This is a list of things that no one told me about before coming to Johannesburg, South Africa. Enjoy the video! #SoutyAfrica #Tymelondon #Johannesburg My socials: Instagram - tyme.london.007 TikTok - tymelondon447 Facebook - tymelondon
Tyme London, since you like Nandos this much please go to first Nandos establish since 1987 in Main street, Turfontein. Its about 20 to 25 min from where you are, this is the very first shop, its part heritage sight in Johannesburg, still operating. you will see a car dealer next to it. 100 % South African by the way.
Ooh Man Tyme thank you for giving us South Africa ❤❤❤we appreciate you & we are very grateful for your visiting that means a lot to us enjoy & explore experience 🙏
Just for your information. Nando's was founded in South Africa and then spread out to the world. It was founded right there in Johannesburg in the 80s. Enjoy SA 😊
Nando's is South African bro in the same way KFC is American and Mercedes Benz is German. Nandos is South African in the same way Toyota is Japanese and Google is American. We just exported it like everyone else exports a good product. Perhaps the most shocking thing about this country that you should know is not the fact that Nando's is South African, it's the fact that of all the countries on earth, the countries with the most KFCs are UK, US, South Africa and China. In the whole world. Google the countries with the most KFCs. Otherwise everything you are eating in that Nando's meal in England is developed here. SA is not Nigeria.
In South Africa The Germanic cars are Paramount. Even if you go to the hoods that's what everyone buys. BMW/Mercedes are favourites here. Then also your Porsches, Range Rovers and other nice cars are favoured.
Sometimes it's not even a case of favouring German cars. These things are assembled in the Eastern Cape for the left hand driven American market, for parts of Europe and the South African market so they are here with us. We are the ones that assemble them. Everyone else on the continent imports them except South Africans. We have an option of buying them straight from our factories because this is one other place besides Germany where Mercedes and VW make their cars.
Nando's is a South African brand, obviously it will taste better here. Thanks for the video by the way. There is another kid on the block called Pedro's, try that and come back
Me as a south african never heard of exchanging money's on the black market u will be scammed Nigerian, Ugandans mostly are known to be scammers in our country they might give u fake money's
Good vid. The mosquito thing is dependent on where you are in Joburg. When I stayed in Jackal Creek, I got chewed up. Now I'm in the area you're in and there's no problem whatsoever.
Generally we don't have a mosquito challenge in South Africa but in areas where they can be, those ones do not infect you with malaria even when they bite you.
Did you know that your Nando’s you eating was only £7. I’ve been there in Joberg and I can’t wait to go back. I loved Joberg I think about South Africa every single day. I need to get out of the U.K.
Mosquitoes are all over😂but for some reason it seems like they aren't as bad as a few years ago. Maybe I'm just used to them now. We have really bad drivers and we have a homelessness issue. It's crazy you haven't seen any street beggars but you'd see more of them in places outside the richer areas (Rosebank & Sandton). We have many potholes and stolen street lights so some areas are so dark it's hard to drive😂 Just saying. And yeah Nando's is a South African chain. There's tons of things to love in SA but we could definitely improve in a lot of places especially crime. Glad you enjoyed it. Try Durban and Cape Town before you leave.
@@ScissorN it's crazy cause I even slept with the windows opened for a while and I had 0 bites and I didn't even hear them. Flies have been annoying. My dog has also been suffering from fly bites and we groom him quite a bit.
Street begging is quite rare. I think it's mostly because of the widespread government social support programme. There is a fairly strict currency controls, such that it is risky and of course illegal to use black market for currency exchange.
Bro, how do u feel about the weather there!... You know here Uganda, we are just recovering from the scorching sun... Yeah thanks there are no mosquitoes, I came wen it was winter, had my accommodation in black brick hotel
Hi, this power shedding is a new thing. We never had anything like that before. So annoying it's government failure and politics. But it can happen here in the uk too, I heard them talking about when Russia and Ukraine war started
Ahhh man that shop you went to after Nandos is too expensive 😂😂😂😂😂 Normally they charge like that when you in the area with rich people ❣️❣️🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Most parts in South Africa don't have mosquitoes but we have them to the minimum though and there's almost no malaria where mosquitoes do exist in South Africa. Cape Town I don't think they exist there.
I live in Cape Town, Goodwood area...and there are mosquitoes here. People like to make Cape Town look like a City that doesn't have problems but it does.
So many good things about SA.. The banking system is reliable and fast.. Roads in the Western Cape are well maintained. Cape Town airport is modern and clean. There are of course many bad things about the country as well..Massive poverty. Poor public education, etc, etc..
@@thabo3866 I agree.. Be positive.. I have taken it a step further and invested my hard earned cash in SA! I believe that they (we) can make SA the most civilized, advanced, African country on the continent... It will take a lot of hard work, but I believe.....
Tourist don't travel to see the poor areas. They are spending their money and want a holiday, not some BBC news. If you went to the USA, would you visit Alabama or Miami?
Mosquitos are there but there is no Malaria, street people are localised in specific areas where you have not touched down. Generally SA is smooth to be honest.. that is why Black Americans are not settling comfortably there. Kindly, do some house tours bro' you mouth will be smacked real big time. I am in the UK not adjusting... try to visit other provinces brov' and you will fall in love with the country.. Enjoy your stay,
Johannesburg has got mosquitoes at summer but not infectious ones. Hey I live in a new building here in the uk, soooòo expensive cost of living and nothing much or nothing special
