I only have a beautiful female cockatiel whose personality is pretty colorful. Hates air kisses makes a hissing sound and can be crabby when she has to go back inside her cage. She loves bonding with my sister, and I
Thanks for sharing. How many cockatiels do you have? If someone keeps 2 males as pets, sharing the same cage and etc, do you think it may get problematic long term? On the breeding season for example? And going on vacation and leave the birds with extra food and water and have someone come every other day to check them out? For 10 days. Do you think the birds will get to stressed or anything? Thanks in advance and God bless you.
Hello good time I apologize, I had a question Why does a female cockatiel lay eggs without a mate? And does this egg laying process stop? Thank you for your answer
That is normal, i have a female too and depending on the season she lays eggs without a mate during her hormonal period. She may be more distant and a bit teritorial but just for some time. Just be careful that she doesnt lay too many eggs as this can be harmful for the body, but if there is no such problem she should sit on the eggs after she lays all of them and after 2-3 weeks when she sees that they dont hatch she will be back to normal. After she is done sitting on them you can remove them slowly. Just dont remove them while she is still laying because she will lay more in place of the missing ones. Good luck with your bird!!
@@Pixel607 Thank you very much for your kindness Thank you for your valuable advice and answer My cockatiel has been laying eggs consecutively for about five months, until now she has twelve eggs, she sleeps on the eggs for three weeks, then at the end of each laying, when she sleeps on the eggs for three weeks, she releases them herself. I am very worried for her, what method should I try to stop her from ovulating? What is the real solution? I talked to the vet, he says he has no choice. Thank you for your guidance Thank you🙏🙏
@@simplelifestylewithavin-eh5yl im sorry to hear that! My bird had problems with egg laying for about 3 months but fortunately she stopped randomly. I am not sure what happened and what advice to give you because i didnt know too what to do and what fixed the problem. You can try to limit her posibility to have a nest, light the dark places and corners of the cage, try to keep her out of the cage as much as you can and keep her entertained and distracted. Give her foraging toys and see what happenes. My experience was that after she stopped laying i kept her all day out of the cage and only let her in at night, the in the morning first thing i did was to let her out again. Maybe that helped but i really am not sure what to say. Maybe try going to some other vet for some other answers! But i wish you all the luck i am sorry for not giving a clear answer but i am not that experienced unfortunately!
@@Pixel607 Thank you very much for your helpful tips and tricks My cockatiel doesn't live in a cage. His videos are available on my RU-vid channel. If you have time and would like to see how he lives, he doesn't even lay eggs in a cage. Thank you very much for your time to guide me, I will try to use your guidance May God give you the best and always be successful and victorious🙏🙏
Nice information ❤ I have a question that I also have a pair of cockteil but the male cocktail do not do mating while female is ready for mating can you tell what is the reason behind this plzzz reply
Lots of time & patience. They need to get to know you, and their environment. Try feeding the bird millet spray. Hold it in your hand, and gradually move the spray so that your hand edges closer to the bird. Also, train the bird to « step up » on your finger. Be slow and gentle in your movements. Most of all … time, and lots of it. Best of luck. They adorable pets.
@@justmemimi7338 yeah I got some today I’m gonna try it but it will take a long time to do the step up thing bc they are scared of just my finger Ur right I gotta stay patient and wait thanks for the advice !
My lutino pearl just like the one in this vedio has dots under flight feathers and has no markings under tail feathers. It is now one and a half year old and hasn't made any vocalizations. Is it male or female?
