Cool video I have been to Mauritius 3 times and I'll say apart from the Rum and Sugar Factories, I've seen the rest of it. I would add some more places to see: 1. Gris Gris Cliffs 2. 7 Cascades Waterfalls 3. Black River Gorges National Park 4. Grand Bassin 5. Le Vanille Nature Park 6. Port Louis (and its main attractions) 7. Le Morne Brabant 8. Casela Nature Park 9. Grand Baie 10. Flic-en-Flac Beach In terms of 5 Islands tour, I'm not sure which one you went to but I did 2 separate island tours (Iles des Cerfs and Iles des Cocos)
Thanks so much for the suggestions! We also went to Grand Baie but with beaches in the resorts I didn't feel it was really worth recommending per se. Was cool to have a fresh coconut though! Also went past Flic-en-Flac, keen on these other suggestions though, thank you!
depends….with which islands in the world you compare it and if you personally can compare it by your own experience. Have you seen so much in the world yet?
Thanks for making us proud of our island.. . there are many places more interesting than this you have not yet discovered ,next time if u come make sure to visit . . .I will give you some tips if possible , , thanks 💓💙💛💚
@@rajabrasen5439 R u coming alone? its not that much boring because of the entertainment you will see and received here. take the notes of the places: Casela nature park, crocodile park, water park( slide into pool) , trou aux cerf (dormant volcano), chamarel 7 colours, black river gorge national waterfall, plenty of beaches we have like belle mare, palmar, flic en flacq, blue bay,,and we have Natural bridge at gris gris beach ( pond naturel),tamarin beach(dolphin sighting n surfing), le morne (on the bottom of island),cap malheureux.etc,,in fact there are many more...about 200 tourist sighting.
Hi Kunal, I am Spencer from the United Kingdom and will be visiting the delicious Island of Mauritius this spring. Please can you recommend some unique and beautiful location to visit whilst we are in Mauritius? Also do you know where can we hire a car? Thank you 🇬🇧
Amazing! I definitely suggest contacting the locations ahead of time just to check if the pandemic has changed their opening hours in anyway. I usually visit the accounts in Instagram for the latest updates, just in case. Enjoy your trip and have a blast!
Hi There. It is so Awesome to see South African Vloggers reviews because it is so difficult when it comes to South African bookings. Very quickly, was this cruise holiday or a normal flight bookings. Also, did you use a travel agency and if so, which agency did you use. I have been on two cruises with MSC and I would like to visit a different destination now. So I am thinking of doing the Mauritius trip. Also, what is the rate of exchange in Mauritius? I have so many questions, but I will not bombard you with that now😁🤣 Thanks
Hey! I booked my flights through SAA and used the hotel shuttle. You can order taxi’s from your hotel if you want to go out and do stuff, the hotel will give you recommendations. The second time was a business trip so things were booked for me. Go to our blog and search Mauritius and posts will come up with more info :)
Most things visible in the video are situated in the southwest of the island. It is the ‚creole‘ part of Mauritius. Means, here are the Creol roots and the missing part is a climb on the Le Morne Brabant mountain, an absolutely must do! A world heritage site as well. Next to it is the beautiful beach on this magnificent peninsula. In around a 15 min ride by car near Chamarell is the National Park. Hiking is a must on many different routes throu the valley or on top of the mountains onto the highest peak of Mauritis, the Black River Peak. …There are so many more great places to see ! Tamarin Falls, Bois Cheri Tea Plantation, Grand Bassin, etc.
@@travelandlifewithroaz Oh wow! I actually stayed at the Four Seasons as well, in their villa. Here's a vlog I made of it! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LLtYxHgyUf8.html I am also available on Instagram here: instagram.com/gotthepassports_
I love my country Mauritius is like paradise to me 😁 it's like Hawaii but better to me you can visit it any time but unfortunately corona got on the beautiful island
Thanks for watching BDN! We had a private car that took us around. I'm sure you could chat to your hotel about where's best to get a car from, I'm sure they will have a few suggestions.
Could you please recommend me the best stay for honeymoon which is budget friendly and near clean beach and from the above places are not too far.. Thanks in advance... What about Radisson Blu hotel?
I remember when the seven coloured earth was completely open and you could walk on it and even bring back some coloured earth with. But sadly people did not respect and they had to stop the walks on the earth. Nw we have to look at it from far 😕
I've stayed at that Veranda Tamarin and it's not a 5 star hotel, but it is located right on the public beach so it's easy to go swimming with the dolphins and SUPping from the hotel.
Everyone’s budget is different so I think it’s probably best to do a little Google because there are places from $100 to $ 100 000 a night! I would book activities closer to the time, especially since things are so up and down at the moment (I booked swimming with dolphins literally the day before).
@@TheMsYessYess I booked through the Veranda Tamarin Surf School/shop. It's literally right outside the hotel so I just used them :) Was about $50 to swim with dolphins :)
hi I am from mauritius..there are very few flights..you must buy a package including air ticket and hotel stay with 15 days quarantine..it's a fortune...
@@nasmader4446 thanks so much for the tips Nas! Travel from South Africa is still closed until the end of the month so we will have to see what they say in March :)
Let's see, there's: Swim Sunbathe Drink Boat Water ski Jet ski Dive Para-sail Surf Sight-see. Yup, Ten. Actually looks like an extremely fun place, but I agree, you SHOULD have taken more of the guided tours, yes they cost, but they enrich your visit so much more. You may have saved money, but in the end you short-changed yourself. 5:58 It's "DEPICTS", not "dictates". DEPICTS the history of sugar on the islands.
Calm down Maria, I'm not a professional tour guide. I don't even work in tourism! I'm just sharing MY experience of the island. Why don't you make your own videos and do things the way YOU want to do them? 🙄
I'm not qualified to really speak on this, but personally I'd say no. Mauritius is a small island with limited amenities, I think you'd struggle coming from a well equipped, developed world nation to Mauritius. May as well move to Hawaii and remain in the States.
Morning Giridharan, yes, you can hire cars in Mauritius. Many visitors self-drive, however, I don’t know about the licence. When you reach out to the car hire company, I suggest asking them there. Good luck and have fun!
Hey SB! I stayed in the north, east and west! I loved the LUX Grand Gaube in the north because you can walk straight out of your room and onto the beach. The Wast was at Veranda, which is budget friendly and in the East I stayed at the Four Seasons, which is obviously premium accommodation. Where are you travelling from?
@@stembabe740 Then check our Veranda in Tamarin. It's right opposite the public beach where you can go swimming with wild dolphins for about 50 quid :)
Hi Witney! I've stayed at the Veranda in Tamarin in the west, LUX Grand Gaube in the north and Four Seasons Anahita in the West. One for every budget :D
The best months to visit are November and December..actually it's as hot in January and February but the risks of cyclones and heavy rainfall is higher in these two months..
@@prakashgooljar5026 Thanks for helping :) I agree, November was FAR more pleasant than January, January was insanely hot AND we had our trip pushed out a week due to a cyclone!
In what sense? I think I'm lucky that my video has helped so many people! I only hit 1000 subs this week but my video has helped people for nearly 2 years :))
Dont rent a car from Avis Budget Mauiritius Airport. They didnt refund the deposit. They didnt answer my messages now. Totally disaster. Gökyüzü Göktürk
We actually found the supermarkets to be relatively priced to South Africa and most resources in inclusive on some level (whether brekkie or brekkie/lunch or all 3 meals +).
Unvaccinated people still need to isolate for 7 days on arrival, this is a non starter and they need to update their Covid rules to reflect the science.
