King Nijam was so caring about the artistic of food and he ordered his chefs to add an exotic vegetable and that time the only vegetable goes well with the biriyani is only potato ( aloo).

No one cares man. It's sad reality we live in. People don't care enough for fellow humans so animals are not even in question. I would have hoped these people who are earning money because of these animals would at least treat them with love and respect but most don't.. Same with dairy cows

I was only 10 when I visited this place for the first time ever in my life with my dad; and I was completely in love with this place. This place has its own charm and has always been very rich in fantasy, luxury and festivities. One should must visit this place at the time of Christmas. At this period of time, Park Street is full of lights and random people. College Square, Coffee House and Madox Square are the best gossip corners in Kolkata and an ideal place to hangout with friends and family. College Street is itself the world's largest library. Any kind of book is very easily available here, and that too at a very reasonable cost. Whatever you do, but don't miss out on Kolkata's Cuisine; its freakin' delicious! 👌👌👌Boat Rides and Chariot Rides are a bit costly, but it's worth the money. Princep Ghat is also a sublime place and is mainly preferred for wedding photoshoots.

The real story of Biryani is that when Portuguese came to India, Potato was cultivated and was the most expensive vegetable in the market at that time. And after that The King Of Awadh wanted to impress his friends and relative just by calling them to a feast at the Palace. They just added Aloo to the biryani and all of them loved it so much that that they suggested the King that whenever they visit him they should be fed with at least Biryani with Aloo in it....... And the addition of ALOO IN BIRYANI is still a CRAZE in Kolkata, and we dont consider anything a biryani until it has big pieces of meat and Potato in it.

In 2019 July I visited Kolkata for first time.. Such a relaxing and wonderful place with social people...must visit for everyone.. However it is quite humid.. Best time to visit is in winters

I'm from Lucknow and we have our Biryani cooked in many areas in many different ways but the best and original Biryani is the one which is eaten all by itself just like this Biryani
Exactly my thoughts.... Biriyani aisi ho jiske saath kuchh extra lene ki zarurat na ho... Biriyani ki real natural taste usse alter ho jati hai. Kolkata biriyani ko aise hi kha sakte hai..
