Mr Deal Guy, take 2 tubes of those Refrigerated Cinnamon Rolls, quarter each roll in sections, place in crock pot and cover with a can or 2 with your favorite pie filling and cook on high for 45 minutes or until done. Drizzle with the icing and enjoy 🥰 I found this idea on YT. We also have done this using Cake mix, cubed butter, and pie filling layered. It’s the BOMB 🥰 CrockPotCobblers RU-vid
Trader Joe's peanut butter cups are the best. They're not overly sweet, and there's a tiny bit of texture. The MINI peanut butter cups are really good too. They've got the proportion of chocolate/PB right, which is hard to do when you change size (looking at YOU, giant M&Ms.)
As a lifetime Reese's addict, I was surprised by how much I liked them. One solid improvement is that the TJ's PB Cup always peels clean from the wrapper. If Reese's have one failing, it is that little bit of chocolate that either splinters off or sticks to the wrapper.
Those mini peanut butter cups are AMAZING. I like to combine them with the dark chocolate covered candied ginger for a really unusual kick. My housemate considers the dark chocolate Pound Plus bars a staple. And our freezer is almost never bare of Mandarin Orange Chicken, which that same housemate - who is an EXCELLENT cook - turns into the best “Chinese Takeout” ever by stir frying it with veggies and even more sesame oil and other fresh herbs and spices. I’d never seen the broccoli beef before, so I’ll have to look for that one as well. I’m not a fan of chilis, but we all love the frozen MacNCheese, which is indeed THE best frozen ever and rivals restaurant-made. I know someone who makes even better homemade, but trust me that is a VERY high bar, and since they just moved to the other side of the country, I’ll probably be slumming it with TJs for the foreseeable future. I personally LOVE the blue cheese pecan dip, and was thrilled to see it again over the holidays. Don’t know if it’s seasonal, but I suspect so, since I hadn’t seen it for a long time. Anither must have seasonal item is of course the Peppermint Joe-Joe’s. I only managed to score one box this past season, but they were wonderful as always. I’m also a huge fan of their whole chocolate milk, which is of excellent quality and few ingredients. My other item that I go to TJ’s for regularly is their Odorless Fish Oil capsules. I was told years back that they were the best balance of EFAs etc for *brain* health, and they are still WAY cheaper than most other similar ones elsewhere. I call them the Ugly Fish Oil caps though because they are in a hideous packaging of red type on avocado green background! Other people seem to have discovered them recently, though, and I’ve been seeing empty shelves recently. :( Thanks for the great video as always, Deal Guy!
A tip I had from a roommate was to treat myself to a small pack of the chocolate peanut butter cups next to the register when I go to TJ's - this way I don't have a tub constantly tempting me!
The frozen Red Argentine Shrimp is really tasty,meaty and large. Added with any of the frozen noodles is a great dinner for guests. Often I sauté a handful of shrimp in olive oil with frozen peas for a quick and easy low carb lunch
We don’t go weekly, but when we do, we’ve never been disappointed with what we bought. The seasonal Irish Soda Bread is outstanding as are the pumpkin spice Carmel rolls.

Not one thing on this list I would eat!!! But I love Trader Joe's for their fish, shrimp, nuts, fresh veggies, eggs, butter, cheese, water and pet supplies to name a few!
I’m a regular Trader Joe’s shopper and I love their breads and snacks. They have unique items for the holidays in the sweet section. We love the regular corn chips, peanut butter pretzels, candied walnuts and frozen fruit. Their prices are reasonable and their service is the best! 🥰

As far as Costco and sams club go they frequently have deals throughout the year where a 1 year membership is basically free or close to free. Just wait for one of those that’s what I always do.
If I am guessing correctly, Blank Name uses the rewards they earn throughout the year to pay for the membership. Pretty much making it free. I do this with Sam's Club. Last year I only ended up paying like $5 to renew mine with what I earned.
@@sheilasandoval2343 they come out with these deals where you get a free chicken free cupcakes etc and when you do the math and add up the value of these things getting your membership only ends up costing 5 dollars sometimes it’s free with all these add ons. Your paying the membership fee cost but your being given back product for close to or the same cost as what you paid.
The vacuum packed Greek olives, Kalamata & Chalkidiki Marinated Olive Duo, are great. About $2 for an 8.8 oz pkg. Refrigerate after opening. I'm Greek American and these are very good. Highly recommend.
When I visited Australia for business, my hosts taught me how to eat a Tim Tam.... nibble off the short ends and use the cookie as a straw to drink tea, coffee or milk. The cookie does fall apart. My favorite was mint tea.

