A couple weeks ago my husband and kids surprised me with a sweet little piggy for my birthday. After watching your videos and doing some research our guinea pig now has two friends, I have sewed a bunch of waterproof pads, and my husband built me a similar cage to yours. One of my guinea pigs "Gaya" is a real diva. When she wants a treat and she doesn't get one, she starts to demolish her tunnel. Funny thing is, I heard from the home she comes from that her mother had the same behavior, so it runs in the family 😂
I have been using paper bags filled with hay and a few treats, my girls are in heaven. They sleep in them, and drag them around. This is their happy place.
I just adopted my first male 6 mo old “teacup-capybaras” x2. A red eyed white Abyssinian & a black short hair with a big orange snout domestic 2 weeks ago. Mr Pink & Mango. Pink is super chill & Mango is super skittish. I made it worse bc I tried to hold them, chasing them around their Kaavi habitat. They’d wake me up “weeking” hysterically at 5:00 am. I learned here what I was doing wrong & night & day difference. I stopped trying to handle and “love” them, gave them heaps of Timothy hay all day. Made a tunnel out of a wine box (lol), picked them grass & dandelions. They’re so much happier. Thanks for all your great advice! I watch you all the time now.
My 2 boys are roughly 3 years old - they're not as agile in their popcorn as other younger piggies, but I always find it so cute to watch them attempt a little hop.

We have taken to calling carrot 'piggie crack' at home with how much our two like it. 😆 And you're so right about the diva thing! Our long haired guy, Tux, absolutely hates being brushed and will jump around doing popcorn like moves but with disgusted squeaks at the brush. 😂
One of my pigs loves to be scratched on her cheeks and under her chin, and its literally the most adorable thing when she just lifts her head up and shows her little mouth.🥰

Another brilliant video, thank you. I have three very rare piggies, in as much as they don't like all the things most piggies do. They don't like pea flakes, peppers, parsley etc. etc. So it's very hard to bribe them. But, what they do love more than anything else is grass, grass and more grass. It's the main part of their diet and I feel it's very natural, so they have it all the time. I'm known locally running around with my bag, scissors and cutting grass - whatever the weather. I just avoid areas where dogs go and ensure it's not been treated with anything.

A little bit of sas or diva in them! I love how you put that because it's sooo true!!! Our 2 long haired Peruvians girlys definitely fit that description to a T they are the queen bees of the house or think they are. And will tell you bout yourself if they want something!!! Nr. 5, I must so much laugh 😂. We've guinea gigs(adopted) now for 2 weeks. Fabian and Franzi, and the girl is so a big diva. We all are loving how they are and we're so happy. Bring so much love and joy!
As for the cage being something they love- my piggies cage is on a table, and I give them floor time when I'm cage cleaning. They know exactly where the cage is and they step on my feet to tell me they're done exploring and direct me to their cage for me to take them back! Haha
I have hammocks for my girls and I love seeing them sleeping in them. They look so cozy! I also have GuineaDad liners which come with pockets that my pigs love to hang out in most of the day.

Sometimes my 2 boys are straight up rude! Lol! I believe they do get mad at me sometimes when I do something they don’t like…they make sure I know it. Such unique personalities. Love it.
Piggies love to be petted and loved by their hoomuns too. Mine have always loved crab grass and tender yard grass like nothing else, except maybe red-top clover in springtime! When I was able, I used to grow a garden and grow green beans and sugar snap peas for my babies, and leaf lettuce and spinach. Piggies like beet tops (first growth in spring) and beets too, mine LOVE baby carrots (sweeter than big carrots) and tomatoes in moderation. The acid in 'mater's can give your baby soft pills or upset tummy, but in the wild, piggies are "opportunity" feeders, what ever they find and tastes good, they eat. You may find you little friend likes music when holding you. CiCi loved Mozart Piano Concertos and football on TV. She cheered for the football.
My two guinea pigs love grass and hay when they are in their day hutch all they do is eat grass, stare at each other or sleep and they love it they also love to explore their run. at night they love to eat their hay and veggies

i have two boys right now🥰one is albino and one is tri color, they’ve been sassy with each other today but they LOVE the midwest cage i got for them, esp when i clean it bc they sniff every inch of the cage ☺️ ahh i can’t wait till they start wheeking but ik it’ll be loud💀

I have a C&C cage on the floor, and some of the cube parts have bigger openings. Daisy likes to push her head through them to try to get inside when I'm cleaning their cage. Her butt is too big to fit though 😂

Omg yes one of my Guinea pigs, Omelet loves to do this. When I leave the side gate open and i have omelet on the floor she goes straight back into the cage.
One of my piggies loves human interaction but the other one doesn’t. He grudgingly allows me to pet him but only at feeding times. However he will take a mint leaf from my lips as long as I don’t attempt to touch him at the same time. And neither of them likes pea flakes.

I just rescued 2 female piggies! One of the piggies (josie) is an Abyssinian and has a slight head tilt because of a major ear infection when she was young. The other piggy (Meg) is a ridge-back piggy I say she has a shark fin because of the ridge on her back! I keep my piggies in a 2x4 with a 1x2 expansion! I love your content! My piggie named Kevin if you put him on the floor in the living room, he will travel to my daughter's room and jump back into his cage. I have a C&C cage it stands 12in tall so I was surprised to see him do that.

Hello!love your vids. My Pigs are in a birds cage but they are free roaming during the day. I give them Veggies during the morning and whenever I put out my Food slicer, They wheej and squeek. They're very friendly and I made them a diy hide. I'm planning to give them more cage spaces
