During our MONTH IN SCOTLAND we did a LOT of family activities. In 10 Things to Do on your Family Trip to Inverness, Scotland - Capital of the Scottish Highlands we show you just some of the things to do at Inverness. Most lists focus on the day trips from Inverness you can take around the little city near Loch Ness. And there are a lot of things to do in the area, but we wanted to focus on the city itself. It's a charming, rather small, city on the Ness river where it flows into the Moray Firth. It's leafy and green in the summer and I think one of our favorite things was just walking along the river. It was so peaceful and beautiful. Your first stop is at Inverness Castle which provides a great view and is a great place for things to do Inverness.
