All my cars have been like this, like when I’m reversing into my driveway, I pull up in second usually as my drive is around a corner, then if I was to dip the clutch and stop, keep the clutch pressed in and go straight into reverse, it will either just not go in, or it’ll go in but it won’t go in smoothly. So what I do is, go off the clutch completely, then press the clutch down again, and then change to reverse, goes in smoothly then.
Good little cars very reliable I had the 1.25 zetec few years never had any mechanic problems & now I'm loving my st150, biggest downfall to these cars is the tilt handle's always break on the seats to let people in the back, plenty of seats on ebay but they all have the same problem they are broken & wasting time as they eventually break any ways as manufacturer FORD produced faulty tilt handles for every seat lol other than that great cars even st150 are very cheap I think thats the best thing about these cars cheap & reliable fuel isn't good on the st150 but it is what it is a pocket rocket
My dads giving me his one in a few weeks for my first car. I’ve always loved fiestas and he’s finally agreed to let me take his one. Got all the zetec s parts on it so will hopefully go like a bomb 👍
Hopefully someone reading this can help? I have this exact same car (same colour and 05 plate etc but not this actual car 😂) I had it in couple of days ago for a wheel bearing replacement, when i picked car up from garage i drove around a mile before realising the engine light was on, speedometer was staying at 0 mph and the mileage wasn't increasing. I took a video of this and sent it to the garage who basically told me it was nothing to do with them as they only changed the bearing 🤔 My car has never had this before and was completely fine prior to taking it to get bearing done so doubt this is just a coincidence that it's happened in the few hours the garage had my car? Somebody has since told me that in these cars the speedo sensor is linked to the wheel bearing but can't find any kind of info online. It's going back into another garage in a few days but just looking for any info on what this could be. Seriously pi**ed off with initial garage though 🤬
That sounds like a crap situation mate. It will more than likely just be a sensor but it's the fact that they straight up dented all responsibility. It's a crazy world and I think things like this are why a lot of people are taking it upon themselves to try and do the job themselves.
@@gazza9919 Yeah was thinking a sensor myself, but to me it's obvious the garage have messed up somewhere and just havn't bothered mentioning it to me. They have obviously took the car for a drive after doing the bearing just to check it was ok etc so they must have noticed the management light was on and speedo not moving. The worst thing is i should have learned from previous experience using this garage as around 8 years ago i had a clio in for a ball joint replacement and within an hour of getting the car back the air bag light was on, and windows stopped working 😂 then the next day i had another issue with front wheel (can't remember what that issue was though) Only took it back this time coz i thought surely after 8 years they are not cowboys anymore (and i couldn't get it done anywhere else quicker than they could do it). Never again though
Bought an 08 1.4 mk6 last October, I've had loads of cars in the past, but got to say I absolutely love it, done a few little things to snaz it up, so easy to do, great to drive. Echo your point about how after all these years it still looks modern.
you forgot to mention the sound of this 1.25 engine i have it on 2004 mazda 2 and its amaizing ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zqV9hnoPRCI.html
Right so bare with. I’ve got a mk6 and currently the only option I’ve got when skipping a song, is to open my phone and change it while driving. Is there anything I can buy to essentially give me a ‘skip song’ button option to my car/radio??... (cheap)
i bought this car couple of weeks ago. everything is going good but i want to know that i am unable to lock my car from inside while driving. for a safety purpose. can you tell me what to do?
Big fan of the mk5 but they suffer with general rust and structural corrosion but the mk6 is reliable and cheap to run and don't suffer with as much rust as the mk5!
I only put this as the mk4 face-lift was such a change from the mk4 that it got called the mk5 when in fact it was the mk4.5 therefore commonly making this better known as the mk6. You are correct it is the mk5. But its more commonly known as the mk6 and that is why I chose to title this video what I did.
Gazza9919 I wouldn't say fuel was great. I get around 20-28mpg in town (small trips) . I have mk6 2006 studio it's pimped out alloys everything love it and it's fast for a 1.25
I mean, if you pick up a low mileage (sub 90k miles) 1.4 TDCi Fiesta (I have an 08 one) they're great as a first car. Economical, easy to work on and get to grips with working on your own cars/vehicles. Around town on my TDCi I get around 48 MPG, on a run 75 MPG, Combined is around 58-62 MPG depending on driving style and how much you razz it.
I wouldn't mind some better headlights for my mk6 06 fiesta do you recommend any? Also thinking of getting an exhaust don't like the bent down one these have do you recommend a new exhaust for looks more than anything
As far as headlights Go, the ones I have are good for looks but terrible for practicality would probably suggest getting halo's and I havnt really looked into exhaust enough to tell you to be honest mate
Hi guys my ac wouldn't work i thought it was compressor clutch, however when i looked underneath all four wires had come out of the ac high temp sensor i have a a replacement but wire colours are different . wondered if someone could take a pic please.
@@SamEppie I personally don't bother but if you want to do a proper job, it would probably be best to then use primer followed by a few coats of pain then finish it off with clear coat
You sure about fuel usage? 250 plus miles to £20. Based on cost of a litre of petrol near me 250miles to £20 would be 67mpg. Im only getting 55mpg from my tdci
Oh sorry I think I worded it wrong, what I meant was out of a full tank because 20 quid will happily take me 100 miles any day of the week and the tank take about 40-45 quid to fill so I'd feel quite confidant to say 250 miles, especially with motorway driving