One of the best Deals at TJ is the Frozen Fruits (in bags). Always fresh tasting and wonderful. Always the lowest price in town!!! Frozen Hash Browns - same thing and no additives!
I don't buy a lot of prepared foods, but I do make exceptions for some Trader Joes things. Another wonderful thing about TJ's is that you can return anything for exchange or refund with no hassle and no questions. Have only had to do it once and was amazed at the way it was handled. They are also always on top of any recalls. I mention this because I remember when a bad batch of frozen peas made their way to stores including TJ's. Again, the customer service was actually a pleasure. And, as far as I know, they treat their employees fairly. I've seen the same people in store for years. Anyway, yea! Trader Joes. Oh, don't forgo their "house wine." Can't beat it for $3 a bottle. At least that was the price the last time I looked. Still have several resting on their side in a kitchen cabinet. They have real corks!
I had to return something once...I had accidentally picked up the "sample" version of my usual body butter and brought it back. He said "Happens almost every single day."😂

My Mom practically lives at that store.. so, out of habit, I’ve become obsessed.. my Dad is a strict “name brand only” type & I have been sneaking Trader Joe’s products into his house lately… and he’s been happily eating them! I also torture my Mom with the tubs of peanut butter cups- she is addicted to them so, whenever I know I’ll be at Trader Joe’s & seeing her, I make sure to stock up, and I just tune out the yelling when she finds them🙃. My step kids LOVED the orange chicken back in the day! (I’m sure they still do, they aren’t kids anymore lol- but it’s tough to please teenage boys when you want to have everyone eat the same meal at the same time lol).. glad you tried the pancake bread- I’ve been eyeing it but hadn’t picked it up yet.. might be something I can get my Dad to eat lol. I’m a massive fan of the cereal selection there- it tastes better than the “brand name” cereals, and it’s made with a lot less preservatives etc. i could go on but my thumbs are starting to hurt from typing on my phone.. 🤣 Love the little solo-picnic area you set up there!
The flower selection was always great but lately it has really "bloomed" 😉. We love the Piccata Chicken, chicken enchiladas, & tamales. Fast, fresh, tasty meals. TJs has a lot of not healthy food but if on a diet or keto, try the cauliflower rice stir fry 70 cals/serving. Also a Mexican version. The baked breads are top notch! Candles & some skincare is good also. Since pandemic they don't have free coffee anymore 😪 the cold brew concentrate is fab! Thx Matt!
So glad you did a TJ video, my mom worked for them for over 20 years, my favorite thing from them is the tub of mini chocolate chip cookies. They also have a ton of good coffees as well, and for the wine lovers two buck chuck is the best ever. love you videos matt
Love all the things you reviewed and Ive tried most. As for the flowers you will never get a cheaper more lasting bouquet...my husband gets me the sunflowers and roses all the time!
Trader Joe’s is also the best wine store in town, always pick up a few bottles and maybe a sixer of some new craft beer. Really well curated and their own brand is often a great buy. Love TJs!
Another great video, but any review of Trader Joe’s has to include the olive oil! For the price and quality, it’s nearly impossible to beat. My Italian wife - an olive oil, pizza and pasta snob - won’t buy it any where else. 3-4 quality varieties at a reasonable price - we fill up a wine bottle box every time we go! Thx Rob
I completely agree. My favorite one there is the slim bottle of olive oil from Spain. It is the best olive oil I've ever had. The California olive oil there is really good too.
Kinda disappointed you didn't do a TimTam slam with the Trader Joe version. From their year-round products, I consider the Triple Ginger Snaps a must. They leave you with a thoroughly gingered swagger. Seasonally available items I must buy are their Ghost Pepper chili grinders and their enrobed JoJos. The ghost peppers are available around June, I buy 6-8 to last me long enough until they come back. The enrobed JoJos are an Xmas set. While I only like 2 of the 4 flavors, I eat those 2 up, and give the other 2 to someone else.
YES! I love fresh flowers but I stopped buying them from TJ’s because they started getting a bit frumpy. I’m happy that they’re paying attention and bringing in a better selection!

