I ❤ all the Maschine videos that you’ve been making Boris! They’re always inspiring and much more engaging than reading a manual. It’s amazing all the things that it can do! Thank you! 🙏🏼
i love how they are still making content on maschine. that being said we are still waiting for an update with basic things like a better timeline and automation. you can do it!
Barry, do what you need for your mental health and quality of life. I hope you don’t stop the channel. I’ve enjoyed it immensely and appreciate your opinions. I look forward to every video. However, time is money in this world and if a sponsorship helps offset some of the costs in time and mental health, do what you have to. I’d rather you do that than stop the channel. You’ve proven your integrity time and time again and I would continue to trust your opinions. Whatever you decide, I thank you for what you’ve done. It’s an amazing accomplishment given your other responsibilities. Take some time and follow your heart. All the best to you and your family! Enjoy the holidays!!
First of the bravery of posting a 8 year old video…👏🏾 second I’m just gonna assume something great is coming to namm next year…. I’ve been using Maschine since 2012 and not much has change over the year despite the desperation of feedback provided from the consumers. We have a lot of competition out there and our coach is leading us to fail…. Please update machine. We need visual EQ’s, gross beat like features and many more…. We can take this to another level together. We made it plain obvious that we want to stay with this daw. Please listen to us because I’m this 🤏🏾 close to switching to fl studios. I got it for a bday gift to years ago and my wife is wondering if she wasted her money 😒 but that’s another story. Fix Maschine, update and thank you in advance! 🙏🏾 #YoshiOnDaBeat 🥁
This! Please. The hardware is fine. Love it. But, the updates are needed on the software side. I would rather stay in the machine software rather that record the audio files into logic to finish up with automation. I would love to have Machine become a more full daw with more features so I don’t have to leave it.
Program change looks so easy but it's really not clear at all how you program specific changes. Many years ago in the early days of Cubase, I used parch change messages extensively for which I needed to identify the patch number. How did you do that in Laser bass?
How rare would it be to damage a device’s audio inputs if you put a headphone out source into them? I understand headphone outputs can very widely between devices, depending on how powerful the amp is/etc and not all inputs are built the same. So without having the technical knowledge to know when it’s safe, I tend to avoid it altogether and stick to line level. Am I being overcautious?
Hi there, it's not possible to automate the master level of the track at the moment. Also, it's best to use a DAW's multi-track recording capabilities.
@NativeInstruments @TheJgraham12345 Since you can have almost an unlimited amount of groups, the Best "Workaround" is to route ALL GROUPS to a "MASTER GROUP", Treat it like The MASTER and there you can fully automate,
@@Mr.FaceboxI was playing around with this. How would you go about running an automation over the span of an entire track in song mode? Just drag the group clip for the entire span of the song and record in automations?
So if one can use program changes (and midi notes) with the snapshots (on a selected midi channel), is there a way (on windows) to make a midi loopback (either via software preferably, or via hardware or a midi cable from out to in), would it be possible to sequence the snapshots in Maschine (+)? notes about snapshots: Let us be able to use colors because the all white pads can be confusing with clips who are also all white. How about a dedicated snapshot lane? Being able to record fast snapshot changes would offer a lot more possibilities.
Is there a feature to make one-shots stretch without the sound getting faster? It would be nice to put one-shots on keyboard mode. I have to load my one shots in Playbox to get what I’m looking for.
Jef Gibbons has done a video on this. You have to transpose using audio module, render the audio file to a new sound slot, in a sampler, then that’s it! It works like kb mode, but you cannot achieve this with kb mode. Also, using this method, you have the advantage of formant engine if needed. Sampler alone will always speed things up, unless rendered out of audio module at whatever pitches you want to assign to pads. It actually doesn’t take long to do…..
