Carl, in the short span of time I have tuned in to your RU-vid shows, I have learned so much about the Tahitian Islands - its culture, nature, lifestyle, and the plethora of things to do. You provide so many interesting aspects of the Islands, as well as the Do's & Don'ts in planning a trip. You have taken so much time with my wife and I in planning our vacation, and offered up valuable suggestions along the way. Patience is truly a virtue, and you certainly have that. For anyone new to this RU-vid page that is planning a vacation to Tahiti, do not go it alone. Reach out to Carl and have him arrange the trip for you.
I booked my honeymoon for one to Tahiti in March, 2023. I am doing all the research and learn as much as I can now. Thank you for the valuable information.
Glad you enjoyed Laurie. Reach out to either Cherie or myself when you are ready to start the planning. We can be reached at 1.877.972.2275. I am sure you are going to love Tahiti!!
A tip on taking photos my wife likes to use live mode on the iPhone. Good for those actions shots like sharks and rays, If you think you just missed that photo you can go in and look at the 3 seconds and perhaps you did get the shot.
I’m headed to French Polynesia for 5 weeks, first visit. This was helpful, thank you! So, to confirm, don’t tip in restaurants, whether formal or casual?
Tipping is a very personal thing - but in French Polynesia it is Europena style so no you don't need to tip 15 - 20%. You might just round up your bill if the service has been good.
Thank you!!! What adapter do we need from US? I’m confused if it’s A, B or C? I don’t need a converter for iPhone do I ? I’m on the hunt for best solution for plug ins. Links are welcomed
I definitely suggest prebooking transfers. Taxis are most often available but there are times there may not be any. We always do pre-arranged transfers for our clients.
I'm reading you no longer need to provide vaccination information or take tests to enter French Polynesia. Is this correct for March 2023? Also, where do you buy the adapters? I have not used one before
Yes French Polynesia no longer requires vaccination or tests. If you are coming through the US and not American you do need to be fully vaccinated though.
@@TahitiByCarl Thank you. Also, where do you get these adapters to plug in stuff? I have no international service with my phone carrier and I'm also hoping to buy prepaid sim or a cheap phone to get Gps, cell service, and internet out there. Any info there? I'm depending on somewhere in Papeete. All your help is greatly appreciated
I just came back from Tahiti and Moorea. Tahiti is just overrated and extremely expensive for what it can offer. Moorea is beautiful but still extremely expensive. People are very nice.
Sorry to hear you felt it was over rated. That is definitely not the consensus of my clients who often fall in love with it and return for another visit. I am not sure what you did, where you visited, tours and resorts etc. If you want to visit again give me a call to help you with the planning and booking - that could make the difference. Without a doubt it is a more expensive destination though. Glad you were able to see it.
Sorry - there are not. I can't use an automated system as it really messes up all the Polynesian islands and words and unfortunately don't have time to review and upload transcriptions. Sorry.
