10 Things You Need To Know Before Buying The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq 

Me and my wife just bought one this past weekend…. So far we love it.. very nice from the side… has many luxurious features and drives very smooth… going based on what the sales person said these cars can only be ordered through the Cadillac website since they are on “high demand”… just keep In mind if you are going to purchase one they are going to try to charge you $5,000 extra because since these cars can only be ordered online… they are going to tell you a bogus answer that whoever ordered the Lyriq for whatever reason didn’t want it anymore so that 5K they were going to charge the customer, they are going to try and charge you… but we eventually got them to cut that by 3K… overall we love the car so far …. Got it in Dark Silver 😎

This must have been reviewed by a Tesla writer. Harsh ride? Not one review has raised that issue. I'd look for more reviews because does not represent how it drives from all the other videos I have seen.

My introduction to EV's was a 2012 Chevrolet Volt. It was a great car. We bought a new 2021 Model Y Tesla. The fits, finish, and overall quality were better in the Volt. The Tesla is much more fun to drive if you like fast acceleration. We get a pretty honest 4 miles per KWH and that is with my hard accelerations. I just can't help it. I am looking at the Model S but the Lyriq is finally available here locally so I will check it out. The Lyriq interior is far more beautiful and looks more luxurious.

High center of gravity? Come on! The battery is the Ultium variety. Meaning all the weight is essentially along the floor of the vehicle.

Seats are for shorter drivers. And the display is fairly dim in daylight hours.

Looking at the clown show comments listed below it is clear that 9 out of 10 commentators have never sat in or driven one. I drove both and the Caddy is the clear winner.The ride is superb. What the hell are they talking about about here? The interior is way ahead of Tesla Y. And now with GM accessing the Tesla network it's easy to see why the Lyriq is the winner. So much so that I stepped up and bought one.

A street racer it is not. I found the ride to be quite satisfying with a secure feel. It seems that there are quite a few of these cars on dealer's lots, now that they have upped production. Not all Cadillac dealers are so reputable as I am finding out. Buyer beware!

don't forget about the finger pinch points for the rear doors. pinched my fingers trying to open the rear doors. need to do a better job.

Good info, but when will GM be shipping for I have placed an order for the 2023, over one year ago, dealers have no info to pass on fromGM?

The design is not much of a departure from the CTS-V Sport Wagon. I have one and they look very similar.

It is not good when the engine is turned off and it comes back after half an hour and the car is running

I have no confidence in GM’s ability to deliver on their promises. Classic case of over-promising & under-delivering! I’m looking elsewhere for an EV, even @ a significantly higher price.