My German isn’t good enough to reply but good enough to understand :-). Yes, I completely agree. Maschine is a DAW, and a very good one but its limitations are in the area of audio and in automation that exceeds pattern boundaries. If only NI made an effort to improve the platform, but the signs are not very good.
is any of this possible with the non + version? My limited understanding was the devices were similar, just this is the DAWless version. I have the Mikro as I wanted ot learn before I invested so much in it. I have Massive X as part of my Now subscription and was trying to figure out how to use those on the Mikro (if its possible at all)
I think all of these tips apply to the non+ version. The demo is in fact with a Mk3 (non+). All functionality is also available on the Mikro but you will need the Maschine DAW with your mouse, I believe.
I see vids like this and realize that I know nothing about a device that I've spent hours working with and invested more than enough money in. SMH. So sad.
This thing needs an update. It could be the final groovebox if only they Will bring the ability to sound design on the m+ standalone and an improved step seq with probabilities and such
Maschine (+) really has a lot of hidden useful features! I was still hoping for update news for the same hardware like the complete Kontakt 7 Factory library and Play Series for Maschine +, rendering a pattern to audio with a button instead of the mouse, audiowarping incl. audionquantizing like in Ableton and more DAW features.
@@NativeInstrumentslisten if yall make Maschine Software more of a DAW like Fl Studio that would be the win we've been hoping for, for me Maschine arrangement workflow Sucks so I only start in Maschine & Arrange in FL we kno yall can give more greatness c'mon NI!!
Boris saying…”BuuUT!” Made my night, now y’all do something for the company and all the fans y’all are quickly losing and give us the version of Maschine we deserve, but keep Boris, he’s golden.
This was great thank you. This video makes sense to produce at this time. With so many grumbles from current Maschine users that there have been no significant updates, this can renew your faith and help you explore what you have not known was possible. Veteran users may have already known these tips but those wanting to get into the NI Maschine environment can now see that there are cool things that can be done if you are willing to delve into it. Im pretty certain a major update is on its way. Seeing as the new Komplete Keyboards do not or have limited Maschine integration this can mean that NI can possibly move in a more focused manner where Maschine is concerned.
The more I used Maschine, the more I came to understand it sensibly. This video turned my boring understanding of specs into a creative activity. Boris, you are the best!🔥❤
I'm a big fan of Maschine! And I feel so inspired every time I see these videos. I am currently doing everything on Maschine without an additional DAW, and it's been fun! 🙂
I just bought the mk3 two days ago and wasn’t aware that vsts aren’t compatible with Sonoma … 2/3rds of the instruments / sounds / one shots / fx are literally just talking up space . Why tf isn’t there an update by now
@@mclovin1498it jus dropped bro.. never update your mac os unless all thrid parties for everything you own are on board. thats apples bs not NI. and don’t get me wrong NI needs works but apple been fukin shit up
Please make S Series mk3 keyboards compatible with Maschine+ again. M+ is the most amazing product, you guys should make more standalone products, anyone else want more standalone NI devices?
Hey there, if you're referring to the issue with missing VST2 components, Komplete Kontrol 3.0.1 update has been released to address this issue. If you need assistance from our support team, feel free to get in touch with us directly here: bit.ly/n1kontrol
You guys made this video instead of updating the damn software? Great. Thanks. We still can't automate tempo or time signature within our projects & the audio module still causes problems in standalone mode with Maschine+. We also still don't have round robin sampling?! No pad/loop hold? etc.
when we'll receive an update? machine plus is nice but is missing a lot of instruments and the support for external audio interfaces is really buggy please release an update!!
Here's some words of advice to anyone with a new Maschine, watch these kinda tutorials, (and there are literally dozens and dozens out there, Doug from "The Sound Test Room" has some nice ones!) And watch them , if possible , while using your Maschine, it's one of the best ways, I've found, to totally implement and then ultimately remember the knowledge!! Have fun with it , God knows you spent the cash!
NI, can you guys partner with image-line to make Maschine and FL studio work together like butter? When I use Maschine as a plugin in FL it’s a nightmare. I know this is not many people’s workflow but it would be nice to see a collaboration between my two favorite companies.
Thank you Boris and the NI team for all the effort you put into these wonderful videos. It would be great if we could also get an in depth tutorial on how to mix and master the final track on the Maschine itself. It would be super useful for those who plan to buy the Maschine MK3 or the Maschine + and are looking forward to producing the entire track in it without exporting the stems to other DAWs.
