I lived there for 5 years and had not heard of Zeno;s or the cottage of snow white. a bit of advice....1) make sure you wash everything off before you leave the beach, sand fleas are nasty and like to burrow under the skin. 2) don't set up too close to the edge of the water, when the tide comes in your beach chairs may be floating out. 3) Make sure you get sunscreen under your chin, behind your ears and under your arms, the white sand reflects the light and you can get a sunburn in the most unexpected places. 4) never leave your property unattended if you go into the water, there are thieves where you least expect them. 5) don't go during Spring Break, Bike Week or the Daytona 500, the traffic is stupid and the waits in the restaurants is long. 6) lastly, don't go in august or sept, the humidity is awful.
I just want to go to Daytona Beach to say that I finally fulfilled my teenage dream of going to Daytona Beach. I wanted to go there in 12th grade during Spring Break.
Ed Walden's Bar on the south end of Beach Street. Always stop there Bike Week for a beer; friendly neighborhood place (beers half the price as rest of town, tip them well please!) that I think was an old gas station...
Two other things I love in Daytona: 1) Daytona Zipline.. Climbing ladders, walking across wooden bridges, tight rope cables and zip lines. 2) Daytona Lagoon.. Very affordable water park, with arcade, obstacle course, bumper cars, and mini golf nearby. The Daytona Lagoon isn't the most impressive water park out there, but good value for your money.
LOL! We’ve talked about that, but it seems like it’s been done so much by other channels at other locations. Not sure I really get the fan devotion. We will probably end up there. But my wife says not for a while because that exit at LPGA is already a cluster.
How about mention St Augustine. That is country's home of the 1st schoolhouse in America. You can still see history standing still as it was so many years ago as they began education in America in that tiny little class room with one or two desks and a chalkboard. It's amazing!
i lived there from '92-'02. my 10 things to do besides visiting the beach were as follows. drink, smoke weed, drink, smoke weed, drink, smoke weed, drink, smoke weed, drink, smoke weed. true story!
