I'm 11 turning 12 in October and i really really really love this movie specialy because Olivia newton john and John travolta are in it wen i fawnd awt that my 2nd favourite capal in my favourite movie Grease was in a movie tonight i just had to whatch it

Wow ! Thx so much for this ! Never knew all these facts about the movie ! Robert Stigwood ? I wish they had used the Bee Gees music in the film ..... Not that there's anything wrong with the Soundtrack, it would ve been even better had they included even more songs by Livvy and the Bee Gees of course. Yes i saw this at the Cinema 2 ! Have the LD, vinyl and cds. The issue with Grease 2 is that both Livvy and John were to make a Cameo at the petrol station where Michelle's character worked. I dont remember now what Patricia Birch said as to why that never happened, why that Cameo never came to pass. Way back in the day i heard on the radio that both Olivia and John had asked for 2 million dollars each to appear in the film, the people connected up to the film werent happy, so that was the end of that. So there you go. It would ve been the icing on the cake had they made the cameo in the film.

Nice to hear you enjoyed the video. Two Of A Kind is yet another movie that needs the Blu-Ray treatment. As for Olivia & John not appearing in Grease 2, this was a major misfire by the studio. If they had of appeared in the film, it would have lifted the profile and boosted the box office worldwide. I'd forgotten about their $2 million asking price, it's a bit steep for just an appearance, but I guess they were two of the biggest stars in the world, so it goes with the territory. Like you, I think The Bee Gees would have been a great addition to the Two Of a Kind soundtrack. Stay Gold, Australia's Retro Man.

Olivia's acting classes really paid off for her in this film, unfortunately, she did not have a great script to work with, but her scene at the acting class within the film is really well done. It was also the first time we got to hear Olivia swear on film and have a heated romantic moment. The look of the film is certainly a 1980's time capsule with both the leads sporting oh-so-fashionable mullets. It gave us some classic ONJ hits with the standout being "Twist Of Fate" - I'm not sure that Olivia has EVER looked more gorgeous than in the video clip for this one. If ONJ and JT were asking $2 million each for the Grease appearance, one wonders what they received for this. I do believe that they were a couple of the first stars to have taken the offer of residuals from the film (Grease) so I can only imagine how much they made in total from that as the original salary was rather small... ONJ was always coy in regard to what she made from this or that, so we will never know... Loving your blogs by the way...

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on ONJ and Two Of A Kind. It was great to see Olivia try different things in Two Of A Kind and her acting class moment was definitely a standout. The look of the film and the music video were perfect for the time. Yes, ONJ and JT were paid fairly standard sums up front for Grease. I've heard that Olivia received around the $125,000 mark. Yes, reports have suggested that they asked for around $2 million to appear in Grease 2, however, their fee for Two Of A Kind hasn't been officially disclosed, but it could have been around the $2.5 to $3 million mark, which was very good money for back then.
