That's how most fighters are. The point of martial arts it's to keep you humble and chill. Most people who are mean and gloaty and brag a lot are often just scared of losing that success or scared in general. It has to do with taking pride in the roots of your raising. Canelo was very poor. But he felt a great sense of pride to be Mexican like his father. In a sense he feels proud in retrospect to have have those experiences of poverty and that’s what humbles him. Being poor is a very different mindset in working class America and Mexico. You take a lot of pride in what you are and to him he will always be proud of his roots.
