If you live in the 93 it's even cheaper. Montreuil, Asnières, Clichy, Aubervilliers, etc... There is the Metro everywhere.

@@xarielle1082 probably around a B2 level of speaking, writing, reading, and comprehension. you don't have to be so advanced, just intermediate to get through classes and understand what the professor is saying

Aena Mustafa I’m not sure for undergrad because you could most likely get your undergrad tuition paid for if you stayed in the US especially since there’s things like study abroad, I feel like 4 years tuition in Paris would add up as a crazy amount. But this also don’t consider factors like socioeconomic background. I’m only going for graduate school because the program is one year and living/studying there would be cheaper than me staying home in the US and studying for two years

Aena Mustafa if you want that experience as an undergrad student in Paris I think you should look into study abroad programs within your US university

@@aena5995 The university fees are low in France : you only pay 2770 euros per year, it used to be 400 euros but it has changed recently (for non-EU citizens).

Hey yes sure! So I went to an estate agency called La Foret, they are really good. I visited once and gave all of my documents so that they could analyse them . to see if I could get it. I payed a deposit yes :)

You’re so lucky to be able to discover so many cities ! Even though it might be hard to change friend group each time and to start again, but on the long run you are the lucky one

Hey I know your comments from a while ago so this may not apply to you anymore but thought I’d mention it anyway. I am moving to Paris in a week to be an au pair and I am 18. My flat, food, metro pass and french lessons are all going to be paid for and I’ll also get €90 each week. In return I’ll be working 30 hours a week picking the family’s 10 year old son up from school at 4:30 each afternoon, helping him with his homework and English etc. I get weekends and school holidays off. You don’t need any qualifications to be an au pair, just basic french and a kind personality. You also don’t need heaps of child care experience. I’m only doing this for a year then coming back to the uk for university but I know that some people do it for a lot longer. The website I used to find this was au pair world. Maybe this is something you could look into. or maybe not. Good luck anyway:)

@@eviedowding5254 thank you plus I'm a male so I'm not sure about au pair I've never heard of a male au pair not that its a concern just im not sure they allow males ? Plus I find au pair interesting but would like to apply as a student just to learn frenxh and eventually live in france but i need to become more knowledgeable on it first been really busy in the UK rn with the covid 19 stuff working hard im 19 so trying to save up

Aena Mustafa there is a website you go through, and the family have to upload references etc. And most of them have had au pies before so you can contact them. It’s quite a normal thing actually I’m in a facebook group with about 200 au pairs in Paris from all over the world. But yes you are right in the sense that even with all that it can still be risky. I am not actually living right with them which is nice, I am in a live out position so will get my own place, but many au pairs do live with the family.

Yes, but if you're not staying there for too long then its okay. I suggest if ur staying there then learn french first instead of learning french when u get there cuz its pretty hard for that. -lives in paris.