The small orchids are a great deal as well. I have 6 of them in my kitchen window and right now they are all blooming. I gave them a bit of water every week and that’s it! I love Trader Joe’s!
Try that cookie butter with some crunchy breadsticks, pretzels, Stacy’s bagel chips, or melted and used in some waffles/pancakes. So many more options. The cookie butter is just killer. Also, try the caramel and cheddar mixed popcorn. It sounds strange but I highly recommend it.

Matt, next time you go try the Indian bread malabari paratha - flaky and delicious, 5 frozen pieces $2.29, two pack of frozen chocolate lava cakes $3.49 (pick up some vanilla ice cream) - no trunk feeding until you rig up a microwave in there, the shelf stable whipping cream in an 8oz carton for $1.39 is so convenient to have on hand and no odd taste, the 11 ounce goat cheese is a steal compared to 4 oz grocery store prices $4.99.
I love your videos, and Trader Joe’s. The Beef and Broccoli is always in my freezer, and I may or may not have a package of brookies hidden in my bedside table. 😂
The very first time I ever tried fried ravioli was from Trader Joe’s many years back. It is really good there and all these other places just don’t compare.

The French Onion Mac n Cheese is also to die for…sometimes we add a couple slices of Harvarti to the top when baking. Also, when you can, try the carrot cake from the freezer section around Easter. It freezes so well, and we pull it out at different times of the year! And when making the orange chicken, we heat the sauce in a pan and add some pineapple tidbits with the juice…so yummy when mixed with the chicken done in the air fryer!!!!!
You picked many of my favorites at TJs: brookie, cinnamon rolls, corn chip dippers, orange chicken, I prefer the vegetable fried rice over the chicken fried. We will have to try the Japaneese fried rice. The mini peanut butter cups are better than the larger cups. However, you missed the dunker cookies & ice cream cookie sandwiches. Also, the coconut oil spray is the best.
Our closest Trader Joes is Rochester, which is a 90 min drive. We go every few months for a stockup. Vegan ice cream, goddess salad dressing, carrot-miso dressing, vegetarian frozen food
1) their garden vegetable soup I use it for a base and add all kinds of things to it, it is a staple in my house 2) the southwest salad - it's freaking awesome 3) that eggplant parmesan is delicious 4) cauliflower gnocci, lower carb and very tasty 3) Pepita Salsa is the best salsa on the planet, spicy deep flavor, little crunches of pepitas. I give it to a friend, and he eats the whole jar in one sitting. So many other great things at Trader Joes - but these are some of my staples. Thanks for some other ideas! (oh and those brownie cookies, oh man they are good)
You have to try the cauliflower gnocchi!! It's incredible, pairs well with most sauces (I'd skip a heavy cheese sauce- but a lemon ricotta sauce is divine with some salmon or pork), and it's a healthier option than pasta.

