Hi hi so it's been awhile since I've posted on this channel but I promise I'm going to start uploading more. Here I talk about some stuff that I wish I knew before moving to Japan. I actually have a much longer list if anyone wants to hear more stuff I wish I knew. I tried to come up with things that I don't think other creators in Japan have said.
Also I don't know why I said 'two' like 'chu' found that out while editing.
I feel like I look so serious while recording but I guess I was just nervous. I'm still getting used to this video thing so yeah.
If you have any editing tips for me please comment and let me know but please also do it in a nice way haha. I'm definitely doing all this with a very low budget also, please like my ghosts in the background.

These are such unique things that I wouldn't have thought of, especially the train congestion. I'm planning on visiting Japan soon, I will keep these in mind, thank u for real!!

Aww thank you for your comment! I’m glad it was useful for you! I really tried to think of things I hadn’t heard other people say yet 🙇‍♀️😊

Great video! I spent 2 years in Japan and I find most of the "japan etiquette" videos kind of useless? I enjoyed the real talk rather than the basic tourist "rules" that are mostly outdated or irrelevant.

@@nusuth24 thanks! For real! I spent so much time being anxious about etiquette that literally no one cared about… lol

@@hisorosie And then there's the stuff that has weird correlations like "eating while walking is rude" ending up as being told off for leaving the office while still chewing on a candy because clients might see you 😅 But yeah, they definitely cut you a lot of slack as a foreigner (at least before you're told off about it 😂)

After 10 years of living there; always have an escape plan. Always have escape money set aside. Always know when its is time to quit and leave Japan. Your 20s' are important earnings and connections years, so don't waste them in Japan unless you really see a financially viable future there. You will never progress at work like a foreign man will as they expect you to get married and have kids.

@@modtomodern for sure! I think it’s easy to lose track of time in Japan and keep spinning the wheels in dead end jobs. I’ve had some wild (illegal?) things said to me by employers - one even admitted to me they had concerns about hiring me because I’m a woman of “childbearing age”… Definitely having escape money set aside is a good idea.
