that could also be a very explicit statement that she's not what she seems. So how exactly did she convince everyone she was stupid from a young age when she would never understand how to manipulate her acting? The author explained that, too. According to the author, Leni was, at one point, very stupid. But not just to make her the comedy relief of the show. When she was younger, she really was that stupid due to a learning disorder. She never meant to convince her family that she was stupid for manipulative purposes, but as her family grew to accept her as ignorant and "slow," she spiraled into discouragement and remained stuck there despite finally being on par with other girls her age. As of current, it's possible to see that this ALL still happened, and Leni remains discouraged from suddenly revealing her true intelligence. How does she remain so discouraged? Author explained that too. Offhand, I know it's a deep psychological effect when family members treat you a certain way and have the same expectations of you your whole life, so of course you'd end up living up to them. According to the author (you have to look for the underlying tones in the fanfic to find this), Leni's personality is CONSTANTLY getting in the way of better judgment. This can explain many canon scenes in the show. Her personality is essentially what manipulates her into thinking she must act a certain way for her family and friends. Fun fact: Lincoln's hair is white because before Chris Savino (creator of loud house) wanted it to be bunnies. But then someone changed his mind. But he hid features from the bunny house into the loud house such as Lincolns white hair and chipped tooth. Or some charcters buck teeth

I feel like most of these theories in The Loud House are pretty pointless. Tbh there's at least a couple that are interesting and........god damn kinda sad.
MY theory that I made up is that the Loud family never existed. They were all a figment of CLYDE'S imagination. Dr. Lopez is mentioned many times by Clyde. So maybe Dr. Lopez is his therapist or a psychiatrist. Also, it is shown many times that Clyde "spirals". Whenever he rants about something, someone says "Clyde! You're spiraling!" Maybe this is because he has some sort of mental disorder like anxiety or schizophrenia. Another thing I'd like to point of is that in the Halloween episode "Tricked!" Clyde practices his 'Breathing exercises'. Maybe this is a coping skill that he was taught when he has a panic attack. Clyde might've obtained this mental disorder from kids bullying him because his dad's are gay and homosexual. This is just MY theory. Let me know what you guys think!
I also have a theory a bit crazy but the loud house theme song makes me think that Lincoln is the one who is singing the theme song because sometimes the words of the song is saying 'we' and more words like me... Thats why Lincoln was the singing the loud theme song. So the story is Adult/teen Lincoln is telling his childhood stories and his experience with 10 Sisters that's my theory
I recently came up with a similar theory that in-universe, “The Loud House” or “The Really Loud House” (depending on your preference) is a TV show created by a grown-up Lincoln, which he uses to retell stories from his childhood.
What if Leni and Lisa switched brains. Leni acts just like a four year old, and Lisa acts (and thinks) like a 16 year old. What if one day when Leni was doing an experiment, it malfunctioned and switched her brain, or thoughts to Lisa. Idk though. What do you guys think about it? Also, I agree with you on the idea that Leni is not autistic. The common factor among people all over the spectrum is troubles in the social field. Me too, but I actually like imagining Leni is autistic. I'm bias because she's my favorite, but I also seem "normal" in most social interactions. They're not actually 100% normal, but I'm good at appearing so. And plus I'm pretty normal around my family, it's just harder with people I don't know. I mostly have awkward body language, take everything literally and seriously, obsess over stuff, need Reasons for everything, and stuff like that.
Lincoln isn’t adopted... There’s one episode that shows Lincoln finding someone that looked like his ACTUAL family, but it turns out that he is not adopted.
The theory with transgender should be reversed! She's a girl and she wants to be a boy! That's why her chest does not grow because she takes hormone pills. That's why she had no problem sharing a room with Lincoln even though she was a teenager and that's a troublesome age! It makes a lot more sense!!!

I felt so bad for Lincoln when they said that the only sisters that he have are Lily and Lucy. But in season 2, we can see the face of the parent so I really hope it's not right.

I think most didn't, actually (just based on the lack of attention this comment received). But, I know I sure as heck did. I was hoping there would be an actual scene of her that angry (minus the flipping off, of course).
Besides, it's a slice of life show for kids. Exaggerating personality traits makes it easier for kids to distinguish the characters from each other, especially when there are so many characters like in the Loud House. Since it's a slice of life show, the plot isn't very complex either, so no need for any deep, complex characters or plot twists

First one isn't true. Lincoln is older than some of the others, so he isn't the last to join the family. I know you might say it's a theory but this was just pointing out a mistake.
Also In the Episode "Changing the baby" in the beginning Lincoln ask if Leni wanted to play video games with him but she responded with " Those things will rot your brain."
That's actually not true. Video games (depending on which games you're playing) can actually be beneficial for your brain as it actively trains your visual perception and challenges your reaction time. Some video games require complex strategies in order to win battles or finish quests. I think Leni just isn't interested in video games and believes in those myths that parents tell their children.

I have a theory : The loud parents is really planning for 11 children because they have a lot of rooms and their house looks old and the parents room is down stairs

I have a theory about the loud house that the Mom and the Dad at one time we’re married to other people and the separate families had to merge together which would explain why some of the kids look more like the Dad then the Mom.Lincoln could have also been adopted in this theory aswell because the parents after getting married wanted to have children together but couldn’t get pregnant so they adopted Lincoln but shortly after got pregnant with the rest of the kids. Like the Brady Bunch, they could have also adopted Lucy, she comes after Lincoln age wise and she also has black hair and much paler skin than everyone else, so they could have adopted both of them, all the blonde kids being the mom’s and all of the brunette kids being the dads, the only thing to disprove that though, why would the moms kids also have L-names

I have a theory If Lynn was transgender wouldn't the family stopped having kids because they finally had a baby boy so the rest of the characters are made up.
I have a theory what if the Lincoln is the only loud. What if the parents had one child but then something went wrong and couldn't have another. Then they wanted to adopt more but couldn't choose which child they wanted so they wanted all of them but they knew that would obviously be way too expensive. So they made up 10 unique personalities and imagined the girls in their heads. They told everybody to just play along and act like they existed so they wouldn't feel weird in public. That's why Lincoln has a really good relationship with Clyde (because he is real and not fake like the others). Lori might also be real because she is like a normal teenager and has a strong relationship with Bobby. This is also why all the sisters are really good at particular things like sports or comedy. It is also why Lincoln is the only one who looks like his grandpa. Another reason Lori might exist too is because Clyde has a crush on her and he probably wouldn't have a crush on somebody who didn't exist. Hope you enjoyed reading this!
