To be fair, Skid and Pump are friends with a child kidnapper, an eldritch god of the stars and decided to help deliver an unknown package from a shady guy, both of them believing that GF is made out of candy because a lemon-like monster told them isn’t that odd, is actually quite in-character

just a small theory: Monster’s neck doesn’t match with the body. The neck has slight wrinkles in it as if it were veins, or you may think that. It might be Monster is wearing some sort of mask to cover his true identity.

Honestly the reason the dude has actually made as much impact as he has is because he’s such a sudden change from the rest of the game, it’s usually bright and somewhat cheery, but monster is dark and wants to literally massacre both you and your girlfriend before consuming you, it’s an unpleasant change and is kinda weird, so thus, people sometime get a bit creeped out, it makes sense, wouldn’t you?