My favorite quick meal to make is fish tacos. Panko breaded tilapia filets,bake them cut down the middle long ways,heat up corn tortillas, squeeze some lime juice on, add cilantro dressing,add extra hot habenero ghost pepper salsa, add shredded green cabbage. And thats it. I usually bake tempura shrimp with filets and vegetable spring roll with sweet chili sauce to dip in.🙂
Great recommendations from this amazing store! Mixing the Peri-Peri sauce with Greek yogurt makes a great dip and softens the spicy kick. Moms always know best...of course licorice should be black 😀 There are several non-food items at TJ's that I always use: Head to Toe Moisturizing Balm and Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer (refrigerate when it's hot out and this is so refreshing).
The Thai Lime and Chili Cashews are literally my favorite thing there and have a good kick to them. Herbs and Spices Popcorn is a fantastic snack. The Classic Potato chip is JUST as good as Lays for like half the price. Like for real. Also the meatloaf in the refrigerated section is great. All around awesome place. I've never really found anything I dislike there.
I love Trader Joes! The "Pound Plus" chocolate bars are the only chocolate I use when making Million Dollar Fudge. I use the 72% Cacao Dark Chocolate. This fudge recipe calls for 24 ounces of a sweeter chocolate, so I buy two bars (17.4 ounces each), cut enough from the second bar to equal 24 ounces, put the leftovers from the second bar in a ziploc bag and then hide it somewhere out of sight in my kitchen. If I don't hide it, the next time I want to make fudge I usually have to start again with two whole bars.
I have been a huge TJ fan for many years! Unfortunately they no longer carry 4-5 of my most fav products. This happens there often. Fall in love with their amazing variety of products and it’s gone in 2-3 yrs. still love them! I love their veg burgers but now I find spicy Thai chili veg burgers at Aldi (same owners as TJ lol). PS: try their spicy zhoug spread to make sandwiches etc. Divine!!!
Some great options but I have to mention one more product. The pineapple juice in the refrigerated section with the dairy products is NOT from concentrate. It is also in a carton so no metal can taste either. It is super amazing by itself or in your favorite pineapple cocktail.

Trader Joe's used to have a 16 oz. Package of pineapple bits in the freezer that was less than $2! It was the most reasonable price for pineapple anywhere!
LOVE your new dining experience! I love the dishes and decor. I think relaxing at home for you taste tests, I think, is a better idea. Easier to cleanse your pallet and really savor the food.
When I was a teenager I always thought TJ's was a store for old people LOLOL. Now that I'm in my late 60's I have to admit I have loved this store since my 40's. My favorites are their peanut butters, berries, variety of nuts, greek yogurt, and everything PUMPKIN during the fall season! They used to have an organic canned chili, but can't find it anymore (at least at my TJ's they don't have it). Thanks for your rundown of their products!
You have just convinced me to actually go into a Trader Joe's! They aren't near me so store sightings are rare, but the next time I'm out, I'll make a point to stop in and try some of your suggestions... especially the cookie butter (despite the "thing you did with your teeth" 😂)
So many people think that Trader Joe’s is elite, or expensive. I find all their products to be good quality and have a good value. I also like that they don’t have coupons, or digital coupons. Anyone that walks in the store gets their value price. You don’t need a smart phone to buy quality products at a price you can afford.
I drive 45 mins one way to get to TJ's about every 6 weeks or so. Well worth it. He missed a comment on their cheese section. Phenomenal cheese!!! Also, if you see something you may like to try, grab it! It may be a one time only food item and once it is gone, it is gone!!
My Trader Joe must haves.. their almond croissants(frozen), orange chicken, chicken tikka masala and the apple blossoms. Their key lime cheesecake is also killer but only available in certain regions.
I haven’t shopped at Trader Joe’s in such a long time because it’s a bit of a drive from where I live, but after watching your video, I am definitely going to plan a shopping trip there. I’m going to try the brookies!
Greeting cards at TJ are all only 99 cents always! The selection is decent, but I hate paying upwards of $4 to $5 for a card that will probably just end up in the recycles. I also love the fact that they have amazing seasonal treats at Christmas. I often gift the items because the packaging is beautiful and who doesn't like a yummy treat as a present 😋
Hey Matt would you ever consider reviewing sweet treats that are sugar free? I try not to eat sugar, but I absolutely love sweet things!! I'm always on the lookout for sugar free sweets, preferably the ones that have stevia or some other natural sugar alternative. I try to stay away from the Sucralose or aspartame sweeteners. Anyway just a thought. I would love it though if you did do a video on the natural sugar substitute products. Love you!!!

Ahh, perfect timing! We just got a new Trader Joe's near me! Pretty sure it opens this week actually. Now I am ready to finally check out what Trader Joe's is all about. After watching this video and making my "must try" list, my grocery budget is already cringing 😬 😂
The prices at TJs are very good. I commented above I can get a basket full of groceries at TJs for less than I would get at Walmart. And the ingredients are far healthier. You will be addicted to TJs. Have fun. We got our TJs about 2 years ago and I am still finding things I have never tried.

