Currently in Fortaleza, just returned from Iguetemi Mall....sure seems like Brazil like consumerism as much as us Americans. I met two Brazilians brothers who saw me struggling with my limited Portugese, they were super friendly and helpful. This is country is awesome and I have been comig here for 40 years and it has always been awesome!
Malls are popular in many cities in Brazil mostly because you can walk safely in malls with no risk of being robbed. Plus it is comfortable walking with AC on.
You make very good points. I am a native of North America, but a long time naturalized Brasilian citizen, and in my opinion what you expressed about the 10 things you talked about are very accurate.
Have you done a video comparing all the north of Brazil cities? I am considering going to Fortaleza this January as it has the most to offer someone like myself but I am also interested in Salvador and Reciefe. I'm thinking of going to Fortaleza for 2 weeks only. But open to other ideas. Cheers
Brazil is on my list of places that I would like to visit in South America. The one thing that stood out to me was the sunshine. I would like to live in a cooler climate that has a lot of sun. That is pretty hard to do. Most sunny places are too hot for me.
If you live in the states it is considered less expensive. The dollar is very strong in Brazil. Apartment price probably 4-500 dollars less in Fortaleza with amenities.
