I've actually gotten a serious shin injury, I was practicing at the apartment complex for my nephews lived because they wanted to learn too, and I decided to learn how to Crane so I run at this 2-ft wall jump managed to put my left foot first and then my right shin hit the edge of the wall I actually did a failed front flip my upper back hit the concrete my lower back afterward and since I'm a chubby person the fat made this really loud clap that you could hear from about a block away, I get up I look at my shin there's a hole 6 mm deep, and the skin on the sides was pushed in, so that's it I stopped training took a little bit of a break and I was treating the whole now it's just a light brown trench in my shin...

If they put up signs warning about it, it's clearly aimed at freerunners. Why would you warn a robber about your security? Also freerunners ARE trespassers in a lot of those cases.

The trick is to just lay some paint in the morning. Then of course midday. Oh can't forget night. Then at about 4 AM, strip the paint and repeat everyday. Works just as easy.

@@novacorponline well anybody would be annoyed if someone decided to sit in the same spot for 20 mins on a phone call when they wanted to do anything with that area. That’s just how humans work, also he later said that some of the times it was enjoyable to talk and or interact with the people, but others were just annoying. He cannot move they can, simple fix. (The jump is right there while the caller can move out of the way)

Because you free-ran all over the building multiple times in spite of the owner of the building being annoyed by it. This means showing a disregard for others, considering his ability to use a building as a playground to be greater in importance than a building owner's desire for him not to use their building as a playground. And then he gets annoyed when someone is standing in a spot that is generally out of the way while on a phone. He may be able to pass that spot because he's a free runner, but normal people walking through the area? They can't pass through that spot, so standing there is as out of the way and considerate as possible. But it gets in his way, and he hates being impeded. He's an ass.

In climbing we call ripped callouses "flappers" and the best way to prevent them is to get a pumice stone and smooth down the callouses. It's never actully the callous that tears, it's the thinner weaker skin that borders the callous. The point of pumicing is to help smooth out that transition and, over time, bulid up thicker skin overall that wont tear as easily.

I'm suffering from an akle thing since June 2020 and it just don't want to heal. Whenever try carefully a higher jump or try to stick the slightest awkward landing is enough to worsen the injury. It really sucks.

I'm planning a "What they dont tell you about parkour" video. I'm in my 30's now and have done parkour/freerunning like things since I was 10, learned about pk when I was 15 and have been training it specifically since. I plan on going into the cost, the social aspect, law enforcement, physical toll/injury costs, and a few misc thigns.

“Costs” of parkour? From the videos I’ve seen you just need some baggy sweatpants (the baggier they are the better your free running capabilities) and any old shirt and then find some poor business with a wall at zero cost

However I have no respect for freerunners that think they're above the law and that infringing on private property is hokey dokey. I mean, so long as they're not actually doing any damage I'd probably not be bothered too much by it, but if/when you get caught and somebody tells you to bugger off.. just do so gracefully and apologize. You're in the wrong.

*Freerunners are not hooligans.* I mean obviously they CAN be but most people who seriously do parkour have a different kind of mentality than a 'hooligan' would. Same as anybody else. Humans intrinsically like to climb on things and move their bodies in interesting ways, and explore new environments (etc) that present new challenges and opportunities to interact and play. Not encouraging that sounds lifeless and suppressing of who and what we are, those things are important to physical and mental health, and I think public spaces should be designed with this in mind. What we should do is encourage respecting the environments we move in and moving responsibly and safely. There is a whole concept / philosophy about this respect within parkour called *Leave No Trace.* That sounds like a problem with criminals not freerunners. People are always going to be finding more creative ways of doing anything and everything, that and people wanting to climb and jump on stuff is never going to not be a thing, thats just part of humanity. Criminals existing and looking for ways to do criminal things is not Freerunners' fault, and criminals will find new ideas regardless of where they come from. Probably the biggest thing we can do to help that is create more societal safety nets and access to mental health services (etc) to help people who are in need as people who live in healthy environments and have their needs met do not have reasons to become criminals. It seems like you're misdirecting some (understandable) feelings about this at a community full of amazing people who have a great passion for doing amazing things and training their minds and bodies because of a small percentage of the general population who do harm. I would not think that the average criminal is the kind of person who would seriously practice parkour, which requires dedication and passion. Its not right that a whole broad community and sport / discipline / practice / lifestyle should be shunned for the actions of only a few people. *I am not saying that people should climb on your house without your consent, but it is very saddening to see you view Parkour / Freerunning, an absolutely amazing thing that has deeply impacted and positively transformed many many people's lives, in such a negative way.*

Causing this kinda conflict doesn't really solve anythig because it's not going to stop. It helped a lot with skating when people were saying the exact same things about it. More you create spaces for people to do said invented sport more it alleviates so using that energy to write about goverment doing so would help. This attitude is something that get's places to do it torn down. If you cannot win it maybe work with it
