Halo 2A MP had such a unique, innovative and fun forge mode. It's potential was smothered by a lack of file share or custom browser at launch.

I remember the giant ring on Zenith being one the things I was most hyped about when MCC was still unreleased. I made every single Forge map using that skybox as my canvas, and I did always wonder just how they did it! Fascinating stuff.

Heh, I believe those same shadow birds appear in Halo 4 as well on the map Abandon. Really cool stuff here - the Halo ring on Zenith especially!

I hope someday that the lighting gets fixed. It's just wayyy too dark on certain maps. Sometimes I can't see details on the guns like the SMG. Yes, I have cranked the gamma.

After using Blender a lot the past few days trying to use 3D models to make thumbnails, I'm starting to think that maybe the cube on Remnant was left in accidentally. The whole purpose of the cube is to scale the map to size instead of it being a very tiny map. Most map creators know this but it's something I learned recently, as a person who has never made a halo map from scratch outside using forge, so for those that didn't know, there ya go, you just learned something new today. 1. The halo ring is an object, much like a forge object and can be scaled up and down. The "second" halo ring is actually part of the skybox, which can also be scaled up and down and both can be rotated. This does not require any mods, and I have a forge gametype that can do this. 5. Many maps have more than one skybox texture which are overlayed on top of each other to give the illusion of being 3D. These can all also be moved, scaled and rotated just like any other object. 6. The birds could be objects? I think those could potentially be grabbed as objects, but have not specifically tried it myself. 7. The storms on many maps are also objects that can be grabbed as objects. There is a gametype for Halo Reach called AnvilEditor that can grab many map objects that can be used in multiplayer game variants. This includes a lot of the built in map elevators. I was working on a version of that for Halo 2 Anniversary and had not yet finished it. There were some specific challenges that had to be overcome to make it work.

Numbers 8 and 10 were cool, the rest were just maps that had bad textures in places a player can't see...

I remember playing H2A on release and thinking the ring skybox was jaw-dropping... I still do. Totally underappreciated.

Relic isn't the only H2 DLC map in H2A MCC. Both Sanctuary and Warlock were DLC too. Ascension, Lockout, and Zanzibar are the only 3 that launched with H2.

I have so many ideas for things to build on the ring. Its so massive you could probably recreate a lot of stuff from different campaigns.

H2A was done wrong with just 7 maps, man. I prefer all of them up until Halo 4 and 5. Those weren’t Halo to me. They aren’t to most fans.

I don't particularly like the idea of shooting birds, or other wildlife in video games, because I'm aware of the dodo and the passenger pigeon, which had massive populations, but were completely wiped out, because the number of bullets exceeds the number of life. However, I will admit, that it is far cooler to have wildlife that can be shot in a video game, than to have these shadow textures.

You should revisit some of the things you did years ago. Maybe get some of the old crew back together.

Some of these points are the lamest thing imaginable. Oh wow there's a cube under a map because geometry is used when making maps and they didn't delete that one, how crazy. Woah the outside edge of a map that is out of bounds is a flat texture, coooool. Omg the geometry way outside of the map used low res textures because they're way outside the map, that's so interesting and totally not a thing in almost every video game ever. Yooo the birds that are super far away are actually just 2d objects because they're only viewed from one angle, and not actually fully modeled and textured! Oh look! the trees outside of the map are layered 2d images that wave instead of thousands of 3d modeled and animated trees with leaves and foliage all over them! Guess what, these flood creatures that are a map detail you can see on a map are actually a map detail you can look at, neat! This sounds like a list from someone who never played a video game. Almost none of these are interesting.
