We have a good restaurant in the area where I live. It's one of those where they don't serve alcohol; you have to bring your own bottle. The first time I was there (no bottle mind you) I took a look around at the other guests and not one single person was drinking alcohol. It's now my favorite restaurant.
Thank you so much for this very helpful video. I am now 9 weeks sober. Your advice has helped so much already. My GP who didn't know how to help me anymore about my daily intense panic attacks at the time, about 10 years ago said.,"well why don't you try a glass of wine", so I did. One didn't help so I tried two...that didn't help...well I think you know where I ended... alcohol addicted WITH panic attacks. BUT I made a change all by myself. 9 weeks sober now and feeling much better ❤
Thank you so much. You are so inspiring I find Diet Pepsi helps me not drink when I’m socializing. All my friends drink. Challenging but I cannot drink. It’s ruining my life. One day at a time Thank you for all your videos !
Thank you so much Simon, we just completed 2 months sobriety. Can you do a video on mental health and alcoholism? It’s known that 50% of alcoholics also have a mental health issue. My friend was diagnosed as bipolar 1 and never had any clues because he was self-medicating. Thank you so much and let’s beat this disease!
100 days since last drink. Not a big drinker but Friday and Saturday habits. I’m already sitting here thinking of Negronis in the sun on holiday. Terrible really. Great video Thankyou.
- Regarding the places you visit - I agree, but the problem is, that for the past 8 years I have been drinking with my coworkers every other night. Sometimes having first drinks in the early afternoon. Almost every person in my family, friends and coworkers is a person I usually drink with or got drunk with regularly - my social network is a problem for me. And I dont enjoy hanging out with most of them when I am sober but they are not. Guess I am screwed and/or up for lonely few months ahead.
I'd say the top two are 1. A GF/BF leaving you, or your parents passing, and 2. Having a beer because it's kind of expected, of course everybody knows that it's the first drink that gets you drunk, but yeah, false self confidence, I can have one beer and then no more, doesn't work
Hey I've been 7 months sober and I'm sick of drinking water and sodas, I don't have any cravings to drink but I want something refreshing especially on hot days after doing yard work, I'm skeptical on getting alcohol free beer, do you have something else that you can recommend? Thank you
