See what I'm sayin tho you can't be ignorant, mean, nasty or rude as all hell with the people you need to work for you and get you thru the night.. The world is too cruel as is to be that way with people ya know😁
Update I started a week ago but it’s understaffed af I have to cashier cook make bags, run the windows and prepare drinks all in the same breathe. And one manager is stuck up and bossy towards me but nice to everyone else that she already know. But they said I’m learning fast and at least I don’t cry like the other girl but I’m not crying cause the pay is good and I’m saving for eye surgery so I’m on a mission idc if the keep me or fire me I know why I’m there lol
Had my interview on Monday got hired on the spot and my orientation is on Thursday I been watching all these videos to get a sense of how it’s gonna be
i started yesterday- my managers were very nice and i got trained by four different ppl i was nervous but I got the hang of it .i was doing I was doing drive thru - computer systems look hard but is very easy once you get the hang of it
i think im gonna be on grill, the girl who hired me didnt ask any questions or anything, she told me to go to orientation etc, hope im on cash booth or something else bc grills gonna be a challenge but ive watched alot of steven spatula vids
Just cause someone speaks Spanish, doesn’t mean they’re automatically Mexican 💀😭 so be careful saying that girly because you can offend Salvadorans, Guatemalans, Hondurans, etc since they speak Spanish
Nawh nawh as a member of the Mexican community we don’t care because we say worse like 10000000x worse things to everyone and we aren’t like black puzzy and get offended easily 😂😂😂😂

I had 3 “training” days which is pretty good since others get none at all, but I wish it was a weeks worth of training :( They put me on cash, fries and every once in a while I make the coffees and smoothies. But I really wish they had more training on the details like where to find certain things in order to restock like cups, caps, fries etc… I’m very lucky that the people there are always willing to help me but I get so nervous because I don’t know where everything is esp when it gets busy. If u have any question I will try to answer! I’ve only been working for 2 weeks so :)
That’s great! I actually never thought of the idea of training ppl on where certain items are. Our stores are probably different but we have everything labeled and most things are located together for example with our cups you’ll find coffee cups, soft drinks etc by each other and then you’d find cup holders and straws by them as well :)
@@mexyoba2140 DO NOT BE SCARED to ask for help and don’t be scared to make mistakes. Trust me, the more you work it’s going to get a lot easier!!! Good luck my friend :)
Im 16 and I've already worked 2 jobs before in food places but im starting at mcdonalds in a shopping centre in like 3 weeks and im really nervous because everyone says it's really bad, i was offered another job at the same time but the hours and pay were way worse, but the people were amazing and friendly and im worried i chose the wrong one even though mcdonalds works more pay and shift wise
hi, so i went in for my interview. the manager told me that they are hiring full time and part time crew members. he asked me to fill in an application (asking for an reference, my age, hours i can work etc) then he asked about a work permit but i asked if i need one since im turning 18 on april 9th. he agreed that i dont need one since i asked to start work after that date and then he told me to come back april 12 and bring my social security card, id, and food handlers card. so did i get the job?
@@nayelifuentes5186 they told me to go to different locations for orientation but it was 3 hours away walking (I cant drive and at that time I didn’t even have a dollar for the bus) so I didn’t go I started working at jack in the box but left cuz I moved
I’m a shift manager at McDonald’s and I don’t treat my people like shity and I honestly don’t act like a manager I act there like a regular crew so you know we still can have fun at work 👌
it will be hard for the first day. it’s a lot of pressure and you’ll probably get nervous and overwhelmed. well i did😂 i had to go to the bathroom and talk to myself in the mirror😭 but if you’re a minor you’ll probably just be working in the drive thru. it’s just hard finding where everything on the menu is.
@@nyanicholee5632 heyyy so she interviewed me for like five minutes and asked what hours I could work and I wrote down some references of people I have done jobs for, than she said she’d let me know about a second interview within the next thirty days, I really hope i got it I’m so broke
So I’m in middle school, currently 14, my school schedule is from 8:30-2 and I start my McDonald’s shift at 3:30 and end at 11, normally working night shifts onna weekends but bruh it be really tiring going from school to job to school to job (only work on Tuesday,Wensday,Thursday and weekend night shifts.
I have my Interveiw June 1st. I’m not nervous at all, More so anxious. I just hope I get the job. I been studying questions and just trying to remember what to say. Any tips??
