Dibiase was still in the then WWF in 1994 but not as an wrestler. He was a commentator on Royal Rumble 1994(returning after a few months off following his final match at Summerslam 1993 against Razor Ramon) and became manager of the Million Dollar Corporation until Spring 1996. However, yes he wasn't on the active roster anymore. .
Yokozuna should have never won the Royal Rumble in 1993 because he was still fairly new at the time and unproven still. The only other names who had a real chance of winning were Mr. Perfect, Undertaker, and Randy Savage. Ric Flair had already committed to returning to WCW by that point so he wasn’t winning.
I'm disappointed that 93 is the ME where Hogan pulled his sh*t and beat Yokozuna to win the title in 22 seconds. I was born 11 days before it happened.
This seems to reaffirm my theory that wrestling "ended" when Flair won the Rumble, unifying the NWA and WWF title and Hogan turned heal betraying Sid. All while the soon to perpetually embittered Bret Hart was too sick to compete. Bret's booms and bust were attoinment for the injustice perpetuated by Hulk Hogan. Bret was ultimately exciled as the rattle snake emerged in a rebirth of entertainment with attitude, slaying the dragon, the higher power himself, Vince McMahon.
This video makes a hash of my first year as a wrestling fan; Hulk wasn't teasing *anything* in '93; he was just wearing WWF ICO-PRO merch and his casual clothes, FFS...
Right. By this logic, his "retirement, maybe" promo from before WM VIII a year earlier (shown again during the show itself) should be in their '92 video in this series. And that would be bullshit, too... 🤣🤣 @@neiljohnson2067
@@davidaulds7031 Earthquake returned to the WWF in 1994 but it was only for a short while. After the Adam Bomb match at WrestleMania X, he did have a feud with Yokozuna. They wrestled a sumo match on Raw. At the time, I thought it was a perfect feud for Yoko after dropping the title, since Tenta was a legit sumo wrestler. But very shortly after that, Tenta got injured at a house show and he was released not long after, so their feud ended prematurely. Earthquake won the sumo match btw.
@@primusvsunicron1 I think it was a scam supplement (look at me being redundant) that Vince bought a financial stake in. But perhaps it was a scam that he cooked up himself. But fun fact, I hear it was made out of the ground up antlers of reindeer. Which sound like some type of black magic shit.
vince was the financial backer of icopro, promoting it in the wbf and wwf at the time and having the wwf shill that stuff. i heard bret hart hated that stuff, yet had to do that tv ad attributing all his success to taking it. 😂 then he offloaded that stuff to his neighbours at christmas time because he didn’t want it. they politely returned it back to him after not liking the taste. the tv ad bret did had the camera angled upwards his nose while he was walking in a gym and saying, while pointing at the camera, “…and that’s what icopro is all about!” 😂 the steiners, luger and many in the roster were encouraged to hype the product. even dr. hatfield, the doctor who wrote random “health” articles for wwf magazine was hyping this up because it was formulated with bodybuilders, sports athletes, and (god knows why) race car drivers in mind. 😂
raw was supposed to be “uncooked, uncut, uncensored” blah. that’s why it was called raw. people forget that today and everything is heavily processed/cooked, cut and often censored, yet they still call it raw. lol
@@christophernicholson20is say it’s vegetarian in the worst way Since, while I hardly eat vegan food, I know quite a few that do And there are tons of ways to provide taste and uniqueness to a dish Which is not to say vegan is inherently bland, that’s more so the very basic items used for vegan though The hallmark of them all be tofu, which is why it has SO MANY variations be they vegan or not out there Cause it’s bland as heck by itself
Perfect came back as a special referee for Yokozuna vs Lex Luger at WrestleMania 10 in 1994 left again and came back at Survivor Series 1995 and worked mostly as a commentator until he led Marc Mero to the Intercontinental title after that he turned against Mero this led to HHH winning his first Intercontinental title . Perfect was gone again shortly before Survivor Series 1996 .
this was the year where after 1992 with the Vince and the Steroids trial and felt the Hulkmania and the rockin Wrestling decide to have 1993 the start of the NEW GENERATION ERA ! 1994 WAS MIXED BAG 1995 WAS when we get tot worst year in money making and WCW started a war!
1993 was actually a good year both creatively and in terms of match quality for the WWF. I would argue that WWF was very good through SummerSlam 1994. It was later in 1994 when things started going downhill. And then 1995 was a disaster.
@@bluntamainia444 the first half of 1994 was awesome, as a wrestling fan. Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, and SummerSlam were are good events with some outstanding matches that are still talked about to this day, including the HBK/Razor ladder match, and the iconic Bret/Owen feud that culminated with the best cage match ever in WWF history at SummerSlam. I understand you meant financially, but I don't care about how much money a corporation makes.
It sucks when little kids like this video poster make comments on stuff they didn't actually live through. Most major fans were original Hulkamiacs. We were all going tbrough or went through puberty and trying to hang out wirh chicks. We went back to WWF in our college years during the attitude era. And really, Vince is an idiot and only good with a refined product.
Carlos Colon wasn't under contract he was only brought in for the Rumble same with Tenryu he only made 3 appearance on WWF pay per view WrestleMania 7 , Royal Rumble 1993 and Royal Rumble 1994 . Earthquake came back for a while in 1994 his only pay per view appearance in 1994 was a 30 second squash against Adam Bomb at WrestleMania 10 .
#10 So many in that Rumble were gone by WM9. Case in point: Flair went back to WCW a month later Max Moon may have left after the show Koko B Ware Earthquake Repo
Errr....Tenryu wasn't signed full-time to the WWF. He was making up the numbers left by the depleted roster, like Carlos from WWC and jobbers like Moon and Demento. Plus, he *was* in the '94 Rumble! 🤣🤣
Manager of the Million Dollar Corporation from 1994 to 1996 and involved in the Undertaker vs Undertaker fiasco at SummerSlam 1994 , the feud between Tatanka and Lex Luger 1994 , the feud between Undertaker and the Million Dollar Corporation 1994 to 1995 and the feud involving Stone Cold and Savio Vega in 1996 during which Stone Cold and Vega had a Strap Match the other stipulation was if Stone Cold lost DiBiase had to leave WWF/WWE . Vega won the match .
5:53 No one tell Hogan, Brüther! Or he'll retcon it so that he went to WcW with the idea for nWo, dude! It was an idea he had pitched to Vince, but the jabroni didn't like the idea of the man that made wrestling, remaking wrestling bröther! And that's the honest to God's truth, dude... or maybe it isn't!
