3:22 for anyone who somehow still doesn’t know this, you need to open the box while it’s showing green. So the colors go: blue, purple, green, orange, always in that order. The second you see it turn green, wait like exactly 1.5 or 2 seconds, then hold square/x and it’s guaranteed a purple gun or better.
In the settings go to controller, scroll all the way down until you see “Interact/Reload Behavior”, change this to “prioritize interact”. Now whenever you press square/x there is no delay. Meaning there’s no randomness, you will receive a gold weapon if you do it right

I got it yesterday on round 5. First box hit. And it gave me the red zombie jump scare. Two friends were standing next to me and didn’t know the game has jump scares. They freaked when I didn’t jump back. They thought it was going to kill me. I was crying they had me laughing so hard. But I got the ray gun.
I reckon it was just something funny a dev added in, but the community brought it to life. That's why on firebase all it does is appear at round 30 and shoot a laser, basically no ai or anything required.

Been playing since World at War and I quit playing for about a year and a half and coming back trying the Cold War zombies because of the free access and I gotta say, I love it. I never would of thought that the zombies me and my friends envisioned would come to life less than 10 years later lol

You can also get the ray gun from breaking the crystals in the Aether dimension. It’s honestly a good play to go to the dimension between rounds to get supplies and potential perks.
While I don't have it recorded, I got deadshot from one of the dark aether crystals in one of my games yesterday. As for the coffin dance being randomized, Glitching Queen posted a video showing that you can control the outcome but it requires a different control setup. Change your interact key to tap rather than hold, then interact with the box when it shows an orange reward and you'll get a legendary 100% of the time.

@@themistake8904 it’s not you gotta switch your interact from hold x or whatever to tap when you hold it on orange there’s a chance it gives you something else since it switches faster than when you get to hold x

The game took away my shotgun and just gave me a golden tier ray gun and I don't mean orange legendary and I still have no idea why or what I did as all I did was go through an aether tunnel then start training zombies as normal and then my pack a punched Gallo disappeared and the ray gun popped into my hand. I have it recorded im just too lazy to post it. Probably post it tomorrow
3:47 You can clearly see you didnt open it on orange, the smiley face is blue before the crate actually opens, therefore you're more than likely to get something around that rarity (around uncommon, but not guarenteed) You pretty much have to open the box when it's half way done showing the green smiley face, because by the time the box opens, the green smiley face will have rolled over to the orange one. Which makes everything in the box epic, legendary, or ultra tier. You opened the box too late.
I notice you can get a free level 1 armor from the dark either crystals, then during the coffin dance go shoot the crystals again and you could possibly get deadshot, elelemtal pops, speed cola, i even got tombstone once. Just shoot all the dark either crystals possible. Keep in mind perks increase by 500 essence even if you got it for free, so buy perks you want right away, like stamina up and deadshot, then do the dancing coffin for free jug. Potential for an extra perk while the coffin dance is going on.
For anyone wanting to know you can always get a legendary weapon during the coffin dance easter egg. Turn on tap to interact. Open box when it is on gold smiley face and legendary weapon 100%
Double points does work with change, the zombie dance you can Guarantee a legendary. Let it cycle and hold x on the color before legendary, which i believe is always green. When you do this it actually opens the box on legendary giving you a high tier drop.
Wonder jiz is active in dark aether. Good practice to get to power round 10 ish or later and when doing pap go to stamina room and jump under wonder jiz machine to buy perks. Then do pap normal and coffin can be done after for jug if u wanna use points on other perks. If u don't know how to jump for wonder jiz just run upstairs
bo2 had lose change just would not stack, however with the addition of vulture aid the change that dropped from that did and made the green mist last longer as well. There was a glitch that was patched very soon after it was found that you could manipulate the point mech on anything you wanted perks, points from kills, rebuilds, clearing debris, and the number of zombies that would spawn or how many rounds would go up per finished round. That game was my life i hold it dear. R.I.P one of the greatest cods in history BLACK OPS 2!
In split screen the coffin dance drops one of two players threw the floor and kills them....not happy about it and it's happened over 4 times so it's not just a one time bug
10. Double does double the change. It never used to but I can confirm in cold war you get 200 points if you go prone at a perk machine with double points active. Free 1200 if you do it with all 6 perk machines. 9. I have only once received a perk from the purple shards when I did it gave me elemental pop 7. This one is new to me so I'll have to try that out 5. Another new one for me 1. Another new one for me. ***EVERYONE MUST READ*** The coffin dance Easter egg crate is NOT random!! It has a LED screen and changes colors, if You open it while it’s on gold...it will continue to change colors and open on a different color. First see what color becomes gold on the screen (for example let’s say green is before gold. So next color change sequence, open the box while it’s green and it will open when gold pops up) So next and next time it comes around open it on the color before gold and that’s how you get the wonder weapon or a gold weapon with self revive plus perks.
The box is not random it is legendary in orange but you have to change your settings to “tap to interact”. With holding x you miss the yellow everytime
Noahj explained it the colors only tell you those are the rarities in the box, tapping on the color does absolutely nothing , I myself have gotten ray gun on blue and that’s not blue

I had the jump scare for #7 happen to me when I was hitting the mystery box and the last gun that popped up was the ray gun, I got excited and went to grab it but the box spun 1 more weapon and it landed on the bunny... and that’s when the jump scare came OUT of the box and chased me to the other side of the weapons lab (it was at that box location in weapons lab). The game was just me and my friend and neither of us knew wtf had happened. I clicked this video thinking that was why but it wasn’t... same exact jump scare tho except it CHASED me across weapons lab and then grabbed hold of me. I’ve been playing zombies since I was 10 back in 2009... this actually spooked me. Haven’t had that feeling since probably BO2 ngl.
If you go destroy the crystals while doing coffin dance, you can often get really good items, i have gotten 3 self resses in one game while coffin dance was goingon
Ray guns and DIE Machines are also dropped from the crystals. Me and a buddy just finished the easter egg yesterday on round 14. I know people do it faster but we did it so quick because we both had DIEs and I had a raygun that dropped from the coffin dance chest.

With the coffin dance easter egg ive noticed that there is a small window when it comes to opening it. As soon as it turns orange u need to hit it if u wait to long u wont get the best reward
With the change thing it does double up for double points. Atleast for Cold War and the crystals do drop perks equipment, lethals, armor, and I wish I recorded it once but I’ve got the ray gun from breaking them
Another pro tip if you're with some buddies, have 3 of them with rpg kill them selves on round one at start and then they come back on round 2 with 2000 each player except the one survivor