Honestly just be truthful don’t try and lie b/c atp I think McDonald’s hire anybody 😭 but I didn’t really get asked questions she just asked if I had experience and if I was bilingual and then I got hired... so I can’t really help so just be prepared for anything, be honest, smile, and ask questions! GOOD LUCK 😘
This is her experience and I’m telling mine 1. They did train me 2. My mangers are amazing 3. I don’t care about that stuff 4. Correct if you don’t want to work specific hours don’t write it down McDonald’s will have you go in at 4 in the morning or stay until 2 am if you don’t specify 5.pretty sure she skipped this one but idk lmao 6. It’s fast food what do you expect it will be busy 7. If you can’t handle when you mom screams at you don’t join McDonald’s 8. The one I have is clean and it’s mandatory to wear gloves and wash your hands every hour 9. It isn’t hard for me everything has pictures it’s simple for me 10. What do you expect once again it’s a uniform but it literally grey like relax
Just the regular uniform like most jobs black jeans black nonslip shoes, job uniform hat and shirt (sometimes apron depending on where u work here it’s not mandatory) and name tag (which is optional at my job but not all jobs) and a black belt
It’s really stressful working there they make u do so much at a time today somebody gave me a fake 50 I didn’t know till I clocked out and the wanna be manager told me I owe her 50 dollars so when I get payed I have to give her 50 dollars I’ve only been working for 5 days…
Well ur supposed to Check bills 20 and up but they tried to get me to pay 100$ well me and my coworker will spilt it bc the drawer was short 100 and that happened twice with me working with the same ppl and I told them everytime I work with them money missing but when they not working with me it’s not so who’s the problem
So I’m working somewhere else and I don’t get a lot of hours and I’ve been applying at other jobs and if I do get hired somewhere else is it bad to not put 2 weeks noticed?
Honestly that’s up to you I’ve only had one other job and I wasn’t getting hours either but I was working there since I was 14 so the people there were like family but if you’re really fed up you can walk in there and be like I quit, or you can just not show up, or put your 2 weeks in I recommend doing the 2 weeks Bc one that’ll give your job time to find replacement plus that’ll prepare your new job to get uniforms and training situated. (Hopes this helps🤍)
I’m not a new employee there but customers are a big issue, I do get the ones who wanna catch an attitude at the speaker. I repeat orders and confirm that’s what they want. Somehow they still come in saying they forgot to add something. I’m like that’s YOUR problem, especially since I repeated your order to you, bc they be so quick to say yeah that’s it’s correct, but come in if they “didn’t ask for something” or that I “didn’t add it on there”🙄 before managers even think about yelling at me for getting their order wrong I tell them I repeated their order and that I repeat every single order so that way the customers can’t push the blame on me.
My orientation started yesterday and it was a rush and nobody was training me only one girl who was an employee at the service window but, the actual manager was not. And they made me leave 20 mins early so I just left, I think I failed at my first fast food place, I work in retail for a long time but never fast food so this was very new to me and I get it I won’t be prefect the first time but They really yell at you and scream at you out of frustration, I live in a small city so many of the workers I went to High school with and I never had a problem with them but they ended up trying to get me in trouble and mess up orders because they didn’t like me. I am on the verge of being homeless at 20 and McDonald’s was the only place that called and emailed and interviewed me, but I am continuing to look for a new job because I don’t think I am gonna make it.
It does take time to get used to how fast paced it is but I’ve been working since 14 and I never waited for not one job to call me as soon as I put in an application I was calling asking to speak to a hiring manager and asking if I could come in the same day for an interview, good luck ❤️
Love you got this🤍 I started working at 14 it’s going to be hard lowkey but rmb school before work!! You don’t have to work at this age I’m sure it’s just Bc you want to you have the rest of your life to work so focus on school if it gets too hard also please save some of your money I’ve wasted thousands of dollars for no reason so spend some save some💕
January is the slowest month so hours are cut but it depend on how many hours you said you wanted on your application and also how many employees you have there
How long does it usually take for them to tell you when to come in for orientation. I got through the interview and they offered me a position but I don’t know when orientation is.
Just started 3 days ago as the morning maintenance guy shit is hard frrr especially cuss i dont know how to take the oil out the machines and also the freezer stuff as well😭
It’s going to be hard especially bc your new and problem only have managers telling u to do stuff instead of showing u how to…you’ll get the hang of it tho
I had a interview today and got hired on the spot but I’m a little nervous bc the reviews on my McDonald’s are so horrible literally I seen no good ones
Honestly every review on fast food and most retail jobs are going to be bad only bc who likes working there yunno your not doing ur dream job so ofc ur not going to like it
Yes I was the only person of “color” or the only person of a different race until about two weeks ago but me and the other person had only worked one day together.
@@almighty1158 i went in for an interview. manager told me to come back in a few weeks with my social security card, id, and food handlers card. does this mean i got hired?
I literally didn’t get asked nothing special it’s basically like all interviews: why do you want to work here, are you in school, what hours would you like to work, how much you want to be paid, they usually just ask questions about you to see if you work good in a team