@@thedealguy the convenient thing about TJ's is their return policy. I feel confident to try new things. Try their tiny mousse cakes. They change flavor according to season. Raspberry now. AND I love the Indian style Garlic Achaar sauce! I enjoy it on eggs but I could put that s%$t on anything lol. Hugs from the Bay Area!
I love Trader Joe's. The variety of specialty products and the overall customer experience make this my go-to place when I want Wegman's quality without the Wegman's prices. On a side note, the Mexican-style corn chip dippers paired with their smoked salmon spread/dip is incredible. Also, I highly recommend the white truffle potato chips.
Our closest Trader Joe’s is 2 hours away but when I know we are going I take a cooler and ice packs. It always come home full, along with boxes of wine.😁
Speaking of Asian food, I think the pork and Ginger soup dumplings are really delicious. I also like the scallion pancakes and the green onion pancakes. Their Philly cheesesteak baos are a pass though.
I hadn't planned on commenting but after your peanut butter dog impersonation, I must tell you I love your videos! Because of the holidays and other stuff , I couldn't get to Trader Joe's for a month. I finally got to go yesterday. You picked out yummy items. My husband picked out all 4 gnocchi flavors and we cooked them all for dinner. What a fun taste test we had.
I LOVE THEIR HATCH CHILE MAC AND CHEESE!! It’s my favorite. And I can’t wait to try those brookies! I just hope they aren’t gone by the time I make it to Trader Joe’s. I love buying their fruit rolled goat cheese rolls, and their cauliflower fried rice! Their frozen carrot coins and the vegetable fries are bomb too!

I couldn’t stop eating the pecan pralines at one point. Used to love the sourdough boule which is no longer available. Crumpets are similar to sourdough in that they are tangy, but have holes like a pumice stone which can soak up the sauce or syrup, whichever you prefer. Seasonal produce, frozen edamame, nutritional yeast flakes, Thai vegetable gyoza, and organic argan oil are something to watch out for as well.

The nuts are a reasonable deal too, not as cheap as Costco but also not Costco sized. Oh and a splurge, try the almond butter covered almonds! They are great 😀
I've never tried to eat the pounder chocolate bars but as a baker they are essential. Great for chocolate buttercream, ganache, brownies or even chop one up & use it in place of chocolate chips in chocolate chip cookies!

Their diverse cheese selection is terrific and has great prices; Mochi Crispy Rice Nuggets are a game-changer, and the little mousse cakes, which are raspberry right now but are usually chocolate and the decorations change, are to die for! P.S. These can be sampled in your car!😝
We have ate the mandarin orange chicken for yrs now paired with the veggie fried rice way better than the chicken fried rice or the Japanese fried rice. So filling yet super so legit. We also love the ricotta and spinach filled ravioli is amazing been a fave for a while now. With these things we always cook in frying pan and they r like 5 star restaurant quality meals. We also love a pizza from there I can't think if the name. We Love their red bell pepper and tomatoe soup, we but their oyster crackers, shredded mozzarella cheese, and add sour cream. We make our bowls of soup to personal taste. Their vanilla ice cream and chocolate cookie bon bons r next level amazing as well. Oh and their massive seedless grapes ugghh so good. So many amazing things I'd be here forever telling it all if I could lmbo.
I love Trader Joe’s. I have someone in my house that needs to eat gluten free. Their gluten free breads are the best I’ve ever tasted, especially the English muffins. Great GF pancake mix too.

Trader Joes frozen potstickers/dumplings FTW. Simmer in broth with onions and the vegetables of your choice. Do they still have those little trays of eggplant parmesan in the freezer case? Heat up one of those, cook and drain some of the Farfalle, chop up the eggplant parm, mix together and devour!

Best Buy is the pound plus chocolate bar ,you didn’t mention that it’s from Belgium ,where they produce the best quality chocolate ,I use it for baking .