It feels good to see NI building loyalty by continuously showing support for their products and not only focusing on the latest releases. It can lead to a community supported company where customers feel valued and willing to support the continuity of the company - a beautiful two-way avenue. Well done NI and thank you, Boris.
If they'd only actually UPDATE the bloody thing properly. There are hundreds of workflow niggles that have been requested for years now.. still just crickets from NI. So yeah, I have no idea what the heck you are going on about. NI is just deflecting here. It's a dead product as far as I can tell.. and the horrible flop of Maschine+ only made it worse.
Thank you Im quite new to maschine but a Komplete Kontrol user for years.Ive learnt so mush from your videos Boris and getting so much more out of it now and a far faster workflow too.Fingers crossed for integration with KK Mk3 might buy one then !!
You came close here to a clear and complete explanation of how to use the input and output sockets and what is required in terms of routing internally for different scenarios. I took my Maschine plus on holiday and I tried to play in some location recordings over cable from my phone to the sampler. I just couldn't get any audio in spite of hours spent searching for what to do. I think the basic explanation of audio routing input left and input right how to get that into the sampler detect mode would be a good place to begin. I just couldn't get it to work.
Hey Andy! Part 3 of the "How to use everything in Maschine" trilogy includes several chapters on setting up the inputs as well as recording signals into Sampler and the Audio Plugin. All things shown apply to Maschine+, too!
Just have to say this. Best tutorials ever, in any music making category. Very useful and easy to follow. I also like the style of the dood and his professionalism. Thanks Boris and Native Instruments. :) I don't have Mashcine yet but I am going to get it in month or so. :)
Thank you. Maschine MK3 is my favorite tool right now, after playing with many hardware boxes, Elektrons... If I could wish something, it would be nice if it would also support MIDI effect plugins, e.g. for some generative stuff, then switching patterns for a group over MIDI, and an individual record arm per group feature... also nice if I could still hit a pad if the sequence playing for it is muted, as another option for mute (audio, sequence, playing).
Some very cleverly done awesome tips here once again Boris ..This hardware just gets better and better . Rock On Jono Rezzillo Glasgow Scotland 🏴 🙏 Thanks NI
Forgot to mention earlier, is there videos available for folks who run Maschine inside a DAW …where it’s syncs…and how to save those stems we have created in Maschine etc
BORIS >>> Thank you, thank you, especially to you! MORE MPORE MORE How good it feels that something is happening, that you r keep on doing that. Whenever (over the years ) the usual machine doubts get louder an louder, there comes a ligth and some hope through you that the way of The Machine will continue. I still love my MK3 and Jam combo for jamming and making my sound carpets sketches. I have one wish… for the next round: The integration of a fader port (i.e. an external mixer (with motor fader)) into the machine. I use it in my DAW if I want to continue. Because when it comes to a whole track/mixing, you can't make it in maschine …at the moment ;-). But that's old old hat. I do the real arrangement with Studio One. It's a shame, because I actually don't want that and my way of music doesn't need it. I want to make and combine a lot of good sketches and not paint perfect paintings. Still having problems to use an external hardware synth in maschine … loosing the midi connection? Old problem. Keep it up… When can I order MK4 ;-) JL
Bush league question: Can Patterns and Scenes' trigger states be adjusted like with Ableton Clip Mode. I want to select the next Pattern or Scene in a performance, and let it kick in when the current Pattern or Scene finishes playing out. Any suggestions or fixes? Anybody? TY in advance!
On the first tip can I use keyboard mode on all the pads running the instrument off one plug in ? And can you add individual effects to each pad ? Trying this after work
hey guys and Boris, do you know how can I use my usb microphone in Maschine 2 software so I can sample sounds? I cannot see my microphone in inputs in settings. I am using Macbook Air M1 and microphone is connected through usb hub.
Hello. Is it possible to preview "Prehear" only in headphones from groups or sounds? I mean I want to hear groups, or sounds, or one touch only in headphones and then Load them to my project.
